My display driver crashes

My computer screen goes black. the back light, for about two seconds and saying my display driver crashed. I just had a new hard drive put in because my only original died. If anyone can help. I have a Dell inspiron N5010 with windows 7.

If you haven't already done so, go to the Dell for your PC support site and download the latest video drivers supported for your specific PC on their part.

Install them according to the instructions on the site and see if that helps.

  • HP Envy 15 Display Driver crashing into some games

    Hello

Since I bought the HP Envy 15, I had problems with the AMD display driver. First of all, I went to fixed graphics in the bios. When I use the AMD GPU, I have random crashes while playing a few games (only tested Minecraft that runs on Java). I have the latest version 64 bit java, so this isn't the cause of this problem. Accidents appear at random times with no errors except the bubble "AMD display driver crashed and successfully recovered" to appear at the bottom right. When the driver crashes, I have to restart all programs that use the GPU because they do not work properly unless I have restart them. I have already discussed this problem with the HP Instant Support (Chat ID: 39947114) and I was told that the R & D of HP will be notified to soon release an update of the driver. I don't know if the R & D was notified or if the driver is going to get an update. If all goes well, there is a solution to this problem.

  • Display driver Crash on Surface Pro 3 i7 HD5000

Used to work GREAT on my 3 Surface Photoshop Pro. Suddenly in the last week the display driver crashes with the hanging of sniffer GPU, and there is more no touchscreen support in Photoshop. What could happen? The only thing I noticed on my machine to update was Photoshop.

Just a quick note to say that we're investigating this now (see the above Kevin post) and I have contacted Intel and MS so that we can work together to try to minimize this problem for users.  This question is very similar to what we have seen in the past on the old systems of Surface Pro 2.

With a little luck, we will have a solution or the solution in place until the updated drivers are provided by default in the operating system, install on these devices.

  • X 201 display driver crashes

    Hello world

I have a problem with my computer laptop lenovo x 201. In the past 1-2 months, I lived when I watched youtube videos of random diversions. I have an external monitor connected to my laptop and randomly, the screen becomes black (as it is disconnected) and after some time, the image appears again and I got a message that crashed the display driver and its recovered or something like that. In any case, after that, the computer runs very slowly or freezes. Even if I try to shut down windows, is not complete the closure. The bluetooth light stays green and I hear a noise from the hard drive. In the end, I have to press the power button until it stops completely.

Have you noticed something similar? Is there any solution for this? I have windows 7 x 64 SP1 and the latest drivers of lenovo.

    Thank you

  • Re: R400/T400/T500/W500: display driver crashes "amdkmdap."

I just installed Windows 7 yesterday and of course, he had problems with this video card. I have a T500, bought in March of this year.

Everything worked fine after installing Windows 7. The problem was when I installed the video driver from Windows Update. The screen initially showed only the wallpaper after installation, and after that reboot the screen would just be black, showing only a cursor. I saw a few posts where someone said that this is because Windows thinks that a projector is installed, so you must press the button of the window + P, and then the right arrow, then enter. But I have not tried. I'm sick of this dang hacking video card!

Someone was able to get the card works well under Windows 7? Now I'm running it with just the default driver, which works fine until I try to connect an external monitor (it doesn't let me extend my screen).

If you have installed the driver Thinkpad Hotkey and OSD, you must disable autorun of the on-screen display program. The symptoms you describe are a bit like mine with the same problem

  • Conflict of ATI with Windows, leading to the display driver crashes

I have a matter of course on my new system. At first, I thought it was the video/hardware related, but now I'm leaning towards whether a conflict with Windows. However, I have no way of tracking it.

Question: my screen is going to die randomly when running intensive applications Aero, games, etc. Everything will work fine for a while (anywhere), but then the clicker from desire to screen and the display will be turned off. On the screen, I see a series of vertical bars of white with a color background. It does not seem to lock the computer, as I hear it still go sound background for once; the computer restarts finally if I leave alone long enough.

This is all performed on a new install of Windows 7 x 64, Vista Business 64 upgrade. Temperatures on the map of all read as usual and there is no errors appear in the event viewer after that I reload. Apart from the critical error "unexpected stop.

When this first started happening, I contacted XFX Support for the video card. They had me uninstall the ATI drivers, run driver Sweeper and reinstall drivers. This seemed to solve the problem until Tuesday, when Windows Update installed KB977074 - a completely independent update of video - and then errors started happening again.

After an adjustment with the restoration of the system, I tried to format the drive and start again. After getting Windows 7 x 64, I started to install programs one by one, checking after each installation to see if I could create the error again. Everything was going well until I reached a program that Basic Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x 86) installed. Once the error began to occur after that, I uninstalled programs and did a system restore before installing the package.

The computer had already installed the C++ 2008 (x 64) package, and has worked once the 2005 32-bit package has been deleted. However, most of the programs that I want to use, and most of the GAMES for that matter, require the package of 2005 must be installed. So I re-installed and removed the 2008 package. thinking that it was a conflict between the two (/ straws), but it did nothing. Returned errors and I got a while back to square one, hiding on the last stable the system restore point.

I don't know if I'm still on a conflict driver, hardware problems, or if the C++ packages are some how messing my system. I don't put much faith in the second, because I do not think that the first scan with driver Sweeper would have so much success, only to be later taken by a totally independent Windows Update file.

So, to save my sanity. I've been looking through past posts and didn't find any error similar to mine, so I'm pretty sure this isn't another repost. However, if I managed to miss something, please point me to the right post.

I have a my dxdiag output upward on pastebin; http://pastebin.com/f7e9f05c7  It was a little to long to post here.

    Hey David,

Please check the safe mode and see how it goes.
To start in safe mode, see:

Start your computer in safe mode
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Also, try a lower resolution or check taken resolution supported by the video card.

    Reference:

    Change your screen resolution

  • Display driver crash y500

I get these random crashes and they are annoying as hell!

I just bought this phone 2 days ago and Im not happy thereby.

    Clues?

This happened to me too at the beginning. Just update your Nvidia drivers for later (314.22) and who should fix it. In addition, if you plan to make games on the laptop, go to the control panel Nvidia, then manage 3D settings and set the power to maximum performance management. It would have save me a lot of pain if I had known that at the beginning. Make sure that the SLI is enabled too.

  • My Aspire 5734Z-4725 laptop display driver guard crashing

I just had a new hard drive in my laptop... I had a few problems with this company that I paid to get the job done. I had to go back 4 times for them fix something they didn't / finished. Now, my display driver crashed a few times and before I ONCE MORE I would like to know if a display driver has something to do with the new hard drive, they have installed? I'm boo boo the model here when it comes to the internal computer parts stuff but extremely frustrated by this company...

It may or may not.  We need the logs to be sure.  You can download your Event Viewer logs?

You can also delete the current driver and install the most recent driver available

  • Why my display driver keep on crashing?

Whenever I try to play a game in full screen, the screen flashes black and there are black stripes. Finally, it stops, and the game ends. Sometimes, the computer restarts, and occasionally, the message "display driver has stopped working and has fully recovered. This prevents my brother and me to play games, which is what was intended at our new computer.

    Hi Jod,

    Please contact the Microsoft community.

I'm sorry to know that you are unable to use your computer to play games like the display driver crashes often. This problem can be caused if the display drivers are corrupted or needs to be updated.

To get a clear understanding of the issue, I want to know:

    1. What is the brand and model of your computer?
    2. You did it changes on your computer before this problem?
    3. Is that the question is only when you play games?
    4. Game in which you try to read?

To resolve this problem, I suggest to follow the methods in the link below and check if the problem is fix.

  • Dell XPS 15 "display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

    Hello

About 3 - 4 times a day while working, my computer hangs for 1 - 2 seconds and I get a message saying my display driver crashed and has fully recovered. In the event log, I see a warning saying:

"Display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

I have a Dell XPS 15 10 Windows running with the latest updates. It has a Intel (r) HD 4600 Graphics and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 750 M graphics card. I also use a Dell D3100 3 USB docking station, however I notice the issue with and without this used.

I tried to install the latest drivers for the NVIDIA card. I am currently using "10.18.13.5906".

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

  • Display driver hangs on the computer and the error message "display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version 306.97 has stopped working and recovered."

Original title: NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version 306.97 display driver has stopped working and recovered.

    Hiya,

I have recently installed Windows 8 Pro, installed all of my usual applications etc..
    The problem I've encountered is maintaining display driver crashing. Or have waiting periods. The exact error message reads;
"Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version 306.97 has stopped working and recovered."
Until now it expires randomly even when the computer is idle, and more frequently when I watch videos online. Also, watch a clip full screen on some sites like YouTube is ok, but on others, it is very laggy (updated maybe once per second the image) and the sound is out of sync.
I can't find a way to properly uninstall the graphics driver.

At least yours is working semi... I have the GTS 450 (uses the same drivers) and the mine does not at all... Stuck with the regular game pilot integrated ATM and can not all games... Microsoft told me to wait a few weeks and for the reminder and Nvida said 10 ways to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for same. Hope someone with to get a fix for this soon.

    Hi guys,.
Looks like this isn't just me.
Just an update, that I can not confirm it as a solution, but I have not encountered any problem (a little screenlag aside) since the installation of the drivers beta. For me, the beta version of the driver is 310.33, R130. The only other change to my system updates Adobe Flash version packaged with Google Chrome to 11.4.31X to 11.4.402 to eliminate serious problems when you watch the video in full screen.
    Information system;
Operating system: Windows 8 Build Pro with Media Center 64-bit, 9200

Edit: Still not falling down, 11/02/12, 4 days

    New edition;

    If you still receive the error message, try the following steps;
Has. try to perform a clean installation of the driver.
Download the latest drivers for your graphics card. Run the downloaded file, and select "Custom Installation". In the next screen, you will see a checkbox or similar labeled "Clean Install".

You can do so by visiting nVidia Driver Downloads (www.nvidia.com/Drivers). Automatically detect the right driver or download using the form. The best way in my opinion is to use the GeForce experience, who will do anything for you in two clicks and a reboot.
    B. close all other programs
It is possible that the error was caused by too many programs that need to use the resources provided by the graphics card/chip. It is also possible that a certain program caused a conflict that pilots crashed.
You can try closing some currently open programs one by one and see if the error persists, or restart your system with disabled startup programs and allow them one by one to find the culprit. If the error is too persistent to do the above, it would be easier to start in safe mode option.

    Hello

This is a typical problem for series a500 freezing and crashing. I'm also owner of A500-1dn, had the same problem who had disappeared after the update of a map graph to nvidia.com. But you know, this driver is not pretested by Toshiba and use it at my own risk.
