  • Launch the default email client?

Is there a library feature to have a CVI application launch the default email client?  I can get pretty close to what I want using InetLaunchDefaultWebBrowser(), as below:

    InetLaunchDefaultWebBrowser ("mailto:[email protected]");

But it would be nice if I didn't have to launch the web browser of the user as an intermediate step.  Thank you.

You can try ShellExecute (Shell32.Lib must be included in your project CVI)

    example:

    ShellExecute (0 / * handle * /, "", "mailto:[email protected]", NULL, NULL, SW_SHOWNORMAL);

  • Is there a way to force the href = "mailto: to use the default email client"

I would use the href = "" mailto: "in my site Web automatically opens an email but the end user receives the message"there is no associated messaging program to perform the action requested... " »

Is there a way to force to the mailto to use the, and the user's default e-mail client?

    Thank you for your help

    Hi James -.

This is the default behavior of browsers when you handle the mailto link.

Please keep in mind almost half of Web site visitors do not have an email client because they use mobile devices or computers in public or web-based email like Gmail, messaging, MSN etc.

Please do not feed the spammers robots. Recommended is to use a HTML element 'form' in conjunction with a script of processing forms aside server. Ask your webhost if they provide one for you.

  • How can I set my default email client?

When a Web site, in my case a Fantasy Football site, has an option to send a mass email to all members, who does not work for me in Firefox. How can I configure Firefox to allow these mass emails sent through another site?

Firefox is configured to use Gmail or Yahoo if you have these accounts. This article describes the steps: change the program used to open links in e-mail.

If you have a Hotmail /Outlook.com account, check out this thread: How to configure Hotmail as the default mailto simply, without gobbildy-gook.

If you use a different e-mail site, some research may be needed first. A volunteer here might be able to help, according to the site.

  • Why doesn't Windows 7 with a default email client installed?

original title: no e-mail in Windows 7? What a rip.

I just bought a HP mini PC with Windows 7. Could you think that Windows 7 does not come with email? (ie the mail client) What is the point of making an operating system that does not have e-mail? Windows want to create a new email address using the Microsoft Live account and check your emails online. What _. I want to use an e-mail client based on Windows; as it is the more powerful, more productive and easier to use. Windows already has a monopoly on everything now, they want to have a monopoly on my email as well. I'm not creating a new or change my e-mail address.

I wish I knew before that I spent $350 for it. Now I have to waste my time to return.

I plan to return this at Walmart tomorrow. I'll also be blogging my problem everywhere to inform/warn any Windows 7 Outlook that Windows does not come with email.

I will most certainly be contacted Wal-Mart and HP on my frustration.

If it is something we must consider with Windows 7, then I intend seeing McIntosh much more.

In Windows 7, you have the choice between e-mail clients.  Since you want a Microsoft, download and install the free Windows Live Mail program.

You have to blog about it or really to warn the world.  Microsoft has announced that it in many places, including the Looking for Windows Mail? page, the what happened to Windows Mail? post in this forum and the lower panel of the box of Windows 7 is available in.

  • Link to an Oracle Apex users default email client

    Hello
I want my users to be able to click a button in my Apex application that will draw upward of their default e-mail client (MS outlook proably).

What is the best way to do it?

    Thank you

    Hello

The button action should be "Redirect to URL.
and the target URL should be:

    mailto:

    for example

    mailto:[email protected]

The parameter must be computed dynamically based on the logged in user
and assigned to the article some hidden (say P1_EMAIL_ID), which can then be used as:

    mailto:&P1_EMAIL_ID.

    See if it works!
    Kind regards

Are you doing your e-mail on a web site? If so, you probably haven't
set up a default email client. The e-mail client is the program
you use for mail, not a website. Standard e-mail programs are
Outlook.exe, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, strong Agent, etc. He
    are a lot of choices.

Unlike Windows XP & Vista, Windows 7 does not include a default email Client. [What were thinking?]

You will need to install a (e.g. MS Outlook;) Windows Live Mail; Thunderbird) , and then set it as a default for mail in CUSTOM (<>) article in Set Program Access and defaults of the computer , then restart your computer before any function send to or MailTo will become available.
