  Currently under Vista Home Premium with all updates and others on a Compaq Presario desktop computer.  Every morning, I check the Evfent Viewer for problems on the day the day.  Each time, I find hundreds of entries related to "gusvc" and now the entries start to appear regarding "HHCTRL."  The only Google product I have is Google Earth - and I have installed and re-installed many times to try and clear this event.

  "Gusvc" seems to be a service that will start - again - then stop immediately; only to be restarted a minute later.  I can't find any information as to what "updates" well.  At one point, I removed every bit of Google software on the computer, but I've always had this service start/stop stuttering in the background.  Anyone know what it is - and how to stop it?

  Regarding the "HHCTRL", I see it is linked to a kind of vulnerability HTML, but an update of MS is supposed to be linked to it.  The only info I can find says that the solution is "not for your version of Windows", until he to do about it?

  It is not possible to disable the license from one computer crashed or possible to check which serial number has been used on computer because they are encrypted.

  A retail license is good to be installed on 2 machines. I checked your account and found 4 different serial numbers of Acrobat registered for your account.

  It is always suggested to buy a volume license, if you have more than 2 machines instead of buy 4 different serial numbers.

  I checked all the serial numbers entered and you have sufficient activation count remaining to cover all your machines.

  I tried to back up my files using an external hard drive (which I have done before with Windows 7 64-bit), but recently I get the same error code. I have re-formatted external hard drive, run diagnostics on it, restarted the computer, etc and nothing seems to work. I also tried both options posted in another forum with the same error and too, they were not successful (external is already NTFS and now that it has been re-formatted is completely empty). • Impossible to start and open the event viewer.

  I have Windows Vista (SP1) currently and am having some problems with the event viewer.

  Whenever I try to run the observer of events, either through the program or the elevated command prompt, MMC pushes me to get approval to open.

  Once opened, an error message appears indicating "MMC cannot initialize the snap-in" with the only option to hit being 'Okay '.
  I love the event viewer in order to keep track of my system and wonder if there is any means possible to get this corrected and resolved.

  And the list continues to become more mistakes as the months go bye.  Usually after 3 monts, my PC slows to a crawl, and I have to reinstall Windows & Ultimate!

  Now, while I was with PC Cleaner Pro, I allowed a representative to take control of my PC to help set, and he went into the event viewer and showed me the error 1007 in

  Errors and warnings in the event logs are not usually a sign of a major problem.

  Unfortunately, there are many technical support providers who refer clients to the event log in order to convince them to pay for questionable services.

  Use of cleaners and Tune up utilities is not recommended. They can often cause problems.

  Ensure that all remote access program is deleted from your computer.

  Use a search engine to find information on all the events that occur frequently, specifying the event id and source, for example search for "eventid 512 capi2. • I built a new system. Transferred to the hard drive and video card, but everything else is new. Restart Windows as it begins to start. I can get into safe mode and found event id 7026 and event id 7001 in the event viewer.

  As mentioned above, this is a new system, but with a more older IDE hard drive with windows xp pack 2 service (I think). When you first start, it says that windows is not stopped correctly and asks me to choose whether to start it normally or without failure or last known working configuration. When I choose to start windows normally, it will load up to a point. The screen of Windows Xp will come with the slide bar. It will then restart. When I choose to start in safe mode, a bunch of 32 file system scrolls upwards on the screen. I don't remember if it of normal or not. He takes over in SafeMode but. I went to the event viewer and got the following errors.

  I did find something online that contains all the system boot or start specific drivers. Windows and harddrive was working in another computer just before he was switched. Let me know if you need other information.

  First of all you are missing probably a number of device drivers, particularly the network card driver and the driver of the motherboard.  Use your XP disk to perform a repair installation.  This should go a long way toward you're going to get.  If your new box has a driver disc that should help a lot.  You can't port XP perfectly the way you did.   It usually requires a repair installation to fix the hardware abstraction layer.   Get corrupted - it happens.  Jump drives die all the time.  You might be able to reformat (erase) and get more life out of it, or you can get a new USB, install again and use it until it is damaged again.

  Average life of a disk is 5.2 years, but just like people, many drive die younger and many die older. You never know what will be yours.
