My behavior Ctrl + enter no longer works right

For centuries now, I've been taking this method to go to a Web site.

Enter I say google and then press Ctrl + Enter and expand the things be http://www.google.com and go on my merry way.

However, as of today, I noticed things are different. CTRL + ENTER doesn't do that. I'm now landed to a Google search page with google already entered into the search bar.

How to do this? Where my keyboard shortcut would go for this?

TKX.

Edit: I brain locked and posted this as Alt + Enter. I didn't do that.

I had this problem (sort of). I could not use alt + enter to open my bookmarks and history in a new tab. But for research, alt-enter worked. In addition, I could not use ^, #, *, etc. in order to limit the results in the location/awesome bar.

Turns, an extension (Omnibar) was the cause of the problem. People with disabilities and everything works as it should.

  • CTRL + ENTER no longer works in the bar of navigation in 3.6.13

    CTRL-ENTER has always been a standard feature in the navigation bar (URL / address bar). For example, you type only "getfirefox' in the bar and then press Ctrl + Enter and it auto the http://www and the".com"and sends the request, so you are taken to http://www.getfirefox.com without having to type anything other than"getfirefox"and Ctrl-Enter.

    It stopped working when I updated to 3.6.13. Also, I can't type a full URL and just press ENTER to submit. The only way I can cause the browser to access the URL I entered manually, place the cursor of the mouse on the "right arrow" icon at the right end of the window of the URL and click this icon.

    As you can imagine, it's really boring. I've disabled all my addons (I figured well Firebug or Web Developer of the origin of the problem) and the problem still persisted in all cases. I reinstalled Firefox 3.6.13 and the problem is always the same. I wonder if it has anything to do with Firefox 4 beta is installed on my system. But I don't mean to use them at the same time.

    I seem to remember someone saying recently AVG can cause this kind of problem, but you don't mention using that.

  • Hello, I installed Firefox 10.0. Everything worked fine before, but every time I enter a URL that I have to use the mouse and click on the arrow at the end because hitting enter no longer works now in the URL field.

    Hitting enter does not work in the URL field. Instead, I have to click on the arrow at the end of the URL field with the mouse. The problem came just after the upgrade to 10.0. I have the Yahoo toolbar & AVG toolbar (I got two toolbars already though). The fields of research both of the toolbars work when you press on enter. Just not the URL field at the top of firefox.

    Not a problem, happy that we managed to solve the problem

  • How long works right on F20

    Hi, I bought Qosmio F20, can someone tell me how long does the battery work on its own, for me as long is about 2 hours

    Hello

    As you know, it depends on the use of the laptop. If you use intensive two hours is a good time. On my Tecra I can watch a movie DVD completely and after that the battery is completely discharged. In my opinion, it's good to rated power.

  • Internal FlashBlock is no more? The "ask to activate" no longer works right.

    I moved from FF 22 to the latest version today and one of the few things I don't like is that I have to use Flashblock addon again. 22 FF was an option click to activate plugins. I've tried to set "Ask to activate" in the options of the plugin, but it fails. Once I have activate Flash on a YouTube page, it gets activated for all of the videos that I opened, which makes them autoplay. I see any reason for these changes, because the old system had the ability to set permissions for a site up and had all the advantages of Flashblock addon as well.
    Are there opportunities for the old behavior back? There is a reason, the new behavior, which is pretty much a subset of features old, is in place now?

    Hello GrayFace, the current behavior click-to-play going to white-list plugin content by the same domain during the 60 minutes (this is done to to minimize the distraction for users having to constantly re - allow each page load).

    If you prefer the old behavior, you can use this addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/click-to-play-per-element

    What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

    Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

    If your system is at a standstill and you must use the Task Manager to kill a process, it is not normal and your system has a problem that you can solve.

    If your task manager has been disabled (unless you have disabled it on purpose), then you certainly have another problem to accompany your first problem.

    The usual advice along the lines of "something has been disabled in Group Policy" and that's probably true, but if you are using XP Home, is not Group Policy Editor in XP Home and which is not really you tell where to look in group policy, even if you run the Group Policy Editor.   You need to know how to fix it.

    Here is a complete solution that works for all versions of XP and requires no hunting around to find where things have been disabled in the Group Policy Editor.  If you happened to have documentation for Group Policy registry locations, there is no hunting, but most people don't have documentation.

    Unless you have disabled these tools on purpose, chances are good that your system has a malware infection.  The malware knows what tools you use to try to find and remove, for the malware disables the things you are more likely to consume and prevents them from running if you can't find it.

    All malicious software tools you currently use or have used failed to protect your system.

    The malware will be happy you trick into thinking that you need to so something drastic to fix your system - as a facility repair, system restore point or a total reinstallation of XP.  This is what it would be like you, but these measures are not necessary.

    You must solve the immediate problem of the tools does not, then scan your system for malware when you are finished.

    No matter what kind of malware you've used analytical tools, they are unlikely to solve this problem, because they cannot tell if the changes made to your system have been on purpose (you or an administrator who makes them) or some malware changed them, so the analysis tools will let these things alone (it's usually a good thing).

