My dell desktop windows vista shows "keyboard failure" press F1 to continue, F2 to enter setup. I can't get past this screen. Have a logitech keyboard

My screen on my dell desktop computer is frozen with 'keyboard failure', I have a Logitech keyboard. I tried f1 to continue and f2 to enter setup, disconnect, reconnect anything will do. How can I go back?

Looks like you need to buy a new keyboard or try another and see if you still have the same problem.

    Hello

You are unable to update or upgrade Vista 32 bit to 64 bit of Vista.

32-bit to 64-bit, or 64 bit to 32 bit is done by a new installation using a full version of the operating system.

32-bit and 64-bit are different operating systems.

  • Windows Vista RC1 keyboard & Satellite A100-225

Hi I have a new laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro A100-225 and as a
journalist, I obviously do a lot of typing. I'm really very reasonable
typist with a typing speed of up to 60 words per minute with a quite small
error rate. In any case I found that when using this system with Windows
Vista RC1 2600 and typing of reports and so on, only the cursor will often
inexplicably jump to random page parts - such as for example I can be typing one
sentence and towards the middle of it, the cursor will jump on the
the third - or second previous line, or he can jump just at the beginning of the
first line, or the beginning of the line, I type, or even just to
at the beginning, or way (or indeed any random point) of the word that I'm
If you type at the time. (I've only really tested in Windows Mail and)
Internet Explorer in the forum messages so far - as I still have Windows XP
installed where I do most of my hits to my work. (Windows XP only)
shows this fault of all BTW, who would be pretty much eliminate
    any type of hardware failure).

I also tried a number of other USB keyboards that I plugged in this
System (3 in total) and they all had more or less similar errors. Some even
print numbers and symbols in the place where the letters and characters should
be, despite the fact that my bar of page layout and the language of the keyboard is certainly
100% (triple checked) updated British English UK.

Now I am really very worried that late in the day will not be
possible to fix it in time before Vista gold is released-
especially since I planned to buy it soon.

I bought this laptop because he had a "Vista Ready" label on this subject.

    Hello

This laptop has been delivered not with Windows Vista and anyway; Windows Vista is not official on the market. There is only a BETA version.
Beta versions of the OS usually include most small bugs. As a result, Microsoft offers Beta version only for the test.

I think that if you finally get one version of the Vista operating system, all bugs will be fixed. I recommend using the Xp at this time. Sorry, I can see t any other solution.

    Hello

You can upgrade on the spot if you have the CD of the OS and it doesn't delete the files or folders that you have that exists.

Upgrade in place reinstalls the operating system in the same folder as if you upgrading from one version of Windows to another. An upgrade in place usually will solve, if not all, problems of windows, replacement of missing dll, etc..

    Help!

    Roman Hello R,

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable the antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network at the time the anti-virus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot State to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the link step 7 to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 3: You can also manually install updates (KB number) by downloading from the Microsoft Download Center.
