My computer stops or hangs when I print

I have a HP Officejet 6600 and a Toshiba laptop running windows 7 64 bit. Whenever I print a document, my computer hangs and comes to an error screen. What should I do?

If the PC does not all USB 2.0 ports and has only the USB3.0 ports, you can use a USB 2.0 hub. However, HP does not support the use of USB hubs and functionality may be reduced or non-functional.

You say that you don't have access to free WiFi at the moment, but until the support USB3.0 is made available, this may be the best route.

It may be better if you can get a connection without wire at this time.

    Hello MinDebbie,

What you are experiencing is "buffering." This is due to the fact that the internet connection is slow. More people who have access to the the slower video link, it will be unless you have a very high speed. Also many ISPS (Internet Service Providers) cap their bandwidth to peak during the day. This, then, slows down the connection more far. It is not a Windows problem but an ISP.

  • How to stop the print cover sheet when you print using eprint? I have a B211A 6510

When you print using eprint address, I get an in addition to the document cover sheet.  I'm wasting paper and ink.  How can I stop this page from printing?

There are a few options depending on where you are sending from. If it is a document that you join I guess its from a PC, but I'll give you the mobile option as well.

The HP ePrint app on devices like iphones and ipads, or home HP ePrint and biz app on android, allows open files and send them via eprint not at home without actually sending an email. In other words, there is nothing in the body of an email to print. The link below you shows how to start with this app and use it.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01616126

The other option is the use of the pilot of mobile eprint from your computer. Add a printing device of your pc that actually sends jobs through eprint by clicking Print on the file menu. Using this method, you can print the elements of any application that supports printing, and you have the advantage of being able to specify duplex printing (if supported on your model) and the number of copies. It also means that you won't have to save the file, open an e-mail, attach them to an email and then send it. It is done simply by clicking file, print, and then choosing the printer after the initial installation. The link below you ask your operating system and will then download and manual on how to use the software.

If you haven't tried the "last known good configuration" among the Advanced startup options then do that first.  If this does not help, you must run the System File Checker to search for possible system problems.  Then, you must run the upgrade from the system tool and then see if you are able to run the SP2 update.   Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

  • Have 2 printers on the computer and the PC will not print one when you switch to the other?

Have 2 printers on the computer and the PC will not print one when you switch to the other?

Having a printer at the office and one at home, but use the same PC for both? Unable to print at home after bring you it to the office (and vice versa)?

If you USB, most of the time, the PC will recognize what printer is which. Sometimes PORTS does not commute. You can manually change the correct ports if necessary.

    CLICK ON THE MENU START

    1 devices and printers

2 right CLICK on the printer

    3. choose the PRINTER PROPERTIES

    4. click on PORTS

    5. There will be a list of ports with one (checked marked). If it's on the wrong port, change to the right pair and choose APPLY.

(NOTE: it must ALWAYS be on a USB port or a wireless connection.) Some ports wireless start with a #(adresse IP) or a SERIAL number)

I hope this helps. Sometimes, you can create your own port if you have more questions.

  • Computer stops with a blue screen with error fatal when the iPhone is connected

I know it may not related to windows but I have tried other sites on this issue. My computer stops and a blue screen appears with the message saying fatal error when the iPhone is connected. I tried with or without iTunes installed.

First without iTunes installed, windows will be asked to USB drivers for the iPhone, but I couldn't find anything on the Apple Web sites if I click No., a message appeared, saying that it might not work properly because he could not recognize my device. Second, I have the latest version of iTunes installed, windows began to recognize my iPhone but stop immediately after that with a blue screen fatal error and messeage saying updating the BIOS. Updated the BIOS of the computer, but nothing helped.

My computer runs on Windows XP Home Edition SP3, processor Intel Core Duo 1'66 GHz, 2 GB Ram, Intel GMA 950, Intel 945 GM chipset.

I thought that it requires no USB driver for iPhone on Windows or same iTunes unless I wanted to use it for synchronization or characteristics. Please forgive me if I'm wrong, because I tried it on other computers and it had no problem with the USB drivers and Windows can install by itself.

    Thank you.

    1. have you tried to connect the iPhone to a different USB port?

The tool using System Restore may not necessarily help you determine the problem. When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:
