Music from PC to WMP

For help.

Lenovo G485

W7

WMP 12

Hi all

I downloaded a piece of music on my pc. WMP will play when clicked, but I don't seem to be able to be listed in the contents of WMP.

There is not a tab to allow me to do this in WMP.

(During playback of a CD, it automatically rips music)

Any advice how to do this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Colinito.

Thank you, XP ROCKS,

I followed these indstructions - I ran diagnosis, and after a bit of trouble at the reconfigure, music seems to be like it was before. MP3 'lost' still appears in Archive II, but still missing the WMP index! I can still play by clicking on it when it arrives in the start/search box!

Not to worry,

Thanks for your help.

Colinito.

    Hi Pete,.

I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

By default, Zune will save all media files in the folder music (default music folder).

You can add the Windows Media Player multimedia file from there.
    (a) click Start.
    (b) type in the box music search and open the music folder.
    (c) to add the files to the library by following the link.

  • I burned music from my computer to a CD - RW. Now I can play the CD in my computer, but it won't play on my CD player.

I burned music from my computer to a CD - RW.  Now I can play the CD in my computer, but it won't play on my CD player.  Any suggestions?  Is there a problem with the help of a CD - RW on a CD player?  I would like to know what format would be best universally to play in a CD player.

    Any help please!

original title: Burning CD music computer

Some CD players cannot read the CR - RW, especially older. Check the documentation of players for the type of files, it can read.

What you burn as - CD music or data (mp3 files). Yet once, some players older cannot read data discs (mp3).

The best universal format is to burn a music CD.

CD - RW has only need to put in shape if they have already been used and have given written on them.

Everything you do and you choose, always make sure that the disc is finalized IE. do not burn as a multisession. Once more, the older players cannot read a multisession disc.

BTW, here is a better alternative to WMP:

  • Move music from iTunes to Windows Media Player

How to import my iTunes music in Microsoft Media Player? These are files of music from a CD that I own and ripped in iTunes.

If they are not in mp3 format using iTunes to convert. Note where they are placed. Close iTunes, launch WMP and "point" where ever iTunes stored the files. Add to the library.

Or if they are already in mp3 format, just note where they are stored and 'point' WMP for them. Add to the library.

How to transfer music from Windows Media Player 11 for my Nokia E71 smartphone using a USB/cable connection? (Operating system XP sp3) I would choose mass storage mode or transfer media on the phone? WMP does not detect the E71 even if it is a compatible device. • Am I duplicating music clip-zip when I download the entire file of MUSIC from Windows Media?

On my Zip Clip with a micro 32 card: using Windows Media, I downloaded my whole 'MUSIC' of the file to the device.   Now that I've added more music in my Windows Media MUSIC file, download the entire file again for "updating" of new music, than i've got, or will I be duplicating what was there before?

It seems terribly painful to have to selectively add new music, checking back & comes to see what is already uploaded on the Clip-Zip.

If you use the 'sync' feature in WMP, it will add only what is new or changed in your music on your computer folder. Note that this method is a double-edged sword; It will also remove all the files that you may have removed the record music from your computer. This is not a good thing.

  • Protected by digital rights management and cannot add music from windows media player to windows movie maker

Original title: I can't add music from my windows media player to my windows movie maker?

I made a video with windows movie maker and when I tried to add music from my windows media player, I got a message that says that my music is protected by digital rights management and it would'nt I will add the music.i have made a film before, and I could add music.the music in my Media Player is from my own cd collection. then how will I can't add music to my windows movie maker?

Movie Maker probably only supports unprotected WMA files.

WMA files will be protected if they were torn apart by WMP with the copy protect music setting (Options of WMP - music Rip) turned on. For an unprotected WMA, you will need to re - rip track, after being assured that this setting is disabled.

  • I just downloaded winows meïdia player 11 it won't import my music from my external hard drive

Winows meïdia player 11 won't import my music from my external hard drive whenever I try to add files, it just seems threw? How can I get my music in my library?

The http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925718 instructions are for WMP 11 on XP. Here are the correct steps to WMP 11 Vista: (note the reset of the library will make you lose all the counts to play and possibly ratings too)

    -Restart the PC.
-Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service . If its status is started , double-click the service, and then click stop .
-Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the search field and press ENTER. This folder opens in Windows Explorer.
-In this folder, rename the folder Media Player as Old Media Player . If you do not see the folder, then it is probably hidden. Set Explorer to view the hidden files and folders and show protected system files.
-Launch WMP, your library will have been reset and will be rebuilt. Check if the problem persists.

  • Delete music from library

trying to delete music from my library which is no longer on computer

There is music in the WMP library which has been deleted also probably? In the future when you want to remove the music, do it via the WMP library - click on a beach or an album and you will have the choice of two 'delete from library only' or ' delete from library and my computer. This will ensure that there are no in the WMP library.

To delete the obsolete library, open WMP click on 'Tools' - 'Advanced' and select 'Restore Library' - which should tidy up (if you do not see 'Tools' click 'Organize' "Layout" and check "Show Menu bar")

    Cheers - Ric.

  • How can I transfer music from my iPod to Windows Media Player?

    Windows media player/Center

How can I transfer music from my iPod to Windows Media Player?

WMP is not built-in iPod support, so you will need to use another media player, such as iTunes or Winamp, to get the music from the iPod to the PC (I don't know if iTunes will allow you to do, but Winamp will certainly be).

If you then copy the music files to your personal music collection, they appear automatically in the WMP library.

How did get on your phone first? You can only synchronize with 1 iTunes library at a time.

  • Transfer music from old PC to MacBook

I'm about to replace old Windows with a MacBook Air computer.  The PC has a "iTunes Music" folder rather than a file "iTunes Media.  Is this going to cause a problem when I try to transfer the contents to the new computer, and if so, how can I deal with it?

My resume in a sentence if you use preferences by default iTunes settings: copy the folder integer iTunes (and to ensure that all of its subfolders and files) intact at the other disk, hold down the option/alt key (shift on Windows) keys to start iTunes and on request to select a library select iTunes Library.itl file in the copied folder (open a different iTunes library file or create a new one - https://support.apple.com/HT201596).

When it comes to a new car/computer put the iTunes folder copied to the default location of Macintosh HD > users > * user name * > music (or home > music) so you don't even have to start with the down option, iTunes will automatically look it there.  (Make sure that it is no anything already in the iTunes folder it that you want to keep because you will replace it with the one you are moving).  Don't forget to authorize computer in iTunes to your Apple ID if you use it to synchronize with Apple devices or play multimedia DRM protected (e.g., movies).

Some elements used in iTunes related activities are not stored in the iTunes library folder, but in special folders.  If you move a library to another computer, you can copy these too:

  • My music from my classic I Pod won't play on my computer

I connected my I Pod classic on my computer. I see the list of my classic I Pod music in the bar of music from I Tunes program. However, the list is light gray in color. When I select a song in the list, it will not play.

If the list of songs from iPod (as shown in iTunes) is grayed out, it probably means you are using automatic synchronization (setting synchronization music ) to load songs on iPod.  When you use the Auto-Sync, iTunes syncs iPod "" with your library iTunes. You can not directly access songs on the iPod.  This is why they are greyed out.

Songs on iPod should be in your iTunes library.  To listen to this song in iTunes, find it in your music library and play from there, not from your iPod.
