My computer is starting & stopping down in safe mode... What can I do to fix it?

My operating system is windows xp sp2... It is protected with bitdefender internet security 2011.but all of a sudden when I shut down my computer that he would shut down in safe mode... & then it starts and close in safety mode.what do I do to take back to the normal mode?

Try raising 'msconfig' (start-> Run-> "msconfig").
Once msconfig is running, click on the tab "Boot.ini" and check that the "/ SAFEBOOT" box is not checked.

Check that your laptop is overheating or not.

To do this use HWMonitor (free and recommended).

If it detects overheating, consult this guide.

It is slow just go online and it is slow, once you get there, takes forever.

    Hello
Virus check is a good point. However, this problem is more due to system programs high load. There is a utility that you can use called tune-up desactiveur program used to detect system loading programs OR you can uninstall unnecessary programs from "Add or Remove Programs.
In addition, this problem could be caused by more than 3 or 4 programs to auto-start automatically at this point, you can open msconfig.exe to disable startup items automatically (they are called startup items)
There an expection more for this problem to occur, if your Windows is running too many services, you can always disable Msconfig.exe (System Configuration utility).
Method 1: Disable programs using tune up
    (1) open tune-up utilities
    2) go to the tab named 'Optimizing System '.
    3) click on "Disable programs" under "reduce the load of the system.
    (4) where a new window should appear and you will be able to see the programs causing system load, you can have some programs that are required by the system. Those may be anti-virus or programs of the system operation. You can not disable it, but you can uninstall from "Add / Remove Programs". If you want to disable a program, that you can click on its status, then it will automatically 'disable' then 'off '.
Method 2: Uninstall programs using the "Add or Remove Programs".
    1) click on the ORB 'Start '.
    (2) open the "Control Panel".
    (3) select "Add or Remove Programs".
    (4) to select the program you want to remove and click ' Change/Remove '.
Method 3: Use MSconfig.exe to configure your system
    1) click on the ORB 'Start '.
    (2) select "Run."... »
    (3) type: "MSConfig.exe".
    (4) select the tab "Startup" from top
    (5) deselect items that aren't important and click OK. You can also disable Services', just go to the 'Services' tab and uncheck the services that you do not want. BUT be CAREFUL: Some services if disabled may cause the system to not work properly. It is therefore recommended that you check the box "hide all Microsoft Services", before clearing the check for specified services.
Method 4: Use HiJackThis to find spyware on your computer
-> Application HiJackThis is software from TrendMicro that allows you to scan your system for the file commonly manipulated by malware settings but also good software. So by doing a system scan, does not check just like the good and bad programs play a role
    (1) open "HiJackThis" from TrendMicro
    (2) select "do a system scan only".
    (3) wait for the progress bar to load then uncheck the file settings you do NOT recognize and select "Fix checked" button at the bottom.

I hope this helps you to overcome your problem, please :)

I followed these instructions to start Windows 7 in safe mode:

I tried to start windows vista in safe mode by using the following:

    1. Click on the Windows icon in the left bottom of the screen while Windows is running in normal mode.
    2. Click on the arrow located to the right of the lock at the bottom of the popup menu symbol
    3. Choose "restart".
    4. I restart the computer, press the F8 key and hold.  I tried at the beginning of the sequence to reboot and after that the light appears on the mouse, but still before the windows logo appears.
    5. Restart the computer in normal mode.
    6. I tried the key down and also tried pressing the F8 key several times both giving the same results without success.
    7. To eliminate the possibility of a bad keyboard, I switched from keyboards with the same results.

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

    You tap f8.

You can have a F-Lock key in the upper right corner of your keyboard.

  • Computer laptop XP only works in safe mode

Until a few days ago, my laptop worked fine.  With the help of XP Professional.

Now I start up, the Windows screen, then it shows a white screen.  I then turn off via the power switch.

I can however boot in safe mode, but can't do much with it because almost nothing works, for example internet, backup disks.

    Hello

    1. what changes have been made to your computer before the problem?
    2. do you get an error message/code?
Follow the steps mentioned below and check if that helps.
    Step 1:
Disconnect non-essential external devices and try to start.

    Step 2:

Try last good known Configuration from the advanced boot options.

    Step 1:

If this does not help, because it works fine in safe mode, I would put your computer in a clean boot State in order to determine if the problem is related to a software conflict of third parties. Clean boot helps eliminate conflicts of third party software.

Note: Don't forget to restart your computer as usual.

If the HP recovery process does not work, it seems to be a hardware problem.

And now that you mention have a blue screen.

If it was a software problem, the process of HP recovery to reinstall the operating system should fix (take it back in new condition).

And this new condition would exclude any incorrect hardware drivers may have installed the original problem.

    Have you tried HP support?

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/contact-HP/contact.html

    Or assistance HP Forums:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/

    See you soon.

    Edit:

HP recovery process, you get the possibility of a destructive or non-destructive restore. If you use non-destructive recovery option, often have the same problems continue.

The problem continues when you use destructive recovery too.
