Hello

You must remove the upper and lower registry key filters.
First remove the CD/DVD drive device manager.

Then go to the registry and remove the filter top and bottom of this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

After this reboot of the laptop.

Since the update Windows 10, my CS5 Photoshop created jpg are no longer visible in Windows Explorer (File Manager).  I have reset Photoshop like application default for jpg files, rebooted.  Nothing has changed.  The ideas people?

    Hi R_Kelly,

Hidden folder/file settings was the first place, I checked and kept checking each new reboot.

I have copied below my temporary solution I posted in another forum thread.

See point 7.  I found a way to make it visible again.

    1. I can see all jpg files created before Win10 update AND all the jpgs created by other programs, other than Photoshops after Win 10 update.

2 Photoshop cannot see the newly created Photoshop created jpg files in the file picker at all since Upgrade to Win 10.  I've never had a problem of invisibility of file before winning 10 update.  My hidden files were always checked to be visible.  However, Photoshop can open if listed files in a basic text file search in Windows Explorer in the path of the file "recently used".

    3. the files are not visible or clickable at all in Windows Explorer tree or the Photoshop file selector. They become open and visible when listed in a basic text file search in Windows Explorer in the path of the file "recently used".

4 Microsoft Office applications can't see the new Photoshop created Jpg files in file, only pre Win 10 update pickers jpg created by other applications and versions.

    5. the problem occurs only with Photoshop jpg created after the Win 10 update.

    6. I checked the settings "Show hidden files, folders and files of the operating system", and they remain as they were, which allows all the hidden to visible objects.  I kept the visibility settings files in this way since the early 1990s.

    Temporary fix below *.

    7. I did yet another simple search of the text Windows Explorer, he finds invisible jpg files less all links 'recently used' who were there yesterday (2nd day after I created the files), I checked the location of file properties file and it entered the original file I saved their.  Using a right-click of the mouse on the file to bring up the menu actions and file properties, I was able to copy and then paste the file into another directory.  I jumped on the directories to see if it remains visible and he (Yes). The new copy is now visible to the pickers of file in Photoshop and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Hard drive is no longer visible to windows 7 ultimate x 64

    Hi all
I'm a MSDN. I have a number of virtual machines that I work on.

Last night, I had two running virtual machines and failure at the same time.  They go on my F drive.

Restarting the PC drive F is not visible to windows. I'm guessing that there is some sort of failure on the drive.

I was looking around and found advice like going to disk management and rescan etc. No luck so far.

I tried to switch the machine on in the BIOS, but in the bios ASUS, I do not see the mentioned drives.

Can someone point me to a good article on how to diagnose the drive suddenly disappear like that with a failure suspected of some sort?

This must happen a lot. I'm surprised that I wasn't able to find a good article detailed on google.

I hope it isn't a catastrophic disk failure.

Please accept my thanks in advance for any help you can be in this case.

  • Computer infected with the virus. USB drives no longer appear in Windows Explorer.

    Original title: attack viruses, help...

My friend has a computer that is running windows XP. She asked for help on what to do when several virus has infected his computer.

I tried my best, but the virus has turned off. The Task Manager, msconfig are impossible to perform. the computer had a virus which is the reason why it continues to be infected. The last scan I made from a usb key which has been infected to leave the computer has revealed five different viruses and worms, each of them spread through usb drives. It's the worst case of infection, I had ever seen.  I tried to scan with the scanner but it did not work. The computer crashed, and when I turned it on things have become much worse. USB drives no longer appear in the Explorer, the computer reads no more and the old xp theme has disappeared, his running today on classic. Help me please.

