  Did you recently patch your VM? Looks like when the guest operating system runs the incorrect commands that it can have a deactivated processor.

  Running VMPlayer 3.1.3 version 324285 build on Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit with 8G of memory.

  When I try to install some VMs based on Linux of ISOs, in a few seconds, I get the error:

  "The CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system. You must turn off or reset the virtual machine at this point. »

  It's because of your PPI export settings. Set it to 72 and enjoy.

  Pixel is (also) a real unit identical to the point.

  So, when you create the work in pixels, it corresponds exactly to creation in points, which is 1/72 inch.

  If you deliver the work in RGB JPEG format, you can use save for Web which will give you the right size corresponding to 72 DPI.

  When working in mode CMYK overall, is that becuse the work can also be used for printing (for non web/screen)?

  When it is used for the web, you can consider save for Web in case mode (or export to RGB) because it will eventually RGB whatever you do; If you save/export to RGB, you and Illy are in charge of the conversion; If this is not the case, the conversion happens there, beyond your control.

  There is no download available on the Net and your hard drive as failed now, you are unable to make the recovery of the disks.

  And you cannot use from recovery disks of a different brand or model (laptop) to reinstall Vista on your Tower / Desktop

  I agree with kody.
  The point is that most software applications and programs are designed for 32-bit Windows and from my own experience it s advisable to have an OS installed if you use different 3rd professional 32-bit third-party applications.
  Of course, you can use and install Win 64 bit OS. But you're own decision.

  But to be honest, you won't see a performance gain great using the 64 bit OS

  So I still prefer 32-bit.

  To be honest I'm not quite sure what happened but maybe it s m just a problem of windows registry.

  First of all I recommend you to remove the CD/DVD Device Manager drive.
  Then leave the appliance Manager and start recording (in RUN type regedit).

  There, you have to completely remove the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters from the following registry key values:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

  After restarting the device, wait for Windows to recognize the CD/DVD drive and retest the CD/DVD drive
