  I have Windows Vista Ultimate installed (by default) in my laptop. As you know, Vista comes with a lot of errors and a huge amount of compatibility issues. But I am not able to find any BIOS drivers and devices on the laptop, so I can't install XP in another partition (my drivers are supplied with a "restore CD" which installs Windows Vista as well).

  First of all, I would like to make it clear: I do not work for any hardware vendor or software. Your printer/scanner worked perfectly for a few years or even decades, and now it won't do nothing or very little about due to a new operating system.

  Microsoft, Apple will never say "WARNING: using this new product, your existing hardware may NOT work at all. They say that their new product blah blah will... They promise everything and then put all the misfortune, blame for hardware vendors.

  I believe that the development of new products is a lot cheaper than the technical support of the former products and each product must have a life cycle and must die loudly or quietly operating systems will kill our faster hardware.
