  Calendar under view selection is always grayed out unless you have the open calendar and you view the Calendar tab. You open the calendar under the events and tasks on the calendar. The shortcut is Ctrl + Shift + c.

  You can follow the steps that can help you solve your problem below:

  1. First, you must remove Sidebar.exe in Windows Task Manager.
     
  2. Navigate to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows Sidebarpath.
     
  3. Double-click the file Settings.ini , discover information gadget crashed, delete them.
     
  4. Save the file and restart Windows right click Desktop gadgets then select "Gadgets".

  I have Thunderbird 38.3.0 on a Windows 7 PC. For some reason any today my calendar with all my appointments simply disappeared. When I went to the Add-ons Manager, lightning was missing in my extensions. I didn't remove it myself.

  I tried to reinstall it. After you restart Thunderbird, Lightning was back to the list of extensions (version 4.0.4.1) but I still have no schedule and no toggle button "today Pane.

  That's what I'll try:
  Determine the folder of your profile through the troubleshooting information.

  In the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button , then select help > troubleshooting information > profile folder > open folder.

  Profile opens in Windows Explorer.

  Close Thunderbird.

  Antivirus real-time scanner snoozes.

  Navigate to the subfolder of extensions and search for a folder {e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103}. This is the Lightning extension. Delete this folder, if there is.

  If there is a folder "staged" delete it as well.

  Launch Thunderbird and install again the lightning. For Thunderbird 38.4.0 the corresponding version of lightning is 4.0.4.1.

  If it worked this time, turn anti-virus back on.

• Palm Z22 calendar disappeared

  I have made a backup of my office to my Z22 Pam, added some stuff in my calendar on my desk & then a few hours later, everything, but recurring events have disappeared from my office.  My contacts, tasks, SplashShopper, etc are all very well.

  I tried import route that has been proposed in other posts, but it only added a few elements of each of my categories.  I've seen posts for different products of Pam, but nothing to specifically for this issue w. a Z22.

  You can recover data from your user folder as long as you only Sync once with the PC when you discovered the missing data. When synchronize you with the PC there are files created for each category of PIM in your user folder. For example; datebook.dat or appointment (according to the version of Palm Desktop) and datebook.bak. 6.2 file names are .mdb and mdb.bak. 6.2, the files are in the folder of user name in PalmOSdesktop in my documents.

  Make sure Palm desktop is closed when you rename files.

  The files are named .dat and .bak. When you synchronize, the current data is stored in. dat. The next time that you synchronize the data in the .dat file is copied to the .bak file. You can rename the .dat to .old. then rename the .bak to dat. If the data in the .bak file is intact, it will now be in palm desktop when you reopen Palm desktop. I have included a link to show you how to find the userfolder on the PC.

  The best way to backup your data is to use the export function in Palm Desktop. Create a new folder on the desktop named Palm Desktop Backup data. Then, select the category that you want to export. You will get a window asking you where you want to save the file, save it in the folder created on the desktop. There is a button that allows you to select the record currently selected, or all, select all. If you do not select all, only the highlighted record is exported. You will need to name the file for export then I suggest the name of the category, for example: calendar (with the current date). Do this for all the essential data in each category. With the data exported to the folder on the desktop of the computer, you can save this data to a flash drive, external hard drive or a CD - RW. With this method, you will have your data in a separate place than Palm desktop and the device. If 'Lose you' data again, you can import the data back into palm desktop.

  Make sure that when you make changes in palm desktop or the device to export data to the folder created for the backup.

  If you use Palm desktop 6.2, reported losses of data. This can happen if you let Palm open desktop and PC makes an update, the latches upward or you stop the PC with Palm desktop. With this version, it is better to close if you do not use.

  I suggest you use Palm desktop 4.1.4e. There has not been reported with this version of data loss problems.

  If you can recover your data in the current Palm desktop, sync to the current Z22. We can then 'clean' uninstall Palm desktop and install 4.1.4e.

  Yesterday, I upgraded Windows 10 the latest version 11082.  It seems that Outlook 2016 connectivity to iCloud calendar and contacts face - no warning of this in the many online don't customers encouraging for the upgrade.  The initial problem that you cannot locate the file, so I went through an iCloud uninstall / reinstall that seems to work for the time that I was on my laptop yesterday, prior to the stoppage.  Today - after startup, open Outlook 2016 - no connection with iCloud contacts or calendar.

  Should I uninstall / repair daily?  Is this a new feature of the program for the end user?  Not elegant at all - from a company that sells luxury products.

  Give me the miss how perfectly iCloud worked with Outlook 2010 and Windows 7.

  False alarm, sort of.  The upgrade of Windows 10 Nov/Dec 2015 changes Outlook 2016, so that the link to iCloud calendar is no longer accessible since main/left panel Outlook.  First, you must open the Outlook calendar, and then select Calendar iCloud.

  Data loss you report is being investigated. The problem of data loss can occur when you leave the Palm desktop open during updates of windows, updates of antivirus software, etc.

  What you should do to try to prevent this type of problem occurring must close Palm desktop when not in service. When you make changes in Palm desktop always do a file - save after you're done and then close the program.

  To make sure that does not lose all the data, you can perform the following procedure to back up your data.

  The best way to protect your data is to export the data in each category of Palm Desktop in a separate folder on your PC.

  Create a new folder on your PC somewhere that suits. Name it something like Palm Desktop data. Click on the link below and follow the instructions on this page for the export procedure.

• Why does my calendar disappear? Help! Please, I beg you!

  So here we are again.  When I drag down what to the timeline, it turns black and disappears until I do a file/save.  I am totally perplexed and frustrated.  I thought I solved the problem by buying an ATI RADEON HD4350, but it does the same thing even with the new video card.  I have a processor intel core i5, am running windows 7 and 8 MB of ram.

  Please someone help! I'm about to pay the $39 technical support to see if they can fix it... and I'm not optimistic that they can... UGH!

  Firefox fits pretty well most of the themes of Windows 7, but in some cases, there may be glitches, particularly with the themes "high contrast".

  You are allowing Web sites to specify their colors or their substitution? This is a setting that you can change in the Options.

  Click on the 'Colors' button and make sure that the box is checked for "allow pages to choose their own colors".

  I tried to download and open this file: lightning - 4.7.4 - sm + tb - windows.xpi with Thunderbird several times this afternoon without effect. Just tried again, and it works well - is no longer a problem. Thanks anyway. Maybe this will help someone else. Just keep trying to re - install file.

  Sorry, no it is not "integrated". He is always implemented as an add-on, the only difference being that it is automatically included in a new download of Installer and there is now a checkbox allowing you to decide if it use or not.

  Thus, all the usual tools for adding, removal, activation and deactivation of the modules are still topical.

  Open tools | Add - ons, locate lightning, remove it, restart Thunderbird, go to tools | Modules and reinstall Lightning as if it's an add-on on a regular basis.
