Music from iPod Nano to iPhone 6 s

I would like instructions on adding the music on my iPod Nano for my iPhone 6 s.  Thank you!

You can not do directly. If the music was originally purchased on iTunes, you can download it on the iPhone by going on iTunes Store > bought tab down > Music tab at the top > not on this iPhone. All your purchased music will be on the left side, sorted by artist. Tap on an artist and songs appear on the right. Tap the cloud icon to download.

Or tap recent purchases on the left, not in this iPhone and all of the songs appear on the right side. You can type the download of all the songs on the right. (Tap on the icon of cloud)

IF you use iTunes on your computer, and the music is in your iTunes library, sync music to the iPhone this way.

Depending on the context, I'll assume that you are asking how to unload files of songs from an iPod to a computer.  iTunes synchronization is generally in one direction, from iTunes to iPod library. You cannot use iTunes to transfer files of song from iPod to computer (with the exception of songs purchased from the iTunes Store)

NOTE: Songs purchased from the iTunes Store can be downloaded again free of charge, on the iTunes Store purchased screen.

Download your purchases past - Apple Support

However, there are methods and third party utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like 'ipod music transfer', you should get a few links (including a CNET article on the subject).  Once the files of songs from the iPod to your disk, add them to your current iTunes library.

Further, you should backup your iTunes data.  Apple describes a way to back up your folder full of iTunes on an external drive.

Manage and backup your iTunes media library - Apple Support

This method should also be used when switching from an old computer to a new computer.  By transferring or restore your complete iTunes folder, it's the same iTunes library on the new computer, not a new iTunes library with your old songs.  iPods are not designed to be your data from iTunes backup.

  • Can I transfer music from iPod Nano again iTunes account without losing any content?

I had to have a new hard drive installed on my laptop and lost all the data that was on my old hard drive. I have reloaded iTunes but now it obviously does not show me as having any music out there. I have all my music on my iPod Nano. Can I sync the iPod to download on iTunes for re - record my music?

Since the iTunes library on the new disc is new to the iPod, sync deletes the existing content of the iPod and replace it with the content of the new library (which currently is 'nothing').  By design, iTunes syncing is generally in one direction, from the iTunes library on the computer for iPod (with the exception of songs purchased on iTunes Store).  However, there are methods and third party utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something as 'ipod transfer music', you should get a few useful links, including a CNET article on the subject.

Once your music files on your new drive, add them to your new iTunes library.  After the confirmation of all your songs are, sync of the iPod as you wish.

How to transfer my music from i-pod3 to PC without losing my music from iPod?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not that a transfer backup device and media has been planned with you keep a master copy of your media on a computer that is in itself independently supported against loss.  To use a device with a different configuration, you pass the old library from a computer or a backup directly in the new configuration, not the device to the library. Synchronization of media isn't a way, computer to the device, update the contents of the device to the content on the computer, update or restore the content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases that can be transferred to a computer.

Redownload or transfer your iTunes Store purchases an iPhone, iPad or iPod to computer - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201267 - 'this feature only works for content purchased from the iTunes Store. From iOS9 is more apps that now need to be re-downloaded directly from the store.

To transfer other items from an i-device to a computer, you will need to use third-party commercial software.  See this document in turingtest2: recover your iTunes library from your iPod or device iOS - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991 even this method can fully recover what you originally had in the library. For example, in order to save space during synchronization if you had converted music files at a lower rate, or photos at a lower resolution, it is these lower quality files that will pick you up.

If you subscribe to the Apple music, titles that are not part of the content that you have purchased or downloaded may not be transferred and must be downloaded directly from iCloud.

How can I move my music from iPod to old style to my computer so I can reload the music to a new iPod?

You should really have your iTunes library on your computer and keep a current backup of it.  iDevices are not designed or adapted for the storage of data in the long term.  See the tips to the user of turingtest2 on recover your iTunes from your iPod or an iOS device for a list of tools and methods (for Windows and Mac) that can be used to copy media from your iPod to your computer.

  • Move music from ipod to iphone?

I don't want to synchronize all the music from my ipod to the iphone, I just need to transfer some of them. I think iTunes can do this, but I don't know how do it. Help please, thank you.

By the way, my pc running Windows 7.

    What I do:

Set up a master library for iPod (Pad in my case) and another for my iPhone.

Use the library of the iPad as my main source, all the pieces are in a folder on my PC.

Create a second folder, and then copy / paste just those tunes I want on the iPhone in this new folder.

Sync the iPhone to its own library. Synchronize the iPad to its own library.

(is kind of old, I believe that 10 years) was the last update (10.6.8) and I am in desperate need of all other music on the computer. It is obvious that I have to use an additional application to do this, I don't have another choice, any help would be much appreciated, thanks

It is the music purchased from the iTunes Store, or is it you have loaded to your iTunes library on your Mac from the CD or other media of music?

  • Itunes sync music from PC to Ipad/Iphone

I'm trying to sync music from my PC to my Ipad/Iphone.  I have 4000 + songs on my PC but only a few have to my Iphone.  I bought an Iphone6 with 128 G so I could have my music with me

  • Try to sync the music from iPod to iTunes library

I had to put a new hard drive in my computer, I so had to reinstall iTunes and basically start from scratch.  I have 757 songs on my iPod that I'm moving to my iTunes library so I can play the songs in iTunes.  What's weird, it's iTunes recognizes my iPod and shows the 757 songs with the title "On My Device", but it does not show the songs in the 'My music' library, which is the way I put it in place previously until I changed the hard drive.  I tried to hit the sync button, who has always worked in the past, and nothing happens.

Does anyone have advice on how I could do this?  I've been playing with it for 3 hours trying to figure it out, and I'm so frustrated.

Just for reference, I use an old school 2nd generation 8 GB iPod Touch, iOS 4.2.1

    Thank you!

  • Transfer music from iPod classic to the new computer laptop

Thus, on my old laptop, I had two accounts, one that was mine and that was my mother and my iPod classic has been synchronized to the iTunes on my account. I recently got a new laptop so that my mom could have one for herself, and so I proceeded to delete my account on the laptop. But I forgot to transfer all my iTunes music on a record hard to put it on my new laptop and so no longer have my music (about 3000 songs) on the former. I have all the songs on my iPod, and by logging into my iTunes on the new laptop, I could get my songs bought on iTunes, however, other songs (eg. those I burned a CD) I was not able to recover. Is it possible to transfer all the songs on my iPod to my new laptop?

  • How can I erase all the files on my iPod Nano (6th generation) and start over?

I can sync is more manually all the files that I need on my iPod Nano (6th generation) to my Macbook (OS 10.6.8) because it is full.  Instead of delete folders and songs about the Nano, which would take forever, I'd rather delete it all and start by cleaning up the folder that I keep in my iTunes library (11.4), then by loading all on the Nano.

    How do I:

    (1) delete all music from the Nano?

    (2) see how many in the iPod folder in my iTunes library Macbook so I know what to remove?

I know this must be a simple process, but it's been a long time I did!  Thanks for any help out there.

When your iPod is connected to your MacBook, open iTunes, click on your iPod in the sidebar and in the 'Summary' tab, click 'Restore iPod.'

If you don't see the sidebar in iTunes, go to the view menu in the menu bar, and then click see the sidebar.

  • Apple music not even on iMac iPhone

In music from Apple on the iPhone, you can select an album you own and the next screen is the music you have and options to follow this artist and also see this artists albums, songs, etc.   I don't get this screen on iTunes on my iMac.  I just get the usual drop-down menu in the title of the album showing the songs on the album.  Am I missing something?
