  Hello PhilipTanams,

  You will not be able to move the files to the C: drive on another drive Windows. All Windows files must be in the C: drive.

  Method 1:

  If you have personal files or data, you can move these files to another drive that increases the size of the C: drive by adding
  Method 2:

  If you have any other partition which has an empty space in it, you can extend the C: drive by adding the empty spaces to the C: drive.

  You are able to locate the folder that uses less space? Now, open the folders and look if you need data. If this is not the case, delete them.

• In Win 7 basket is empty, but non-empty

  My computer has run Win 7 X 64 very well for the past year. However, a few days ago I was remove several hundred GB of old project files, when I noticed that the trash did not indicate that I deleted all the files. After investigation, I found that the files were still intact in the Administration, at the command prompt, I have so used rd /s /q C:\$recycle.bin to permanently delete files, & to free disk space. However, this problem continues to happen, & I have to run the same command from anywhere, anytime, I really want to delete the old files.

  I thought that this above command actually destroyed the old trash, let the system to rebuild a new, so I'm surprised that this problem still exists. I have six hard drives on this computer, and then run the above command for all readers, but still the glitch. I also run the two ladies of local virus & Internet, but couldn't find any problems. The thing only I noticed, is that when I ran Windows Update last week (I do it manually, wait a week or so all updates & patches agree), it took nearly five hours to complete, but I don't see how that could relate to the trash.

  Is there a registry fix for this?

  In this case, I suggest you run the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker and check if that helps resolve the issue.

  2 are you able to install Windows update on the computer?

  3. do you have security software installed on the computer?

  Usually, you would receive this message if your copy of Windows has failed validation.

  My C drive shows me using 565 GB with a total area of 596 GB so I'm close to running out of space.

  Strange thing is that I can't know which uses all the space!

  I looked at the size of all files on the C drive, and what follows is the biggest:

  Program x 86: 32 GB

  Windows: 50GB

  Users: 271GB

  Which makes a total of about 350 GB, this is far from the projection of 565 GB used when I look at the properties of the C drive.

  So, where's the rest?

  I have the list hidden files and I looked at disk cleanup and defragmentation.  I also deleted the files in system restore, but it's all the little things.

  The difference, I'm looking for is huge then where is he?

  Control Panel / System / Protection system allows you to choose the amount of disk space to use for the Restore Points. I use 5 GB that gives me about 6 points of restoration.

  By habit, I tend to combine PDF files in the Page pane by right-clicking thumbnails then 'Insert of Pages'-> 'From File'. For me, this preserves the tags of these two documents, although the tags may have to be moved to the correct location (if I remember correctly the tags for inserted pages are put at the end of the tag structure, regardless of where the pages are inserted), if I put the tags in the document to insert into a container as a Section tag It makes the process easier. Travel set of tags in the right place is the only re-fixing that I remember having to do. What behavior you encounter?
