  Dell Studio laptop computer with Windows Vista Home Premium.  Whenever I bootup, & it gets the main office, the computer hangs after about 1 minute.  If I log in safe mode it freezes after about 3 minutes.  And if I connect normally or in safe mode the box PROPERTIES of the SYSTEM (the one w/computer name, hardware, advanced, remote tabs) always appears.   Running 64 bit Windows 7 on a CPU E5 - 2665 HPZ820 2.4 GHz (x 2) 128 GB of RAM (95 GB reserved for After Effects)

  Have you installed any other software? An updated driver? If so, you may need to reinstall AE so the correct versions of MSVC libraries installed or you will have to undo everything you did change. Also check your cache settings, maybe the cache is full or damaged and causing these crashes whenever you try to add more pictures to the top of the pile.

  Luckily a colleague of me figured it out!

  It turns out that the cause of the firefox crashes came from a security layer installed with the ESC Secure Layer that uses an application called Manager of funds
  The dll that the accident was referring is used by this program. Find that out was the hell google is now filled with the nonsense of 'check your PC for malware' stupid on a search for the dll.

  After removing the application, FF works fine again without crashing.
  So it seems a compatibility issue with Firefox and Money Manager

• Tecra 8100 hangs after startup

  My Tecra 8100 has the same problem as described some time ago: the memory locations of MB were broken and doesn't have a connection properly. Even when I put paper or anything else between the cover and the memory module, it did not work and often my laptop has not yet started.

  I bought the new MB and now the laptop still start (I can see BIOS etc.) BUT crashes after Windows XP logo with notice: windows cannot start because the pci.sys file is damaged... The names of 'corrupt' are different, not only from pci.sys.

  When I portable computer boot from CD Win (to save the system) it blocks (crashes after 2-3 minutes). I tried to boot from Ultimate Boot Cd to detect the problem, but I can't do anything - always crashes after a short period of time - never start to run tests or Tools CD.

  I think that there is a problem of memory - I have 2 modules Kingston KTT-SO100/256, I tried to place them in different locations, together and alone, but nothing changes.
  These modules have worked with my old MB all the time.

  Any ideas?

• Satellite A500 - hangs after startup

  My A500 is about 18 months old and just recently, it has started to freeze within 5 minutes of commissioning. It runs in safe mode for as long as I want. I run PC - Doctor drive external HARD in this mode and found no problem.

  For anyone else having this problem this is how I fix

  C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\SLCache

  C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore

  Find these two folders and move SLStore and SLCache folders to another location. Illustrator automatically generates them and then it worked!

  * C:\ProgramData is hidden, you should see and exploit the hidden files.
