My bb 9900 (white) blackBerry smartphones does not display imei

Need help, when I try to check the series/imei of my phone by typing * #06 # my phone replies with "unsupported service." What is my phone is not authentic or something is just wrong with it. In fact I bought it 4 days ago.

Hello

What you describe looks like it must be supported by your carrier to operate... If they can't, then it doesn't. But that means nothing else than this key sequence is not a carrier, supported... it doesn't mean anything specific about your device. Instead, see:

Good luck!

Are the contacts to your BlackBerry address book and on your SIM card?

Or ONLY on your SIM card?

Open your address book, press the Menu key then click on filters and make sure that no filters are checked.

Now, back in the address book.

    No matter what?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones does not display missed calls if on the phone to someone else?

My 9000 blcakberry tell me if I had a missed call, if I'm on the phone with someone else... can it be resolved?

    Thank you

Firstly, you will need to inquire of your operator if you have the "Call waiting" feature, brought into service on your account.

On your device, press the green line to enter the call log > Menu key > call waiting. What do you see here?

On your camera too, always in the call log, press Menu > Call Logging > and see if the missed calls is checked. Do it and save.

  • BlackBerry Tour 9630 smartphones does not display the name of the caller

    Hello

I have a Tour 9630, version sw 5.0.0.732.  When the phone rings, it does not display the name of the caller, their telephone number, although this number is in my address book.  Once I answer the call, the name will be displayed.

Naturally, I would like to know who is the caller before I answer!  :-)

I found a few messages, ask something similar, although for different model phones.  Some of them suggest that I have to disable protection for the content... but I can't find it in the options.  Even in the User Guide, it contains instructions (go to Options > Security Options > General settings... but there is no "General settings" on my phone.)

If anyone knows how to solve this problem, I would be very grateful!

    Kind regards

Options > Security > encryption > include contacts.

There could be other solutions... Try these:

    1. make sure that you set your own country code to the Phone Dialer screen > Options > smart dialing.
Set your country code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your local area code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

    2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

  • BlackBerry 9700 "bold" blackberry smartphones does not connect to wifi

I have a blackberry bold 9700 and I got it a few days ago and every since then ive been trying to get the wifi working. Phones unlocked by the way.

I implemented the wifi fine but in manage connections, I have my network in green next to my wifi and a white check mark to the right and its supposed to be a checkmark im assuming.

No matter what I do my wifi symbol does not illuminate white his gray yet and I have configured the wifi and it says it's connected but still no wifi.

What settings on my phone or my internet or my phone I do not know now im so confused.

and I have a router linksys and im with rogers and im new to blackberrys.

The white tick means that you are connected to WiFi rotate.

A green check mark indicates that you are connected to the WiFi router AND your BlackBerry BIS data plan. Do you have this data Plan on your mobile service provider account?

If this is not the case, call them and ask.

    Good luck.

Ok.. I got it, so you bought a provider online for personal use, right?

If Yes, then may be the unit you have purchased already has some strategies active COMPUTER that aims to prevent these applications or features. To remove all political IT from that device to first make a backup of your Contacts, etc. using BlackBerry Desktop Software.

Once you have your backup refer to this Knowledge Base and reset your device to factory setting:

KB31291  :   How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software settings.

Reseting your device as it will remove these COMPUTER strategies, but more importantly after a reset while restoring your backup does everything restore, perform a selective restoration which may include Contacts, notes, calendar etc. entries. If you perform a complete restoration then these strategies COMPUTER may return and you will have to repeat the whole process.

Try it and tell us your progress.

  • BlackBerry App World Blackberry Smartphones does not open

BlackBerry App World will not open on my Curve 9300.

I uninstalled and reinstalled from my mobile, but still it does not open.

I uninstalled and reinstalled by plugging the appworld.blackberry.com website, but still it does not open.

I tried a lot of times battery pull but still the app world opened not only once.

I thought that maybe it's because some applications I downloaded via the app world. So, I removed almost all applications too (except some bare) applications, the app world still do not open even after pressing the battery or uninstall and reinstall mobile or Web site.

Also, all this time, the global icon is found in running applications.

By clicking on the icon in the screen of the applications currently running does not help.

By clicking on the icon on the taskbar status does not help.

    Help will be really appreciated.

Try this... options > device > Applications, remove the current AppWorld.

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    Then:

    1. Open the BlackBerry browser on the BlackBerry smartphone.
    2. Go to http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld3
    3. After downloading, please reboot your BlackBerry smartphone when you are prompted.
    4. Check that BlackBerry App World is located on the home screen.

  • My blackberry Messenger blackBerry smartphones does not work

My blackberry froze, so I took out the battery and put it in the back after turning on my bbm does not work. I reinstalled the Messenger, software, it still does not work. On my own network, so good so there must be a problem with the phone

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you!

  • BB user new blackBerry Smartphones does not include

How can a phone be a modem? I probably should, but I did not. I've seen it mentioned a couple of times on this forum and on crackberry forums. It's my first smartphone and my first blackberry. I love the phone, but I want to make sure that I explore its possibilities which is difficult when you're my age. Thank God for those who are younger, more technilogically well informed and are not afraid to share their knowledge with older, less competent souls like myself.

"Because the lack of communication is better than no communication. Even 10 Kbps is worth nothing.

    -Chris.

Not me. I would have major problems of patience. But then again, my work does not depend on either be on the internet. At least most of the time. I'd be up a Creek without a paddle for 1/2 the time the ethernet does not work in the room, I'm in.

  • BlackBerry Tour Blackberry Smartphones does not illuminate

The little clock kept showing in the middle of the screen on my blackberry.  A representative of the Association told me sometimes I have to restart my blackberry because its like a computer.  So, I took out the battery and put it again to restart and it will not come.  Empty white background will appear with the little clock in the middle.  Then the screen will turn black with the little clock in the middle and the red light blinks.  Could someone tell me how to solve this problem to my blackberry on?

If your BlackBerry is still under tension turned off with a black screen, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life may be the flashing red indicator light in the upper corner. Nothing seems to wake and Desktop Manager does not recognize that a device is connected.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Congratulations! Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.
    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.
