My 3rd Windows 7 computer is unable to access the computers on the network. "Unable to browse the network", or "the network is not present or not started.
3 computers, 2 XP, 3 windows 7. The network is wired and wireless Ethernet. Wired windows 7 computer can see xp wireless desktop. no computer can see 3rd xp professional running on the wired computer. Third computer can acess internet through router wireless, but when accessing NETWORK/MICROSOFT WINDOWS NETWORK PLACES/SET, a message comes back with "Unable to browse the network", "the network is not present or not started. I can ping other computers. I ran home and small office set up several times. The network is protected by Norton Inernet Security. He can see all computers in the group in its Panel of network security plan. This system worked to a point.
I'd appreciate any help you can provide.
All computers must be on a working group to see and access on the same network otherswise, you won't have access to each other.
Pls check your computers under workinggroup (domain name)
Check if your firewall is not blocking.

Try to format and do a clean install of Vitsa on an old my computer HARD drive at home to be placed in a new Tower. DVD starts up fine and then goes into an endless loop of the repair system that continues to check the c: / drive to find errors. Why is the installation does not start? I know that the folder c: / drive has Vista OS on it from my old compuetr. I want to wipe off immediately and start cleaning up.
original title: try to install clean vistaYou must set your BIOS to start on the DVD from the beginning to the top.
You have a good DVD of Vista (OEM/upgrade or full version) and NOT only a recovery disk provided by the manufacturer of the PC (or you burn you).
For a DVD upgrade, follow the method here and make sure you format your HARD drive thanks to the tools of "advanced install" on the DVD.

If you have a full version of Vista rather than a version upgrade then just do the first part of the above procedure.

The Installation does not start! Error: Unable to launch vcredist_x86.exe
Original title: the Installation does not start!
My installation does not start. As soon as I put the disc in the drive, the installation wizard appears, but at this time there that weird noise comes from the disc. Then the this black window appears and the installation does not start. I got the game installed before on the computer. But he had problems, so I uninstalled the game. Then, when I tried to reinstall the game, it wouldn't install again. "And this error comes ~ could not launch vcredist_x86.exe".

I want to install WIN 7 on my Dell XP computer. The disc I bought says that the hard disk must be clean first. The disc does not start on the existing XP. How can I do this?
Hello
Have you changed the boot order?
You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order and boot from the Windows 7 DVD:
How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

Do install a cleaning, removal of the existing XP partition and create a new partition to install 7 on in the own installation process:
