My cursor blinks

My cursor flashes approximately every 6 seconds, as I downloaded the latest round of windows updates.

Hi Ats1944,

This happens with any particular application?

What are the updates that have been installed recently?

This occurs when the mouse pointer is always or when you do a job on the computer?

You can check the same in the view update history.

You can try to reduce the speed of the mouse pointer and see if that solves the problem.

1. go in Control Panel.

2. Select hardware and audio

3. under devices and printers, click the mouse

4. go to the pointer Options tab

5 reduce the speed of the pointer of the mouse and check if the problem is resolved.

Also, try changing the refresh rate of the screen and check to see if that solves the problem. To change the refresh rate

1. go in Control Panel

2. Select appearance and personalization

3. click on display

4. click on the setting in the left pane to display change

5. click on advanced settings

6. go in the tab monitor and change the refresh rate and check if the flicker of the mouse stops.

Hope this information is useful.

  • Qosmio G10-166 - the cursor blink, but I can't do anything

I received a G10-166 with a broken power connector. The laptop had no disks or a battery, I made a temporary solution and the portable lights only problem is that after the load screen where its Qosmio, then said to the screen where the icons are the following has letters everywhere. I can see the cursor blinking, but I can't do anything with it.

I tried to access the page of the BIOS pressing F1 but nothing just this screen with the strange letters on it. Also I don't know the history of the laptop so any ideas what is wrong I want to get the job of the laptop?

    Hello

You can access the BIOS if you press ESC I n know why you try F1?

You have installed a new HARD drive now? If so, you should check if the HARD drive is recognized correctly in the BIOS. If so, you can start with the installation of the driver because the new hard drives are empty then the cursor blinks and nothing happens.

Simplest is that you use the Toshiba recovery disc because it contains an image of the settings from the factory with all the drivers and tools. Just follow the instructions of scree and Windows will be reinstalled.
Alternative, you can also take a Microsoft Windows disk, but you will need to download and install all the drivers step by step.

  • The constant cursor blink

    Separated from this thread.

I tried the fixes that have been listed for this problem (mainly involving changing default printer) and no permit.  I have a 4 1/2 years, Fujitsu lifebook and Windows 7 with Office 2013.  The cursor blink is constant.  Happens no matter what program I am. It happens on the desktop. Happens to the word & Powerpoint. Right now, I'm watching come in Firefox. My default printer is about to OneNote.  Changing default printers has not helped at all.  I even deleted all other printers and restarted. Always the same.

Is there a chance that this is caused by a Windows Update?  It seemed to start after that I not let install some automatic updates.

    Help!

You see that in any document, it is unlikely to be related to Office. Try to go back to a previous restore point and see if that helps.

  • a cursor blinking on the mouse, click on web sites, how to stop it

control over open space used to allow th arrows to move the page up and down, but now I have a cursor flashing like on a word doc.

Could have activated the so-called "keyboard navigation" by accident. To activate that turned off, you can use either:

    • the F7 key
    • page Options: button menu '3-bar' (or Tools menu) > Options > advanced, under the mini general tab, uncheck the box for "always use the cursor keys to navigate through the pages."

    Success?

  • Firefox displays a cursor blinking 'Edit' in the body of all Web sites when I click.

By clicking a button on a page Web puts the text flashing in the body of the site, like cursor editing a Word document. It is not cause other problems in addition to being really annoying and distracting, but it started today. I tried to restart Firefox with disabled modules, as well as to reinstall clean Firefox.

    Besides the above:

This is probably because passing on the keyboard navigation and you can switch power switch keyboard navigation by pressing F7 (Mac: fn + F7).

Note that this is a function of Firefox Accessibility.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > general > accessibility: [] "always use the cursor keys to navigate through the pages."

  • My mother G56 laptop is not booting - HELP - get a cursor blinking in the top middle of the screen!

Laptop of my mother with all his important files on it is not start.  As soon as it turns on, it basically goes to a black screen with a cursor flashing at the top.  I tried the instructions here to use the windows recovery image to join the reactive BACK and run the commands provided in fixboot back... but they do not work.  The computer is a laptop Nr G56-125 only about a year, the operating system is Windows 7 Premium 64-bit.  I tried also to restore system but get the same when put on

    Hello:

You tried to access the recovery from the repair CD image you did and it did not work?

If you can not get anything to work, then I of workaround that you can use to get W7 back there.

If you let just install without delete and format the drive when Windows installs, it will create a windows.old folder and you can get the files from your mother from the windows.old folder.  Also in the windows.old folder, there should be a SWSetup folder. That the folder contains the major part of the program and the installation files of the driver that came with the PC.  Copy this folder off the coast for more security and use it to reinstall all the programs supplied with the PC that you want to get back out there.

    Here is the workaround...

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.

  • Satellite L755D-10U: cursor blinking after replacement of Wlan

    I have a L755D-10U with the built-in - wireless Mini PCI - E (1/2 height) a Realtek 8188CE card.
This card is about the worst piece of technology that I met.

It works when it wants to, but as soon as I started working hard, he decided to abandon the connection and fail completely to the I disable and enable - by software or by + key combination.

I finally had enough and decided to replace the card with an Intel Centrion Advanced - N 6200.
I put in the laptop, turn on and...
... BIOS screen, then just a cursor flashing at the top on the left and a 100% locked the system.
It's nothing to do with Windows as the same thing happens if I remove the hard drive.

No idea why this should be?
I can see no sign of updates to the BIOS for this laptop, but can't believe that Toshiba would limit the material which can be used as a replacement for their machines.

    > ... BIOS screen, then just a cursor flashing at the top on the left and a 100% locked the system.
    > Has nothing to do with Windows as the same thing happens if I remove the hard drive.

What happens if you remove the new card Wlan?

You can switch the BIOS screen and is Notepad starts the windows correctly?

If the laptop would be able to start without Wlan card inserted, then it means that the new Wlan card is not compatible. This could cause your problem

In this case, you would need to remove the WLan card and need to use another compatible Wlan card.

By the way: this is an interesting document from Toshiba which offer a solution to the question: + Wireless Lan (Wi - Fi) drops or disconnects completely. +
