  I currently plan to upgrade my laptop HP 2000 4 GB ram 8 GB, I have a few questions that I need help.

  1. as my computer already has 4 GB ram ADI need to replace 4 GB of ram with a stick of ram 8 GB or can I buy another stick of 4 GB of ram and use it in the other location?

  2. for a few hours now, I searched for the right stick of ram for my model. This model is 2000-2d63TU.

  However, it turned out to be unsuccessful.  Is there anywhere I can look for the ram for my PC and if so I would like a link.

  3. my computer is an older model HP notebook I bought it 2 years ago now, I'm still able to upgrade or not?

  Hello, 1) you can add another 4 GB stick in the slot available without problem. (2) can you tell me the model number of your RAM? I will gladly send a link when I find a product. (3) to answer this one, I have recently updated since 2005 xp machine and my hdx16 hp 2008 with more RAM and they both went well. I hope this helps

  Hello, I have a HP 21 2014 all in one computer. He now has 4 GB Ram memory and an AMD processor. I was wondering how it would be possible to increase the Ram up to 8 GB. Is there a certain number of model or brand of Ram do I need to buy? I looked a few things on Frys Electronics, but obviously I'm naïve. I really want to upgrade memory because I have some games which really lag on this computer, even if it is new, and I know it takes more may work properly. I wanted to see if someone can point me in the right direction. Price is not really a problem, I just want to know what would be a better job for this specfic HP model. Thank you!

• Request for use of the virtual computer RAM

  Hi all

  I have 3 x VM running to work in a box, each machine was given to 16 GB RAM allocated.
  My confusion is when a virtual machine starts and become inactive, the memory usage levels out and remains the same (as you know).  However when an application is launched, and the memory usage is used, it is never 'product' when the application closes.  So finally, during the day the memory used displays 99% and will never fall.  There are never problems with caution and no request may not work, but I found this strange behavior...
  Is this a normal behavior?  Can someone explain the logic behind this?

  This laptop is sold already with 12 GB of RAM. An upgrade to 16 GB is useless and that there should be a 128 SSD GB probably for the operating system. I don't think he needs any upgrade. However, memory module is compatible with your laptop.

  Since I am in need to buy aditional RAM for my laptop, I need to make sure that the values of the new RAM I buy are compatible with the remaining material. So, I have a HP Pavillion DV6 model: 6180sp and RAM in it is 2R-8 PC3 - 10600 s-09-10-f2, across spare part 1160 HP CX 621569-001 and also M471B5273CH0-CH9. So far, I found the pdf of some Samsung is 1.5V, but I really really need the input of an expert on this subject, as I do not wish to go spend €40 more for something at this time does not in my machine. I ask this because the two PDFs for RAM 1.35 models and 1.5V are rather confusing, that's why I need input from an expert.

  Welcome to the community of HP. I see that you are looking to add a little extra RAM to your laptop. Here is Service and Maintenance Guide for your model and on page 66 you can find the part numbers for the compatible memory. You can find those on Ebay/Amazon or ordered through HP Partsurfer.

  Since you have a 64-bit operating system, you might have installed a 4 GB chip and had 6 GB.

  One day you can install 2 x 4 GB and 8 GB if you want.

  Ctdmsims Hello, here is a link for your system specs. The specifications show that the system supports 4 X 4 GB memory modules. However, these 4 GB modules should most likely be installed at the same time and not mixed with other memories.

  HP systems generally wanted to work, or work well if, with the mixed memory modules.

  I searched for some 4 GB modules that are compatible with your system, I was unable to locate anything.

  If you managed to locate a module of 4 GB, it would almost certainly not compatible with existing memory in your system.

  Just some thoughts.

  If you install Windows using Boot Camp Windows wizard will use all your computer RAM, 8 GB, when you start in Windows. It's more than enough RAM for Windows and a spin the requirements that you have posted.

  If you boot into OS x, OSX will use all 8 GB of RAM.

  What does the devices GDR x 8 and x 16? This means that modules how they are on the RAM (if it's what we call them) you are basically correct.  This is the number of chips that can be found on the memory module.  There are more than 4 x, the chips should normally be on both sides of the module.

  PS I found that manual... This helps a lot! Thank you!  You are welcome.  I have found manuals for Professional computers a lot more complete than those of home computers.  This makes a lot of sense to me.

  According to the specifications of the product, there the mother of A8M2N-(NodusM3) with 4 DIMMS.  On this page, it says that it supports up to 4 GB of RAM to 667 MHz.

  Now, I came across a few posts here and elsewhere that suggest it can handle more (up to 8 GB) and more RAM speeds (PC6400 / 800 MHz) and recognized him and used.

  Can anyone confirm that it can support up to 8 GB of RAM and with higher speeds?

  To answer your question and update this thread, I bit the bullet and bought 8 GB of 800 MHz RAM and worked for almost a year now.  I seem to remember that I ran MemTest on it and it shows that he is indeed running at 800 MHz, but that's a long time I would have done, if I did.

  I also thought about upgrading the processor, but already at that time, I installed the RAM (close to a year ago), compatible processors were hard to find and expensive.  In addition, the machine was not used for anything else than to the General functions and has also been hampered by graphics shipped to start.  At the end of the day, spend the extra money on a pretty old computer RAM was the limit for me.

  blueeclipse86, you can try to upgrade the RAM on your machine, as I have done, but, of course, I can't guarantee that it'll work for you.
