Music of passport of blackBerry endangered on my passport

Recently, I put a 64 GB sd micro card in my passport and tried to move my music library on it. It is over 30 GB, so I didn't put it on the memory of the device to slow it down. I already had a few ringtones I've done over the past years (all .mp3 files) for other phones registered in a separate folder and a ton of pictures. That they never disappear. A couple of times now when I needed to remove the SD card for other reasons, when I put it back in, almost all of the music that I have loaded on is part! It leaves me with maybe a playlist .m3u file and perhaps close to 60 songs. When I get new sd card and plug it directly into my office, it shows all the music is still there, but my mix of phone or blackberry will not recognize the files. Once I added in all of the music through the mix, the other time just to copy and paste directly on the sd card while it was connected using a sd card reader. Why keep the files disappear and why the new files I've added will not be displayed? I use a SanDisk Extreme Plus 64 GB micro sdxc card. Any suggestions?

@ddkitty89 Instead o f remove the sd card, try to connect to your device via wifi and view files. See if they are all there?

I find the re-indexing of the files on the sd card to be a long process. I usually keep only about 3 K - 4 K songs on my device and it is often more than an hour for them to show up in the music app, but I can see them looking at the sd card on the WiFi.

I also found link is a bad way to sync files, I've normally copy it to WiFi - it seems to take half the time and link seems never to copy them all. (I use the link on a Mac OSX Yosemite, which may be different from the issues on a Windows PC).

The suggestion to format the card in the device and never take it off is also good. I know it takes a little more to copy files, but are you sure this isn't another OS that introduces the problem.

  • Music on my curve blackBerry Smartphones

Hey everybody I need your help, maybe it's simple for some, but I am new to this... ok, my previous phone had a media card with a lot of my favorite music, when I upgraded to the curve 8330 I simple to install the map for BB and all is well. Now, I want to add music to my BB, but here's the problem. My pc will not download the BB desktop software, it gets to a certain point and everything freezes. Heres so my question, can I load my music on the memory card some other way and get the curve to recognize and play music?

    Thanks in advance

You can make use of the mass storage Mode. On the BlackBerry, go to Options | Media Media Card recommended parameters are:

    Media card support: WE
    Encryption mode: NO
    Mass storage support: WE
Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected: YES

Mass storage mode allows your BlackBerry to act as an extra drive when it is connected to your PC. It will appear as an extra drive letter in Windows Explorer. So you can just drag/release the multimedia files on your memory card

  • How to get music on the STORM BlackBerry Smartphones?

I loaded the media manager provided on the cd but when I try to download music on the device, it is a no go. It doesn't seem to be an option to simply drag and drop the music files or even how to download through the Manager of?

Someone at - he managed to do so far?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Moving files by using the Media Manager is on page 77 of the guide, in the link below.

BEFORE , using either make sure that these options are set.

First of all go to OPTIONS/MEDIA CARD/make sure

MASS STORAGE mode and the AUTO mass storage mode to ACTIVATE when connected is activated.

Make sure that the CONTENT PROTECTION is disabled.

You can also move files by connecting the device to the PC via USB. Then open MY computer and the card support in the device appears as a flash drive.

You can "drag and drop" files in the right folders. I prefer, it's fast, easy and effective. (and old school)

  • Music files on 8820 blackBerry Smartphones - a lot of problems

After downloading four CD (mp3 if I remember correctly; used Roxio and the same procedure that worked well in the past) on my 8820, several of the songs/albums would not play at all. including the albums and songs that preceded this particular download.  Some of the older ones would play.

Thinking that the erasure of them would solve the problem, I deleted all but one album (again, using Roxio).  All the songs are deleted still appear on the screen 8820.  (They do not appear on the list Roxio).  Just out of curiosity, I tried to play one but, instead, one of the songs "not deleted" plays.

    Any ideas?

After reading the other (somewhat related) problems on this forum, I removed the battery for awhile and then reloaded the music files.  All of the symptoms mentioned previously have disappeared.

I now have another problem, but it deserves it's own validation.

  • New folder of music on the curve blackBerry Smartphones

I am trying to find a way to put a few rhymes on the curve, but not in the same folder of MUSIC on my media 2 gig card. I'd rather not play Madagascar in listening to my favorite songs! I'm currently hiding them in my RINGTONE folder because if I can't understand how a new storage spot and have the BB find him.

I made a new folder in the MUSIC folder using the desktop software and put the songs, but the folder disappears when I try to find it.

    Any help is very appreciated!

all music files must be either music or rigtones folder or in a subfolder of these two folders.
If you use a different folder, the files will not be indexed by the media application and you won't see them unless you use Solution Explorer.

playlist is a good idea, but you can also simply change all your children mp3
and change the IDTags: set the 'kiddy' example Album field.

then in the media application, search by album and select kiddy.

  • Cover blackBerry Smartphones for music that I downloaded

Y at - there a site where I can add (risk free) image of the cover of the album to some of the songs I downloaded and added to the music library on my blackberry? I haven't looked enough, but the songs that show the generic drive seem to be old songs or those that I do not download, but instead transferred to a CD.

Dave, do you use iTunes?  I found the tracking work in iTunes works really well.

I also bought a program that goes out and seeks the work that works as well.

Otherwise, I would use Google Images to find your work.
