My acer shuts itself.

I have an acer aspire 5741z laptop (with windows 7).  Recently, he has been going blank at random times, then reboot.  Sometimes the screen gets lines through it, and a few times I got the blue screen.  A corner of the laptop lost some screws and this side can open.  Maybe something was happening in it? I have a huge problem with my laptop.

    > But I checked the temperature with SpeedFan, and I realize why it blocking down. Base temperature. are above 90 (degrees celsius!) after windows starts (couse sometimes it lights, for example when it is not used for a few hours) without the stressful situations. It's just I don't know what is cousing the problem. How is the temperature going if high right after windows logs.

I think that the laptop automatically stops due to this high temperature
Maybe the fans and cooling rack would not be cleaned in the past and the dust and debris to prevent cooling modules work properly
The dust should be removed all first you can do it by using a jet of compressed air.
I did it several times and it worked for me.

The temperature of the CPU can be different and is dependent on the use of the laptop but 90 c is really high, and this may cause a stop down

  • My computer keeps overheating and shuts... How to fix?

My computer guard gets hot and shut itself down... especially when I try to play games. Today, it will stop even when I tried to run a virus scan.  Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Hello

Clean the dust out of it and make sure the fans are working properly and vents are clear.

Disconnect the power before attempting to work inside.

You can buy cans of compressed air from computer stores to blow off the dust.

And if it's a laptop keep in a well-ventilated place and avoid placing on the bedspreads.

    See you soon.

  • Malware scanner found hundreds of viruses. What to do now?

    Hello

my friend has a laptop Toshiba, model no. PSAK2E - 001003KS. She came to tell me that she can you use his cell phone and when I started the laptop, it says hard drive failure and it still allows me to start window.

When I checked it didn't even run anti virus, so I scanned the virus with a malware scan, the scan has found hundreds of viruses even in about 10 minutes. But the thing is that the laptop shut itself down before the finished scan, and everytime when I start it, it turn off by itself after a few minutes of the window being initialized.

Do you think that the cause is malware? But no idea how I can clean while I can not even finish the scanning?
    Thx a lot...
    Appreciate it

Don t waste your time to scan the HARD drive. Reinstall the OS and restore your laptop to a friend with your own OS preinstalled.

Believe me, it's the best thing you can do.

  • Corsair POWER supply update does not post, powers of the powers of 5 seconds down and loops...

Have the HP Pavilion Elite m9650f with motherboard replaced in April 2012 class good to go.

Replaced the stock GPU Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT with a Zotac GTX 560 Ti GPU and

the stock HP 460 Watt power supply with a W0388RU Thermaltake TR2 600 Watt PSU in may 2012.

All goes well until October 2012.

PC randomly starts shutting itself off the coast and not feed until I have unplug the power cord and wait 5-10 minutes.

Finally, he stopped turning on all together.  Reinstall all power PSU connectors, etc.  same result.

Removed all cards, etc, same result.  Cards reinstalled one by one, etc., same result.

Reinstall the stock HP 460 Watt PSU, now everything works fine.

Thought it was a premature failure of Thermaltake PSU.

Bought and installed a Corsair CMPSU - 850TXV2 850 Watt power supply for a few days but still not good to go.

Lights, fans spin, but no MESSAGE, no video, tracks for all

5 seconds, stops, turns on itself over and over again.

Reinstall all power PSU connectors, etc. same result.

Removed all cards, etc, same result.  Cards reinstalled one by one, etc., same result.

Reinstalled the HP PSU stock, now everything works perfectly again.  ?

    Spends hours reading the forums...

Some say that the RAM may not report correct voltage for power supply.

If so, what can I change RAM voltage in the BIOS?

Others say reset CMOS I did, same result.

And someone on this forum HP thought that perhaps the Pegatron IPMTB-TK

Card mother Truckee can only accommodate up to 750 Watts POWER supply.

    Any ideas?

Can I get away with just using my HP 460 Watt power supply after all stock?

    Thank you.

I have an additive to add to this topic.

To refresh, my questions focus on a possible shift of the power supply and card mother specs:

What is an ATX 12 v 2.0 and above technical problem or a power CAP problem?

I posted my questions on the Forum of power SUPPLY Corsair PSU

at the same time and I paste it here now, a response

    to GUY of RAM.

    "Hey RAM GUY."

Sorry I couldn't answer until now.

Please specify the difference between the ATX 2.0 specification and 2.01

Spec that the negative - 5 v Rail is not present in the 2.01 spec and

beyond.  As I mentioned previously, the Thermaltake PSU that has been

running in my 2009, HP i7 tour for 7 last month said 12 volt ATX 2.2

on the case and even if the power supply HP OEM said 12 volt ATX

2.0 in the technical literature, that I found on Google, the real PSU I have does not work

have any note on the case ATX specification.  So I think it's safe to say, my

motherboard does not have the negative Rail v-5 at which he played

nicely with 12 volt ATX 2.2 spec, until recently.

Although theoretically it is supposed to be no limit on the amount of

Absorbed power, you can use to power your motherboard, the motherboard because

is supposed to use only what suits him and cap the rest, it seems that the OEM

can dial up limitations of power if they deem necessary.

Could be as simple HP, without wanting to compete with some of his HPs

Professional workstations, caps so power on some Pavilion Elite

Series models to prevent them from becoming a much cheaper

    solution.

In any case, I think that all the available information, digested, he does not speak

Specification of the ATX, but rather my motherboard HP has a limit of 650 Watts of power

If I think that I read that someone else got the same motherboard goes with

750 watts, but I do not remember where to find this announcement. »

    I'm back and Yes!

    Thanks again Lasvegaswireman!

  • Re: Satellite L750 - lack of IE9 64-bit

    Hi all

I have a new L750 and have completed all updates etc.

However, IE9 shows that the 32-bit option in programs - the 64-bit version is missing.

I uninstalled IE9 to return to IE8 and then reinstalled anything will do, I also downloaded and installed the patch to overcome and update issues - again without success.

I have a number of computers in the House - a Samsung laptop, Acer laptop, itself built runnning Windows 7 ultimate PC and a desktop Acer.

All run Windows 7 64-bit and all have two available versions of IE9. Only this laptop is affected. It's as if he thinks it's a 32-bit operating system. (which i isn't!)

    Any ideas out there?

    > but there is no 64-bit version shown...

The 64-bit version of Internet Explorer is placed in C:\Program may Explorer

Note: C:\Program Files (x 86) folder contains all the 32-bit applications also the IE 32 bits

  • Configuration of updates - in perpetual loop

Hi, I am trying to turn on my laptop, but keeps it shut itself down and restart with the message: "Configuration of updates. "3 of 3 0% complete"
Then it stops again and goes back to this message.

I'm desperate to get a file on my laptop, but this does not stop the case. How the hell do I? Any help is GREATLY received!

    Thank you very much

You can start your laptop in safe mode (F8 at startup > safe mode)?

  • Qosmio F45 - freezing problem

I bought my laptop almost 2 years ago were using it with minor problems until this week.

First of all, I use cd cases to raise the portable table, because in the last 6 months fan started working more than usual.

But this week it started to freeze, when I start the system, so I did system restore, it seemed to alleviate the problem, at least I could use it when I start everything first for 4-5 hours. But for example if I put it in sleep mode then turn it on, it crashes, I got this blue screen or twice system crash or it becomes totally insensitive. Generally what happens, it's hdd light stops flashing, computer stops responding, it will not shut itself, I turn it off and restart it, it works for 4-5 hours, repeat the same question...

Another thing I noticed, is that if for some reason, if I use the cd cases to raise or put the cd box right under the fan, freezing happens very quickly.

I initially put the blame on Windows updates, update of MSN and Itunes update, but I don't think that's the problem, I also thought that my hard drive might be dying, I downloaded hdd_health application, it says that my hard drive is 98% in good health, so I think that's not the problem.

I think that my fan may not be working very well, I used it in environments much dusty and I had the same problem with my previous laptop (toshiba satellite a25) when fan was working very well because of the dust in the machine. I managed to solve this problem using Radioshack dust remover spray well first time but the second time that I used it 2 years later, I think that spray damaged the fan, he began to create click sounds while working.

To cut short long story, what would you recommend? and you, what problem? If this is a related problem of dust, there risks using sprays remover dust under pressure to fix? I also wonder if it's overheating problem 100% because usually system turns off automatically when subject to overheating. In my case, it freezes and remains.

Anyway thanks for any help in advance.

Test the RAM for errors. You can use the free Memtest utility:

    1) go to http://www.memtest.org/#downiso and download the "pre-compiled Bootable ISO (.zip).
    (2) open the ZIP file and extract the ISO file to a temporary folder.
    (3) burn the ISO on a blank CD by using a "Image-to-Disc" or "Bootable CD" in your CD/DVD burning software (do not use a normal data project).
    4) Insert the Memtest CD into your laptop and put running, press F12 to start the start menu and select 'CD '.

