I suggest to reset the default settings to default and check for the issue.

You may also contact the manufacturer of your BIOS to change these settings.

When I set up my Windows XP Media Center Edition PC to view DTV, I used the Setup etc., XP scanned and found all the available DTT channels. I thought as much, worked for BBC1, BBC2, worked, then I went to view ITV1 and other channels, could hear the noise perfectly, but there is no picture, just a black background. He used to work because I previously installed the computer. However, wouldn't be a difference that the TV signal will of the antenna, in a block of TNT, and then in the computer, there always used to work. I have that, it is not a signal problem because I could watch the TNT cable SCART on the computer and the image and the sound is fine just using the freeview box. It seems to be the Media Center. Please can someone help me? Thank you

  • HP DV6 ENVY: Envy HP dv6 black screen that turned while WE

I am very grateful for HP, that my cell phone ran very smooth for about 3 years, a few months after Windows 8 is out, and Christmas was coming right here. But after these good times, something strange happened on my laptop exactly at the beginning of April (wow exactly to April Fools Day and Yes this laptop trying to DECEIVE me I think, lol)...

I'm used to update my computer so I could keep my computer running well as much as possible. The last update, I've done was updated my graphics card: Intel HD Graphics 4000. Unfortunately, there were errors in the update of the map, so I've manually updated, and it succeeded. Now the computer tells me to restart the PC, so I did.

Now, something strange happened, he went through the process of restarting my laptop, after HP logo with the circle to move below the logo appeared, and after a black screen came through my eyes. Generally, it should be just 10 seconds so that it appears on the screen of Windows 8 and the login for the account, but that's happened. The black screen was 5 minutes, 10 minutes, still, waited 15 minutes and even 30 minutes! I was wondering what happens after upgrading my graphics card.

If someone help me? Thank you!

    With legitimate answers correct?

    Oh yes my laptop specs:

Welcome to the HP support community! I hope you enjoy your experience with us.

I see that you get a black screen after the upgrade of your Intel graphics driver. If the screen remains black our troubleshooting options are limited. Try to do a Hard Reset to see if a clean reboot gets it going. Keys Num or CAPS LOCK flashes at all? If so, how many times? If you are connecting to an external monitor, are you able to see anything?

  • Black screen that appears (with a cursor) after startup on Windows 8

When I start my pc I get a cursor and a blank screen after the Welcome screen. Help please

    Hi Salah,

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description, it apepars that you get with the black cursor screen after the Welcome screen. I will certainly help you fix this problem.

    (1) the question has started recently?

    (2) have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

Method 1: Unplug all external devices connected to the computer except keyboard, mouse and monitor and check if the problem persists.

    Method 2:

Step 1: I suggest to start the computer using safe mode and check if it helps.
Start settings for Windows (including safe mode)
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/Windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode

If the issue is not persistent, then follow step 2 to find the cause of the same.

St ep 2 : I suggest to maintain the computer in clean boot mode and check if the problem persists.
A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
You can read the following article to configure the computer to boot:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual.

    • On the Start screen, type in msconfigand press ENTER.
    • On the general tab, type or click the Normal startup option.
    • Press or click the Services tab and uncheck hide all Microsoft services, and then press or click enable all.
    • Then, press or click on the Startup tab, and then press or click Open the Task Manager.
    • In the Task Manager, select all your startup programs and then press or click OK.
    • When you are prompted to restart the computer, tap or click restart.

Method 3: I would also say you update the display drivers and the graphics card on the manufacturer's Web site and check the status of the issue.

I hope this helps. Try the above steps and get back to us for more assistance and with the requested details, if the problem is not resolved.

  • Black screen because of a video driver when the computer loading.

I tried to change my video driver and now I get a black screen when loading Windows Vista.  How can I regulate the video driver or any other suggestions?

    Hello

You can access Mode safe? You start the computer, press F8 repeatedly. Cases in this use System
Restore and/or know last good configuration.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No registration necessary data and re - install Windows Vista may be the best option if
    Here are a few more.

You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer as a 2nd drive (the best) or a
External drive USB enclosure and then backup to removable media such as CD, DVD,
or other USB keys. Of course, a real computer store or your system maker can help to recover
    the files.

Or you can use a boot Ubuntu CD to back up data.

Use Ubuntu Live CD to backup files from your Windows computer dead
    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/use-Ubuntu-Live-CD-to-backup-files-from-your-dead-Windows-computer

    --------------------------------------------------------------

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel
-Double click - Driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - device Manager - map - graph
then right click on the device and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

A method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure) is
CTRL + ALT + DEL - Manager tasks and tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS
-then on the Applications tab - lower right kind - new task - in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode
is accessible by tapping F8 as you start several times. CTRL + SHIFT + ESC will also start task
    Manager.

First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread. http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistaprograms/thread/50247d5e-0ae0-446c-A1bd-11287fd1478a

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all patch is usually on a base hit or miss.
That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the
Difficulty. Often using a restore point or Startup Repair will have no effect. You can try a
Google to see the proposed repairs, whom some have worked however these cover a wide
    field efforts.

If necessary and you can access all ordinary Windows.

You can try an In-Place Upgrade (hopefully save programs and data) or a repair installation
(if all goes well, the data records and need to reinstall programs). Be sure to do a good backup or three.

You can use another DVD that aren't copy protected but you you need to own

You will need to know your product Code.
