  Click on the settings tab

  Choose LuxPad or TouchPad and click settings.

  Also included in the other photos aebr many weird symbols that mean nothing to me.  I deleted some.  Is this OK to remove other symbols like that?

  The padlock shows only that there is a secure connection and does not guarantee that you are connected to the right server.   You don't have a numeric keypad if you do not have the Numlock. Try to use your "on-screen keyboard":

  Start-> all programs-> Accessories-> accessibility-> keyboard on screen
  The NumLock (nlk) is top left using the digital keys.