    If your task manager is afflicted in this way, there are probably other things that also do not work - like the registry editor, System Restore and the command prompt, so fix them all at once even if you have not discovered they are broken again.

    These commands from registry removes the registry entries that are stop opening programs.  Although the registry entries do not exist, these commands are safe to run.

    Before making any changes to your registry, back up the registry with this free and popular tool:

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/ERUNT.html

    Open Notepad to create a new text file:

    Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    notebook

    Click OK to open a new Notepad file.

    Copy and paste the following lines of text into the new Notepad file.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
    "DisableTaskMgr" = -.
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
    "DisableRegistryTools" = -.
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System]

    "DisableCMD" = -.
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem\\\]
    "DisableTaskMgr" = -.
    [HKEY_USERS\.default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
    "DisableTaskMgr" = -.
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
    "DisableCAD" = DWORD: 00000000
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\SystemRestore]
    "DisableConfig" = -.
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\SystemRestore]
    "DisableSR" = -.

    Save the new text file with extension .reg on your desktop or somewhere you can remember with a name you can remember, something like:

    enableit.reg

    After you save the file, close Notepad.

    Locate the file enableit.reg on your desktop and double-click it.

    Alternatively, you can right-click on the enableit.reg file, choose open with... and select the registry editor.

    Answer in the affirmative to the question... Are you sure you want to add the information in the registry?

    You should then see a message that information has been registered in the register.

    If the registry editor has also been disabled, you will not be able to run registry changes to fix the rest of the problems, then you must first activate the command registry editor run.  Even if the registry editor is not broken, these commands are safe to run.

    Click Start, run and enter in the box (copy/paste would be safer) the following text:

    Tracking Add HKCU/v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0

    Click OK and answer Yes, if you are prompted with a message of crash.

    Click Start, run and enter in the box (copy/paste would be safer) the following text:

    Tracking Add HKLM/v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0

    Click OK and answer Yes, if you are prompted with a message of crash.

    Now that the registry editor has been enabled, you can run the enableit.reg file to troubleshoot issues.

    Depending on the circumstances, your tools can work right away, but go ahead to avoid the question "did you restart your system?" later, and restart your system at the time of trial to be sure things work again.

    Allow the tools in this way only solves the symptom of malware infection, but does not solve the real problem (the system is currently or has been infected by malware) so you're not quite done yet - your system might still be infected.

    Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs can solve any problems.

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

    They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

    You can also delete the enableit.reg file when you are finished.

    Do, or do not. There is no test.

  • TextInput - how to stop the default CTRL-ENTER behavior?

    Hello

    When in a control TextInput, hit CTRL + ENTER on the keyboard, delete all the text in the control.

    I try to use CTRL + ENTER for my own behavior of customers. It works, but it also runs its default remove action.  I tried to do event.preventDefault and event.stopImmediatePropagation on the keyDown event, but that does not prevent the delete action.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    It seems that it is not just what version of the player, but the version you specify when you compile the SWF file.

  • Not created motion tween work after exporting, but works in TEST MOVIE(ctrl+enter)

    I use actionscript3 and adobe flash cs4

    my project consists of several different layers using option of classic motion tween in flash cs4

    my project works very well when I test the movie using Ctrl + Enter

    but after export my animation remains stationary

    If anyone knows how to solve this you do not answer me. It will be very useful for me

    Even it is a simple setting please answer me.

    It is very urgent.

    Thanks in advance

    Do you use an ActionScript at all or is it all the movement right on the timeline?

    If you do not use no matter what AS, then you can try to add a little to force him to play. Just add a new layer at the top. Click on the first image (which must be a keyframe - if she does not has made one) and press F9. This will open your window Actions. In the window type "play();" (without the quotes). Not sure if it will work or not, but it's worth a try!

    If you use AS to make sure that you do not have a stop(); action anywhere that is not controlled.

    Good luck!

  • In Flash CS 3 SWF doesn't work, but in flash IDE ctrl + Enter works!

    Hello

    I created a simple CS 3 use AS 3.0 application, even though Im new in AS 3.0, I feel stronger and more effective than the 2.0. But now, there are a few probs. I have developed a Flash Application that loads a SWF file on a button click, it works very well in the IDE Flash when I press Ctrl + ENTER, but when I run the swf without the IDE, it does not load. Can I know the reason?

    I don't know if the TIME of SCRIPT option in the settings of publication is the reason why, I played with him, when suddenly the flash worked, but then again it forces. Can someone help me?

    Am I missing some parameters? The code is as simple as possible, and it works so there must be a right to settings SWF? Why use the PERIOD of the SCRIPT?

    There was a huge mistake here! My apologies. The player I was using was Flash 8, not 9.

  • When I write editorials and press ENTER, it does not work and I have to press the arrow to go. Also ctrl + enter for auto site full addressdoesn can't work.

    When I write a Web site address and press ENTER, it doesn't fit to the page and I have to press the arrow to go. Also ctrl + enter for the AutoComplete does not work the address of the site. Lately, I noticed this problem in 6 FF. I expect the upgrade to 4 FF will solve this problem, but he persists.

    What you're trying to do with the left and right arrows in Safari? The only time they will do anything is:
