My child allows to bypass the parental control

My child to bypass the parental control on his Macbook Air using the method presented in this video tutorial. Is there a way to avoid this? https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=Br6wKR28jFo

With the text of the video section, the way used by the author to exploit the single user Mode

to try to deter the child since the creation of their own Admin account to bypass the controls that

This could also be overcome by a particular person looking to exploit a work around physical access.

In the past, some computer models were easier to open and to perform tasks that could derail this method.

Almost any iFixit or removable guide could be useful for a particular child or student, as a work-around.

See suggestions on how to apply the Firmware password, as well as the means to

block access to the material or the way to reset the admin by OS X Recovery password, in news

OS X versions that use this partition and its utilities. It is part of the problem with the Admin

operation, the user is physical access to the computer. And why remotely hacking is very difficult.

  • need to know how to block the ophcrack from running, my child uses this to get my password and in the parental controls in vista

you want to know how to block the ophcrack from running, my child uses this to get my password and in the parental controls in vista. I have 3 accounts going 2 for children and one for the parents/administrator. I found ophcrack in several places on the computer. any help would be greatly appreciated

The only question the idea of Malkeleah, that is when you put a password on BIOS, all you need to do is pop the battery from the motherboard and the password is gone. Faronics has in some programs such as anti-executable and a few other programs that may block the name or ID of a process and prevent it from running (some antiviruses have that option, such as Avast, but usually is a pain in the ass to configure)

  • How do I whitelist a specific application in the parental control?

I have implemented the game Restrictions for two kids (9 & 13) based on the ESRB game ratings. I want to filter so that my child of 9 years old can play: E10 + and my 13 year old can play T.

There's a game I've played that my children would like to play as well, but the game has a higher rating due to some cartoonish violence. (In this case, you play a shark that can eat divers and swimmers).

Is there a way for me to retain the Restriction of game based on the side, but allow/whitelist this specific app?

    Hi Novac,

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Communities.

I'm sorry to know that you have problems, which allows an application in parental control.  Let me try and help you with this question.

What operating system do you use?

You can follow this thread and see the advice given by "Trung Nguyen N" to allow apps/games you want in the game restrictions section.

  • Help for the parental control on Vista administrator account

Computer of my son is running Vista and I set parental controls in place through the administrator account, there a nonadministrator account.

I changed the password after that we had a few problems with the controls, and now I want to change the settings again. However, the old password allows for parental control (IE, he allows his account access websites and bypass control, etc.), but when I try to access the administrator account, it says the old password does not work. When I enter the password, account says I don't have the login procedure and kicks back me to the main screen of Vista (where I take which account to enter).

So, I'm stuck administering the account due to a conflict in the parental control passwords. If I try to reset the password, the computer ask me a USB stick with the old password on it information. It is a step that I did not.

Any way to disable the administrator account? Or somehow remove/reset the parental control account access restrictions that I am experiencing?

"when I enter the parental control in the non-administrative account, the system simply ignores the password that I entered"

I suggest you read this info below on who has access to parental controls and how it works:

  • Download e-mail files attached despite the parental control

I have Microsoft parental control set up on my computer of children. I tried to send an attachment through facebook and hotmail. Family safety has blocked them to download the attachment I sent. I looked in the family safety settings and can not find a place to allow downloading of attachments. Any ideas?

    Hi Sam,

Thanks for posting the request in Microsoft Community Forums.

1 have you blocked any of these sites in the parental control settings? If this is not the case, what happens when you try to download these attachments?

    2. What is the full/exact error message?

You do not allow downloading attachments in particular, but you can allow Web sites. This problem can also occur if the antivirus program blocks downloads.

I suggest you follow these steps to make sure that you have not blocked any of these specific sites or if you do not find in the blocked category, you can add this Web site to the authorized category and check the results.

    1. On any computer, go to the Family Safety website, and then sign in with the account of a parent's Microsoft.
    2. Under the name of the child you want to set the web content filtering, click on change settings.

    3. Click Web filtering lists.

    4. Type or paste the web address of the site on which you want to allow or block in the http:// text box and click on allow or block.

You can use the drop-down list next to the text http:// box to allow or block a website for only the current child or several children or family members.

If the problem persists, try to update the family safety filter settings to see if that helps.

  • How can I get the parental control?

I want to set up parental controls, but when I go into my control panel find the sound icon is not there and I went looking and looking but nothing came.

Windows XP is not the Parental control.  This feature has been added in Windows Vista.

XP can use Internet Explorer Content Advisor and allows to control the time that users can connect to.

  • Issues related to the parental control EA6900

I have my setup of parental control to block access from 22:00 to 09:00 however, it does not automatically access when the time changes to time 'unlocked '. Curiously, it still shows the message 'parental control block. I have to disable the parental control to allow access to devices after 9:00 and then it must reactivate at 22:00 to block access again.

I've also updated the latest firmware (1.1.42.161129). It does not seem to be 2 versions (V1.0 or V1.1), however, these two seem to be the same file. I used the correct version for my router (V1.0).

I want to stay with what you have for now and look to see if it works on some devices. Check that the clock on the router is configured correctly. See also if certain sites are blocked and others not. I think there's a bug where some sites using https:// is not to be blocked but http:// did. It worked correctly before the upgrade? Remember you of what was the old version? The cancellation is made by the interface of the router and there is a button to restore but still, if restore you an unwanted version which isn't good either. Better do small things first.

  • Error message when you use the parental controls in Win7: "Unable to change parental controls."

    (1) I try to use the supplied with Windows 7 parent controls. However, every time I make a change to a parental control, I get an error message that says: "cannot change parental controls. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator. »

Often, once I have clear error message boxes, the changes I made are displayed as changed. Sometimes, however, they are not applied, making these useless parental controls.

    (2) I also have problems establishing parental control measures for one of my children. Whenever I try to open the parental controls for a user account, I get the same message, as described above, then the display returns to my administrator account and does not allow me to add parental controls or change them.

    (3) when he signed then, a message in the lower right corner indicates that it uses a 'temporary' account and that any changes he made will be saved. What is a temporary account, how it is created, and how it can be changed to a normal account?

    Hi Papa_Danno,

Thank you for keeping us posted.

If windows was pre installed on the computer, then you must contact the Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the same. If the Windows 7 installation disc was purchased directly from then you can contact Microsoft directly.

I wish that you follow the steps in the article-

Installation and reinstallation of Windows 7

Note: Make sure that you back up all data on the computer before you perform a Clean Installation to avoid any data loss.

    Hope this helps!

  • Siri is disabled by the Parental control on macOS Sierra admin account

I just installed macOS Sierra today on my 13 "Mac Book Pro (early 2011). I have only one user account that is an administrator account. Siri is not enabled on my machine. When I go to the Siri system preferences screen, it says that "Siri is disabled by Parental control. Hmmm, when I check the Parental control screen, it says "you logged in using an administrator account." You can only apply parental controls to accounts that are not administrator accounts. »

    What happens here?

Same problem here. Updated for Sierra of El Capitan on MacBookPro 15 "(mid - 2014).

Even if I toggle the checkbox on the Parental control > others > disable Siri & dictation I can't activate Siri, the checkox is always gray and the alert says "Siri is disabled by Parental control.

Siri is enabled if I login as a burst, but I need it on my Admin account of course. Very annoying.

  • How do you define the parental control on firefox android? If it does not, it will be?

  • Unable to connect to the parental control with existing Microsoft Account

I can't connect to Windows Live Family Safety with my existing Microsoft Account.

I enter the e-mail address and password and click the Sign In button, and then get an error message saying "the e-mail address or the password is incorrect."

The e-mail and password are correct, then why can't connect? I used to be able to connect to OK.

    1. This happens on two different Windows 7 laptops. I rebooted, cleared history, etc., and this did not help.
    2. I checked the e-mail address and the password several times (case is correct, that shift caps lock is not on, etc.).
    3. My address e-mail/Microsoft account is not an address Outlook.com, Live.com or Hotmail.com - it's my own domain, something like<*** email="" address="" is="" removed="" for="" privacy="" ***="">
    4. The Microsoft Account works for all other applications and web sites on my computer Windows 7 mobile, phone Nokia Lumia 920, Lenovo ThinkPad 2 compressed (Win8).
    5. This Microsoft Account <*** email="" address="" is="" removed="" for="" privacy="" ***="">works very well for Office 365 Home Premium.

    Thank you

    And the solution is...

Disable the verification of two steps in the security settings for information on live.com.

The parental control client cannot authenticate because he cannot ask the authenticator application code. Can't Movie Maker or one of the other applications of Windows Essentials .

Awareness in two steps of authentication must be added to the Windows Essentials applications.