  • Satellite P300-1GL battery falls to 85% when you unplug the charger

    Hello

I had a Satellite P300-1GL for about a week and I let it charge and discharge several times. When Vista tells me that the battery is fully charged (100%) and the battery light changes from orange to white on the laptop, I unplug the charger. Then, my battery level falls almost immediately from 100% to 85%. If I plug the charger in the laptop, he noted again the battery 100%.

Can someone help me out here?

    Thank you very much.

    Select this option.

    Hello

As mhoffmann suggested discharge the battery fully until the laptop shuts itself. Then reconnect the AC/DC adapter and charge the battery fully. If you now disconnect the AC/DC adapter is again - reductions of up to 85% battery level?

If so, I think that the battery must be exchanged. Contact the registered maintainer the closest that you can find on the Toshiba site and ask for a new battery. Technicians will try to help you:

  • Satellite M30 - is the temperature of the CPU ok?

I do a portable M30 growing for a friend and I noticed that the CPU temperature is between 55-72 ° C. I installed an app called sensorsview that monitors the temperature of the CPU.

This site indicates the maximum temperature for processors Pentium M is 100 ° C, but does not specify the average (it is 1.7 GHz and Centrino). Does anyone know what should be the + average? +

    Hello

First of all I m a little carful with this type of material followed tools regarding the temperature of the CPU. I mean that if everything is ok, the laptop will not shut itself or something else. In my opinion these tools may not can read the temperature correctly.

In any case, 72 ° C is in my opinion a little too high. You should try to clean the laptop. I guess there are a lot of dust in the radiator. Use the jet of compressed air to clean the laptop, it can blow out the dust.
This is why you should not disassemble the laptop so it of pretty easy to use.
    Check it!

  • Stop abrupt P500 satellite

When you play a game, after about 5 or 10 minutes, the computer suddenly shuts itself.

Then I have to restart completely.
The games work quite normally initially, also run without any problem on my laptop.

So obviously, there's no fault in the game itself.
My system is Windows 7, 64-bit, home premium.

    Anyone else having this problem?

Maybe the laptop stops due to a temperature inside the laptop.
In this case, play games as parts like CPU or GPU produce a lot of heat.

Have you checked if your cooling modules are free of dust?
Do this! Use the jet of compressed air or / and a vacuum cleaner to remove dust.
But be careful and don't aspire too hard. This could damage the fans

  • Satellite L300D shutsdown unexpectedly

    Hello

When I use my laptop it stopped suddenly, without warning or an error message.
I reinstalled the laptop 2 times and I returned to revoverypoints for 5 times but nothing works.
Is this a virus or is my phone broken?

Maybe the laptop is overheating and so he stops himself. So, you should try to clean it with a jet of compressed air. This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans. So you don't have to disassemble the laptop and you can buy it from each computer store.
    Check it!

How long does it take until the laptop shuts itself?

You have installed the laptop with the Toshiba Recovery disk or you have installed with your version of Windows?

I doubt that s a virus because if it s a virus it stop without warning doesn t.

    Good luck!

    Hello!

So, my computer started to shut itself down and random reboot sometimes freezes and hangs itself without having to restart and I have to turn it off by holding the power button.
He started with a 0601 error in the newspaper that I changed the cmos battery and the problem seems to have stopped for awhile, I had once a 0305 error, but after that everything seemed normal until I now the random reboot and gel (I get no error code).
After the Cmos pass I also an everynow ' 502 reset cmos ' and here, but I can always start the computer after pressing ENTER. I updated the bios to the version latest incase it was the bios and the issue is still ongoing.
When the computer restarts it sometimes reboots with half of my ram just so I have to restart again.

I think it could be a hard drive problem, but that's assuming only. Even if it passes the quick test, but I'll do the full test today. I can be on the computer without the main dough and only the AC adapter.  (this started to happen just after I had windows 10 don't know if it's a coincidence and I restored it to factory settings once after than to try to fix it)

Sorry if I've included a lot of information shaped but I wanted to be accurate as possible

Verification of the errors of the DLG tool indicates that the drive is dying, so even with a the OP goes to the factory back chances are that the issue remains, that's why I suggested to look for a replacement drive.

I'm sorry mate... Even if you decide to continue using it I recommend you to backup all important where data to another disk or cloud.
