MUTE led & mouse

Hello! In September, I bought a HP lodge dv61237-ca, which origin supplied with Windows Vista. I updraded to Windows 7 as soon as I received the DVD you sent me.

Since then, my led silence blush more when the sound is muted, my mouse clicks on when I'm not, and it doesn't scroll down most. I tried to reinstall/upgrade at level of the mouse drivers, but does not work.

Help, please!

Thank you.

Here is the audio driver IDT; This should get your button mute to work properly.

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-75500-1&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&product=3979368&OS=4063&lang=en

I assume when you say that the mouse, you are talking about the touch pad?

If you are, here is the driver for this.

You can also check in the Device Manager and see if there is no yellow triangles in there which may indicate the missing drivers.

The above is for 64 bit. If it is 64 you can also use 32 bits to try, if the 64 bits that do not work.

Another common that people miss is the CIR driver.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download Realtek HD Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp66001-66500/sp66250.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers. Right click on the Realtek audio device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box to enable this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp66001-66500/sp66227.exe

After reinstalling Chipset, stop the laptop - for this by holding down the left SHIFT key you click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a boot hybrid.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu. Press f9 to load the default values (sometimes it is f5, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER. Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

When windows has reloaded, open your download folder, right click on the installer of Realtek and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation. When it finished, restart the computer before checking if the 'secret' led works now.

  • EliteBook 8440p: button Mute LED Touch doesn't change color.

My laptop has a Ribbon bar buttons touch LED above the function keys. In this document, the 3rd button on the right is the button mute volume. When they are affected (as expected) he cut the sound or vice versa. But the problem is it stopped to change the color of Cyan to Orange when cut (and vice versa). Although earlier he did change color as expected.

I even tried the taskbar sound mute, but even then it does not change color. The LEDhardware's alright (no fault of material here). I can tell because when I turn on my laptop, this is the case, as expected, go orange.

It's really annoying, I need help badly please. It is a portable jump movement.

    Hello

The driving mute functionality is provided by the audio software package, so most likely, Windows has updated this to a version that does not have this feature.

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63501-64000/sp63555.exe

When finished, turn off your WiFi card (or if wired, just unplug the router/access point).

Then open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

Let Windows load fully, then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

If your mute led functions now correctly, turn on your wireless adapter (or re - connect the access point / router) and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 automatically update the IDT audio driver again.

  • (Redirected) Error POST LED codes laptop Studio XPS 1647

(I posted this on the forum of portable equipment, but it has been a few days so far that there is no help yet).

    Symptom:

Studio XPS 1647 computer laptop cannot start after POST and pasted to the Dell screen with about 80 percent progress bar. After that now the FN key and press the power button to start ePSA, all three volumes would be flashes two times, immediately followed by the MUTE LED flashing layout and then jump, followed by up and down LEDs + turn signals and the volume upward the LED switches off the coast and then just the Volume Down LED flashing continuously. The fan is switched on immediately after the PSA starts at slow speed, and then it runs faster after a few seconds with the noises.

My Studio XPS 1647 has recently had overheating problems, and sometimes they would cause BSOD. A reboot after BSOD shows always broke the screen images. The BSOD has always come with error bcode 116: it's apparently related video card. Last weekend so I opened the case, removed the radiator and fan. The event of heat sink was completely blocked with a thick layer of dust, so it is no wonder the overheating. I have cleaned the vent system to the radiator and fan, cleaned the top of the processor and the upper part of the GPU chip, the shape of base paste heat and everything back together. After that, the machine could not go to the Dell splash screen at startup.   I already checked the discussions and followed suggestions on holding down the power button to remove static, the reinstallation of the memory card, etc., but they are of no use.

The following video shows the locking POST LED codes:

  • DV7-lights remain on after stopping

I have a problem with laptop DV7 - 3164CL s.  Everything works perfectly EXCEPT when I stopped, the machine stops (power led on front left goes and top off) but the mute led, the volume, the multimedia control slider of the duct and the stay of the adapter wireless led (orange now) all the lit.  There is no disk activity and, except for the led stays on, it would appear that the machine has stopped.

I did a full system recovery, made all updates of HP driver, all the Windows updates, latest version of the bios installed.  The problem still manifests.  I'm now leaning towards a material defect problem or maybe a bad connector plugged in the led Panel?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you, in advance.

    Bob R.

This problem is no longer.  I had posted a thread separate here; but responding to a similar problem here:

It's the same problem, two positions.  Thanks for helping - I don't know what we would do without the forums and google.  Many problems are solved here.  It was surprising to see how few people know about this thing with the lights on after his stop.  Perhaps our conclusions and our messages will help someone else with this problem.

  • Yoga ThinkPad FN keys

    Hello

I completely reinstalled windows 8.1 pro on my ThinkPad Yoga. After that, I installed all the drivers, including the updates provided by Microsoft and Lenovo (using the 5 Lenovo system update).

But I can't use all the FN keys (which means special functions such as the opening of the bar pane windows 8 settings...) Also the orange led is lit on the F1 key (I guess this must indicate that my speakers are muted - but this led is always on).

What should I do or what I have to install also using all special keys FN, including the correct indication of the mute-LED?

you have the screen on installed? check under uninstall menu in Control Panel.

I have a 1100-DV8T running win7 pro.  Product #vf836av.  Once Microsoft fixed a few issues that I noticed that the Mute button is still orange but works correctly.  Settings mute, volume and tone do not appear on the screen when you use the touch buttons which makes it difficult to know what is happening.  I guess that's probably a driver issue since it occurred when the pilot for a hard drive problem.  I already tried a hard reset with no luck.   Any suggestion?  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

Regarding the status of the mute LED, try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp48501-49000/sp48945.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

On-screen display for volume etc is provided by HP MediaSmart SmartMenu which can be downloaded from the following link.

  • HP Mini 210: Sound silent light 'stuck' on

This computer was initially provided with Windows 7 Starter. I recently uppgraded to windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit.

Initially, I had bad turn the wi-fi/bluetooth radio.

Now the radio will function correctly but the volume mute led is on, but the sound of the computer is not cut.

I can turn off the sound by using the icon in the system tray.

    Any ideas?

I know it's a little slow, but a bit boring.

    Thanks in advance.

Here is the final verdict which has solved the problems for me.

    Computer: HP Mini 210 t-1000

Operating system: Win7 (originally shipped with Starter - 32 bit; upgraded to Home Premium 64-bit edition)

    All other parameters are OEM

When the Home Premium 64-bit Win7 was installed there are a few problems of key board because the sound has not might be cut from the keyboard (stuck on silent light) and wi-fi/bluetooth could not be extinguished (taped to light; required function two presses of the key wireless turns off).

These two issues have been resolved, thanks in part to the good advice of HP Support Agent D5GR!  View to look at the pilot sets put me on the track of successful correction gaps.  Note: I was very careful to replace the chipset drives until I did research more. That would be my last option.

So, my first step, then, was to look at all the drivers of the computer. D5GR has provided the link (see his response me above/below) by pilots.  Given that the original machine is equipped with a 32 bit OS, I excluded all the "32-bit only" downloads in this section.  That included the driver chipset - BTW

Then, I downloaded all the drivers and utilities that were compatible with the 64 bit OS.  This includes the audio driver (sp49308.exe), wireless driver (sp48591.exe) for the Broadcom adapter installed and the Wizard (sp45222) wireless. There are a couple, but I didn't feel that they were relevant to this situation.

After each installation, a reboot has been accomplished.  When I had finished all the problems have been corrected; the computer works perfectly.

Finally, it should be noted that when a retail upgrade (not HP) is installed, there are the features expected that are not addressed in this upgrade - it is usually an OEM "generic."  These gaps must be filled with the provided HP solutions for the specific computer that you are upgrading.

That is my lesson learned in a few words.

Once again thank you D5GR for your advice and continue.  HP; the only way! ><>
