  • This computer can't connect to a homegroup

Tried to start a group home on my computer, but it failed to halfway through (maybe because the two networks present - Wireles and Ethernet). Now I can not remove the homegroup (partial) and when I go in the homegroup in Control Panel, I get "this computer Can t Connect to a Homegroup" and "residential group is not ready yet. Please try again in a few minutes... "I think only a few days and an excessive number of swear words is enough time to regroup. I think I need to get rid of the group home part-time to start from scratch.

I'm on W7 Ultimate and the Group House based on the ethernet network. (I disabled the WiFi card).

All ideas before computer (or I go out of the window).

    Hi Tom,

If you see a home group existing, then delete the home group and create a new.

  • I can not connect to firefox sync, the window does not

I just do a fresh install of Linux Mint cinnamon 14 that comes with Firefox 17.0.1. When I try to set up sync, I can't go past the screen 'Pair device', even if the other device confirms that the code is correct. If I click on 'I don't have the camera with me', I am able to get into my account and password recovery key, but when I click on the 'next' button, nothing happens.

I started Firefox in a terminal using 'firefox Pei' and created a new profile. This solves the problem.

  • This computer can't connect to the remote computer. ONLY 2 people it out 200 users...? baffeled by WindowsXPe Thin Client RDP connection

Here's the situation.  We have 2 TS servers running WIN2K3 and 200 users with Thin Clients.  We'll call it the first server A and b of a second.

They normally connect to an IP address and they will be directed to the server A or B according to the load.

However; users can still select the specific TS server, they want to connect to.

If user 1 and user 2 cannot connect to Server B.  They get the error listed above in the title.  However the user 1 and 2 can connect to A server.  If they say:

192.168.123.2 the two of them get

192.168.123.3 the two of them cannot get.

I deleted the user de.3 A profile and it still can't get.  I have checked no orphan key inHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEMicrosoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

I checked the settings in TSCC. MSC, I' checked worm Licensing by user and they are good, I gave them full administrator privileges and still not pass via the serveur.3, they adhere to all groups within the ORGANIZATIONAL unit that they can connect to TS, they were able to connect to her very well this back on Wednesday.  It is not a firewall issue and port 3389 has been verified in the case otherwise he would not just these two on each CT they try.

    Again, they can get utilisant.2.

In the event de.3 Viewer I can see users connected CORRECTLY but then it pop their right.  There is no other error message when connecting, just the success Message in the security log.

Let's bounce servers tonight so I'll have to turn it back on and I pray that they can later log on this server, but I'm baffeled.  Why only 2 people would receive this question and most (not sure how many others there may be, but I know 30 people connected today on this server and worked out of it) people are not getting an error.

The thin client on their desktop is not the issue, because the error follows them any CLIENT LÉGER, they are connecting from.

Short of this re-boot and short to delete accounts and recreate them, ideas?

Found the problem.  I did not remove the key to all the indicated previously.  I should have done that for this user since her CentralProfile Key was empty when she had to be filled in by the system.  Removed his Key specific SID for listed above point and viola.  User can connect.

  • I can ONLY connect to the internet with IE7 and Outlook Express

I have Win XP SP3, home wired network, Netgear router, cable internet, Lenovo desktop.
I can run IE 7 and Outlook Express and connect to the internet very well with these.  However, I can not connect using FireFox.  Windows Update returns an error and does NOT connect to scan my computer and display the necessary updates.  I just installed tax program this year HR CD block and it is unable to connect to internet to download the updates.  I used IE7 to go to the web site of the tax program to download the update manually, but it doesn't connect either.  I also can't complete installation OF Adobe (Digital Editions) program because it must connect to the internet in order to make a registration.

I have disabled the Windows Firewall, do not have a configured proxy.  So, I can browse the internet with IE7 and get email with Outlook express.  I went on the site from Google Chrome to try to download it and install it that (using IE7 of course), but after I press the "Download" button, IE7 says that it cannot connect to perform the download.

I scanned this forum and not seen similar symptoms that would allow me to reach a solution.  Everyone knows about this issue and how to resolve?

P.S. I have two other laptops Win XP which CAN completely connect to internet with IE and Firefox via the same router and the modem cable.

I tried trojan remover and none of the things in the menu utils found any problems.

But it turns out that my problem was a hidden/partial copy of Symantec Client Firewall that I thought was deleted.  Over the months some programs had been updated and Symantec didn't know about them, so it was blocking their access: FROM Adobe, HR Block, IE8, Firefox, etc.  Given that I have not seen it listed in the start menu and it was not listed in Add/Remove Programs, I didn't have to try to remove it.  And it was not poping up to tell me of a new program attempts to access the Internet.

I used the Symantec tool to remove all THE stuff of Symantec and it cleared up my connection problems.  I then reinstalled Symantec Client Security (antivirus and firewall) and turned off the Windows Firewall.

  • Get the error message 'block Site Blacklist"Firefox can't connect!

I can't connect to sites like Bank of Ireland, which I always logged in with Firefox before. No connection doesn't work and I get a pop-up that is not identified as Mozilla or Firefox, and does not seem "fair".

I'll change my contextual framework and reinstall Firefox. It's weird. Firefox has always been reliable for me, I wonder if Mozilla/Firefox has been hacked.

    You can attach a screenshot?

    • Use a type of compressed as PNG or JPG image to save the screenshot
    • Make sure you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB

Start the computer in Mode safe mode with network support Windows (on the startup screen, press F8) to see if that helps.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
  • You use Firefox I can't connect in my forum. I have entered good username and password, but I am just represented with login. Works on IE8 or Crome and used to work on Firefox

I use Windows 7, but also, this happened in my a/c Admin on Vista but was Ok on the regular user on the same computer account. Now I can't connect to my forum Admin or other a/c using Firefox 3.6.12

Such behavior can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked by Firefox or an extension or blocked by security software (firewall).

Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

    • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.
    • 'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems: Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

If clearing cookies doesn't help, then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the profile folder in the cookies.sqlite case has been corrupted.

If this does not help then make sure that your firewall is not blocking cookies.

  • "iPhone is disabled, connect to iTunes" AND "iTunes can not connect to the iPhone because it is locked with a password" error message on the phone and the computer! Help!

So I recently had my password wrong too many times and my iPhone 4S locked out telling me "iPhone is disabled; Connect to iTunes'. And so I connected to iTunes and decided to restore my phone. I finished the process of restoration of the configuration of my phone, but ultimately, it was not even let me in the phone! Once AGAIN he said "iPhone is disabled; " Connect " to iTunes '. However, this time, this message appeared just when I turned on my phone with a black background. I didn't scan the screen for the error message is displayed (and there was no time to be shown). When I tried to connect to iTunes again as he asked, now it says "iTunes can not connect to the iPhone because it is locked with a password".

So now, he said "iPhone is disabled; ' Connect to iTunes' on my iPhone 4S and ''iTunes can't connect to the iPhone because it is locked with a password ' on my computer. WHAT should I do?

As described in step 2 of "Erase your device with iTunes" in this article, you will need to use the Recovery Mode.

Recovery mode is described in this article as well.  You may try to go into recovery mode more than once to succeed.

  • Why I can not connect on the accounts of Firefox to put in place the synchronization? FF30 + keeps telling me how please enable cookies; cookies ARE enabled, already tried Safe Mode.

Exactly what it says on the Tin.

Why can't I connect to Firefox accounts to set up sync to my laptop? FF30 + keeps telling me how please enable cookies; cookies ARE enabled, and I already tried Safe Mode. This has happened since the new Sync has been set up, so I think that nearly 30 FF. I'm now up to 34 FF version and it still does not work. I was not able to sync from the "update".

Problem #1: Going to about: accounts and clicking the Get Started button Blue opens a blank screen. It's not even a prompt on the cookies. It's just empty. Screen attached.
It comes from before the modules are disabled. If they are disabled in Mode safe, we go to the #2 problem.

#2 problem: I've skimmed a thread (https://github.com/mozilla/fxa-content-server/issues/1017) and I tried connecting to sync through accounts.mozilla.com instead, but if the screen does not turn white while the modules are always enabled, "Enable cookies" warning are as far as I can get. Go to about: accounts in Mode safe mode gives the same result. I deleted all my cookies and my cache, FF restarted several times with and without active modules and still nothing. I browsed this forum of support for similar issues, and while other people have the same problem, no other threads have been solved yet. Several later versions of FF, it is far too long for this question still unresolved... Screen attached.

I know where the Firefox Cookie Manager, and I have enabled all settings. I was even able to third party cookies (even though I shouldn't really because they are unnecessary). No difference. Screen attached.

I looked into: config and looked up the word 'cookie' in names, but even this is useless to me since I am not a programmer and so ignorant of what mean really all of these parameters. Screen attached.

I'm at the end of my rope here, guys. It has been for months. A year. Maybe more than a year. I don't even remember. I just got a new camera and I don't want to add all my Firefox information one by one. It doesn't seem to be a way to contact Mozilla directly, so... Someone help please...
