  Please follow the steps below.

  Method 1:

  Run the Microsoft fixit from the link below.

  Check the type of Windows Installer Service

  (a) cliquer click on Start, in start Search box, type services.msc and press to enter.

  (b) scroll through and find the Windows Installer Service.

  (c) double-click the Windows Installerservice.

  (d) check the value in the Startup type field. If it is currently set to Disabled, select the Manual option in the menu drop-down.

  (e) ensure that the service is started and set to Manual.

  (f) click on Exit.

  Method 3:

  Unregister and re-register Windows Installer.

  (a) click on Start, run type in the start search box.

  (b) in the run box, type msiexec /unreg, and then press ENTER. This will cancel the registration of the Windows Installer.

  (c) in the run box, type msiexec/regserver , and then press ENTER. That you re-register Windows Installer.

  The file association seems to be incorrect.  To rememdy this...

  Right-click on any jpeg and select 'Open with' in the menu.

  From there, you should have several options, select Windows Picture Veiwer or anything that makes sense on your pc.

  If it opens correctly, close it, and then right-click again.

  Rather than choose the same program, at the bottom you should see "Choose program" click on it and select the application that worked, then check the box that says "always use the program selected to reopen this file type."

  OK out of there and you should be good to go.