    Please follow the steps below:

On a friend or a member of the family computer, download the files installation and update Malwarebytes from the links below, copy them to a CD or a flash drive, then transfer the files on the problem machine and use them. If you cannot start the computer in 'normal' windows, try to install, update and running AFTER the computer scans are started in Mode safe... I use the sites below to download the installation file and the manual update:

Once downloaded and before moving the machine to the problem, rename the Setup file "mbam - setup.exe" to something like "Gogetum.exe", and then copy the installation file and the update on a CD or a flash drive file... Transfer the file to the problem machine, install the "Gogetum.exe" file, and then run the update for the current program... After that, run a full system scan and delete everything it finds.

Install Malwarebytes-download link (by clicking the links below will immediately start the download dialog window.)

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free>

Then download the SuperAntispyware program and the manual update of the links below. After you run the Malwarebytes tool that above, if you still cannot download and install directly from the problem machine, download it to a friend or a family member computer as well. After installation and update SuperAntispyware, run a full system scan and delete everything it finds as well. As before, you may need to rename the Setup file for the Setup program. :

  • PX1393E drive external HARD not visible in windows Explorer

    Hello world

I just bought an external DRIVE for my Toshiba laptop no disc PX1393E. I know that its old and he still has windows 2000 SP4 on it.

Now my problem is that my laptop does not recognize the external HARD drive. The Add New Hardware Wizard works fine, but I don't see the new drive in windows Explorer.

I looked in the FAQ of the guide. Here, I tried to go into the options of storage since rigt - click my computer in the management options. But I still don't see the drive.

Now, I wanted to see if I could find some update of the driver or something, but man you can't find on this site.

    Anyone?

    TIA

Explorer displays as well as the used space on the CLip + is 238 MB. However, all the files look empty! I can't find any single file of the music to the player. Can someone tell me how I can find these music files?

The music of the sample appears only when the player is in MTP mode.  Files placed in a mode can not be seen in the other in windows Explorer. If you love music, you can make a backup of it.  It cannot be downloaded if it is accidentally deleted...

  • Disk hard online, but not visible in Windows Explorer

Hi guys, I need a little help.

Today, I installed an old 80 GB Maxtor Diamondmax 10 PATA hard drive on my other PC, a Dell Inspiron 530, as a second HDD. I had to order new parts to connect actually upward from the power supply and motherboard SATA and IDE connections are not, but all those who are working very well.

My problem is that this Maxtor drive does not appear in Windows Explorer. BIOS, see Device Manager it disk management he sees (and even said it's online). Just not Windows Explorer.

In disk management, it is not a drive letter assigned to it, and when I right click on the disk partitions, anything but 'Delete the Volume' and 'Help' are grayed out. (Screenshot here: http://i39.tinypic.com/2ujpbeo.png)

I'm a bit stumped, it's almost like I can't use the drive at all. Any ideas?

Here's some more information about the system:

OS: Windows Vista editions Home Premium (Build 6002, Service Pack 2)

    BIOS: Phoenix AwardBIOS review 1.0.18

    Motherboard: Foxconn G33M02

    CPU: Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2140 1.6gHz

    Memory: 3072 MB DDR2 SDRAM

First HARD drive: 250 GB Hitachi SATA sister

HARD drive secondary: 80 GB Maxtor Diamondmax 10 PATA (with jumper set to "Master DS")

    GPU: ASUS EAH4670

And I should add, just in case... This is PATA to SATA card, I use the drive: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320759737706?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT & _trksid = p3984.m1439.l2649

And I just use a SATA to Molex cable I found to convert the power.

    Thank you

    Hello

Thanks for this info. I looked more into filesystems and it turns out that the disc was either FAT or NTFS - it was EXT2 which is a Linux file system. I found this by starting Ubuntu that supports multiple file systems.

I didn't format it had data on personal, but I found an EXT2 driver and can now browse the Windows hard disk.

Use DevManView to locate the CD/DVD in the registry (be careful and do a prior Restore Point)
nothing change) - find the DevManView device and then make a right click on it free in RegEdit.

DevManView - free - an alternative to the standard Windows Device Manager, which displays
all devices and their properties in flat table, instead of the tree viewer
