My DVD player doesn't appear not recognized anymore

I run an E7500 Windows 7 - 64 bit OS in a processor Intel Core 2 Duo CPU - @ 2.92 Machine GHz - 2 GB Ram

After the installation of Win 7, my DVD Samsung SH-S223C drive - pb07 worked well
I have all the updates that are installed so far.
Suddenly, the player is no longer recognized, and view its properties in Device Manager indicates:
"Cannot start this hardware device because its configuration in the registry information is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"
(I translated the above Dutch)
What should do?

DVD player doesn't work after installing SP3 for Windows XP. That it disappeared from "MY COMPUTER". Device Manager sees it, but there's a yellow exclamation mark over it. See the BIOS of the motherboard and it still works in the BACK. I know SP3 is a collection of updates, but I'm not sure that is my problem. I suspect it's one of the more recent cause I have Windows automatic updates is turned on. Thank you.

  • DVD player doesn't read CD - R not

Got the new laptop 2 days ago everything is going well until a friend gave me a cd - r with a few pictures on it. For some reason when I inserted it the computer could not find, asks me to insert a cd when I double-clicked on the drive in my computer. DVD, CD audio seems to work and I've tried the drive on another computer and it worked fine. Pilot put up-to-date and always the same.

    Can someone please help?

    Hello

Be sure to get technical support from the manufacturer of the system involved because that player could have alignment or other problems.
While this could be a problem, it may be a problem that will get worse over time. Also more you change
on a new machine more they will claim that it was something that you did. Try many CD from various sources to
    determine how serious this is.

CD have a tolerance + - and yours could be outside the tolerance just what the disk or anything/much.

Troubleshooting Guide generic for this issue:

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. If the drive does not appear, continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

    Hello

I searched drivers but can't seem to find a.

Can someone point me to the right direction?

Or do I restore to original settings - Windows 7?

Which brings me to my second question. How to restore? I did not have a backup, but I left all my data on a hard drive.

I can't find any help on any of these challenges.

    Thanks in advance.

To be honest that I n t have this unit and don t have experience with it but I ve checked Toshiba to THE support page and of course, this model is not supported for Win8. What you need are utilities and tools specific to Toshiba.

In my opinion, if the device is not fully supported you should go back to original Win7 and supported.
I put t know why you didn t follow the Toshiba s advice on the creation of recovery media. From my experience, that the recorded data are unnecessary, and you will not be able to start the recovery image installation.

What you need now is the recovery disk. Visit the Toshiba page if there is possibility to order a new. Otherwise contact the closest service Toshiba and ask if they can help you with this.

  • USB ports not recognized anymore

I have Vista.  USB ports and ports that accept cards camera no longer recognize them.  Scanner can be moved from USB port to the USB port and works but "Explorer" does not show that they exist.  How to recognize camera cards (mainly) as they did before?  Windows offers device (camera card) has a problem, but this isn't the case.  Card works so executed through camera (USB cable to the USB port) in two different cases with two different cameras.  Also plugged on the USP port scanner is not recognized by the function 'Explorer' but actually works very well.

    Hello ghpots,

    ·         What happens when connect cards camera on USB ports, it installs the device drivers?

    ·         What are the changes that you made to your computer, since it has stopped working.

When you connect your devices to the USB ports, check the status of the device in the Device Manager. Check if you see a yellow fringe or exclamations in the Device Manager.

I suggest that you remove and then reinstall all USB controllers.

To remove and reinstall all USB controllers, follow these steps:

    1. click on start, type Device Manager and open the Device Manager.

2 right-click every device under the Bus USB controllers node and then click on uninstall to remove them one at a time.

    3. restart the computer and reinstall the USB controllers.

Plug in the removable USB storage device and test to make sure that the problem is solved.

Check the Device Manager to see if the unit under section USB or other devices. To do this, follow the procedures below:

    Method 1:

    1. click on Start, right click computerand select Properties .

    2. click on Device Manager.

    3. click on the (+) sign next to Universal Serial Bus controllers and next to the peripheral plus other section.

Look for the USB device under the Universal Serial Bus controllers, or under the other devices section.

    4. If the unit is under Bus USB controllers or other devices, click on the reference to the 'unknown' device name, and then click Uninstall to remove the device.

    5. close Device Manager, and then restart the computer.

    6. If the USB device that has problems with software and it has not already been installed, install the software, now follow the planned manufacturer of the directives.

7 reconnect the USB device that had issues and test to see if it works.

The unit should now work correctly. Continue if the device name is not found in the Device Manager.

Method 2: There may be a problem with the USB port. Try connecting to a different USB port. If the USB device is displayed in Device Manager after plugging the cable in a different port, then uninstall and reinstall the software of USB device driver.

Method 3: Check the manufacturer of the device for support if the device is still unable to display.

    Hello

In the manual, you will find a list of media recommended because this media has been tested and were working properly.
However, I use TDK CDs and DVDs and it works as well.
Juan suggested in another ad that sometimes 3rd applications or DVD copy locks are responsible for some driver problems:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=12497

What I mean is that it is not easy to give a generally the solution of these problems.
You should try different media, burning software and if it doesn t work so it s is a malfunction of the equipment. In this case, you will need to replace the drive.
