  It's a good thing I do not get out the my desktop's CMOS battery. Someone I know told me I 'Try to change the keyboard' Guess - it works now. The USB keyboard that I just bought does not work so I went back to the wireless keyboard that I used all the time. So now my problem is solved.

  Can I ask a question - why doesn't the USB keyboard support to accept that I press the key after the reboot for BIOS or Boot Display Options? Hope that someone here in this forum will answer for that.

• Acer Aspire V3 772 G BIOS grayed out

  I have a laptop Acer Aspire V3 (model G 772-9643), Acer sent me the recovery disks for. The first two steps they registered on the included sheet was to insert the disc labeled "System drive", then reboot and press F12 to get into the boot menu.

  When F12 has not worked for me, I went into the BIOS with F2 and discovered that F12 Boot has been disabled. I tried to go down with the arrow, but couldn't. All the options are greyed out, even on the other sections in the menu of the BIOS. Time and date system were virtually the only things not greyed out. Until I have enable F12 I can not change the order of boot on CD/DVD and cannot start the process of recovery with Acer discs, so I'm completely stuck now.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated, it's urgent because I really need this laptop for the school that has already started. The laptop is very expensive, it is important that I try to repair rather than buy a new one.

  If you already save and exit the BIOS, enter the BIOS again and check if the options are still grayed out.

  1. regarding upgrading to SSD and memory size max, please send me the part number of your machine or your serial number and I will advise you with accurate information.

  2. with regard to upgrading the ram, you can do it, BUT if damage you no matter which component while improving the security, then the warranty is voided. Also note that if you upgrade the ram, Acer will only cover its own warranty parts. If the ram you add becomes faulty, you will need to return the ram to the person / reseller you buy.

  I flashed my Acer TC 605 within Windows 10.  I think I used the version correct non-Linux.  Computer is going to restart and now, is NOT through the post OFFICE, but made just 1 long beep and then nothing.  I have seen many discsussion everywhere about the same problem with Acer computers and how to go in the bios recovery using a USB key. Unfortunately, nothing straight stitch on this the Acer Aspire TC 605 unit.  I tried to remove the CMOS battery, and moving the jumper CMOS reset.  I put the rom on a usb key file and rename it to AMIBOOT.ROM.  So far, it will not load the BIOS of the stick file.  Does anyone know a specific key that calls bios recovery?  Thanks in advance for any help!

  Yesterday I forgot to stop the laptop while I sleep and today morning when I turned it on it started reume windows, then I accidentally pressed the power button and it is just off.   So I had a couple of Acer Aspire 3000 who were not working and got one to work...

  But it seems that I am having some problems when the battery is in it - and otherwise fine without him.
