When I first installed Vista, my machine has recognized my PCI-E graphics card. Upon restart, the sign says I have a standard VGA adapter with 14 MB of RAM, and graphics card is not recognized.
The sound card has never been recognized.
Hello

and the VIEW - SHOW HIDDEN DEVICES - to see you now sound card?

I think you didn't use the right card driver
The sound chip comes from Realtek and you need to reinstall the Realtek audio driver for the audio.

Hello
Check their documentation online with the HP Support and drivers, diagnostics and ask to their
Forums about known problems. If it's the USB adapter, it can be removed/disabled in BIOSand/or Device Manager and a used external is not that expensive.

Portege R700 - Autocad 2011 does not recognize the graphics card
Hello
I have toshiba Portege R700 with 64-bit win 7 installed.
I need the computer for use with autocad 2011.For some reason any auocad does not recognize the graphics card installed on the computer.
I suspect it because very little memory is allocated for the graphics card. How can I change with the memory allocated for the graphics card, or perhaps, can someone show me where can I find a driver that supports autocad.
Thank you very much!
Hello
What Portege R700-xxx you have exactly?
As far as I know the graphics memory cannot be assigned manually.
Everything is controlled by the graphics driver and you have no influence on thisYou can try updating the graphics card driver maybe it would help.
The most recent driver found on the page of the European driver Toshiba
If not, you should check the manufacturer of the graphics chip driverGood luck

Satellite L655 sometimes does not recognize the wireless card
I have a L655. Most of the time it works perfectly fine. Sometimes when I turn on my computer, it does not recognize my wireless card. He considers that it is not at all.
The icon in the status bar says that there is no cable ethernet plugged in and nothing on the wireless.
Usually this icon is not present, and one for the wireless is (whether it is connected or not and if there are connections available or not). In the device manager there is nothing for the wireless card.Under network card it has only ethernet. Its as if it does not exist.
Basically the way to solve this problem is by restarting simply my computer until he figures it.
Sometimes, it can take 5 or more times.Any help please?
Hello
What satellite L655-xxx you have exactly?
As far as I know there are different models with different wireless network cards.Your BIOS is up to date? Please check this box.
So now to a few proposals of solution:
First of all that I recommend to check if the update of the Wlan driver would improve the Wlan functionality.
In addition, you must deactivate the energy saving feature for Wlan in Device Manager and Windows 7 power options as well. -
My computer does not recognize my flash drive at all
In the past I was able to plug my USB key and use it (make changes, and save the information), now when I insert it, nothing happens. The screen displays just the desktop. The computer does not recognize it. I tried another drive flash with information on this subject, once again, nothing happened. I need help how to fix this problem. Thank you.
Sounds like your AutoPlay settings need to be adjusted.
Something to try...
Insert the flash drive into a USB port and go... Start / my computer...
The flash player should be recognized by a drive letter...
Right-click on the drive letter and go... Properties / AutoPlay tab...
Left click on the button "Restore default settings" / apply / OK.Now... Remove and re - insert the flash drive and see if there is an improvement.
And... the following Wizard may be worth a try:

My computer does not recognize that I have two monitors connected.
I have a VGA splitter cable, but even after I used the cord to connect two cords vga to a port, the computer is only noted one of the monitors. So when I go into settings to try to get them to display both, or to identify, the computer notice only a single monitor. So the problem is that my computer does not recognize that there are two put monitors in place.
Cable splitter separates the single signal only. The computer only sees it as an output. You would need a different video card use the two forms as separate monitors instead of simply split the signal.
