My Equium A60 not startup after Windows update

Hello.
I have an Equium A60 (PSA67E) about 1 years. There has been many problems with this one recently. First, there was the problem of overheating. The machine would heat up and stops by itself without any warning. I tried many options by keeping the cooling ports clear but dint help not at all.

I've recently updated my bios version 1.90 such suggested by Toshiba. I always see overheating so far after the bios update.

The most annoying is the display driver which is in this case a lack of mobility radeon ATI 7000. This would cause the display to become oversized and the resolution is very low. It would go without saying when I restart the machine.

Last month, I reformatted the machine using the Toshiba Recovery CD. Everything went well until I am passed on the automatic update of windows. The first update coming, and I install and reboot the machine to let it function. He's fine. Comes the second update is installed and I have proceed to restart to allow functional upgrades, it does not start. The machine keeps starting over and over again without loading the OS. The screen is the typical Toshiba boot screen with the yellow light (charger) on the screen and after some time a blue screen is delivered for a short time (I am unable to read this error message it is said) and the machine starts start again. What can be the problem?

I need to install windows XP SP2, and for this I need to go through the Windows Update. What can be the remedy and on the update of the available display driver. I tried, but it makes the situation worse.
I used the recovery CD at least 20 times that there is no alternative. I tried to start in safe mode but din't work.

Hi, Germain,.

According to your description of the problem it doesn't seem to be anything wrong with what you have done so far, but I just want to clarify a few points.

1. After installing the recovery CD system you install/activate your anti-virus software?

2. are you using Windows Update in automatic mode or you manually select the update process?

I recommend you to turn off automatic error (Advanced tab in system properties) reboot so the system will not attempt to restart when you get your blue error screen. This will allow you to see what error.

Kind regards

  • Black screen on startup after windows update 7 crashed

    Hello

    Hope you can help.

I have windows 7 64 bit installed and everything was fine until last night.

It seems a windows update has been downloaded and when I turned my PC it was installing the update - the projection of the usual blue installation screen updates etc.

It took a long time and it seems to me he had crashed, has frozen I couldn't move the mouse.

Yes I know it says that you should not turn the PC while the update was the installation, but for me, it seemed like it had crashed and frozen upward.

So I decided turn off the pc and he left the next day to check the pc.

I turn on the pc and select windows 7 in my list - I have Setup dual boot

I get the message that windows did not start properly, so I select boot normally - I get the swirly logo appear and then just a black screen with the cursor that responds to moving the mouse.

There's just the black screen with the cursor and pass to the next step of the login screen.

I think because of the windows don't update not install correctly and turning the pc off this contributed to hang on the black screen.

I tried to start in safe mode to see if the same problem which he passes, I can connect via the SafeMode very well and have the available login screen and entered fine windows via safe mode.

I get ideas as to what I can do to solve this black screen?

To confirm once again, this has happened after a windows update tries to install, but as I felt it had crashed I turned off the pc - no drivers graphics etc. have been installed for a long time - only this update of windows

I hope you can help, thank you very much

I was able to return in Office windows as usual, I even installed the update that it crashed on the last time, well, I think that he reinstalled the last update, it crashed on... anyway, I think I'm back to normal, but will check it out tonight but if you are still having problem try what I did It can work for you.

  • Windows does not load after Windows update on January 8, 2010

Basically, I've updated windows last night and is gone to bed and after I myself woke up and turned on the computer, windows won't load.

There was an option to repair, but he says "Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically.

So I ran the hardware test and everything was fine.  I tried to do a system restore... but it is come to the same, exact screen stating that «Startup Repair cannot...» ». I tried to run in safe mode and exactly the same result.

I don't want to try to restore the computer to factory settings and lose everything I have.

If the worst happens, follow these steps below for data recovery before reinstallling:

    1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

    2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:

Download the Vista software from the link above.

After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.

Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

  • Qosmio F750 - touch buttons does not work after Windows update 10

    I use a laptop Qosmio F750 (PQF75A-02Y00Q).

Installed on the computer the previous operating system was Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Then, I upgraded the operating system to Windows 64-bit edition 10.

As expected, this change would cause problems to appear. The thing that is really bothers me right now is that the touch of the keys in the top right of the keyboard do not work as expected.

The buttons respond always if you touch them, but they do nothing on the screen. for the most part. When I touch the Volume Up / Volume keys down, they work as expected. However, the key Mute, the button Play/Pause, the Wifi key on / off and Mode (as well as the key to toshiba bulletin board) eco button do nothing.

Curiously, when I manually turn eco mode from the power settings mode eco button again turns the green.

My last question is, how can I fix this so that ALL keys work as expected?

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I noticed that the recognition facial webcam was funny things as well, but everything what needed to be done was to recalibrate the installation for that to make it work again.
Curiously, all the FN key functions work well.

In addition to the question in bold, there are all the other drivers should I install to improve/restore functionality to my laptop? As the page of Windows 8?

    Hello

I have the same problem since update 8.1 and now after 10 update, even more I lost the 3d display function since I updated to 8.1.

  • Laptop HP - 15-r213ns: hotkeys (keys of wifi sound, brightness), does not work after windows update

    Hello

    I have a HP laptop - 15-r213ns (ENERGY STAR) with windows 8.1

Last night, after an update of windows, the shortcut of the brightness (F2 and F3) volume (F7 and F8), wifi (F12) and keys all others have stopped working.  I can always change the brightness and volume using windows, but I can't do more using the keys.

The function keys are working, as refresh F5 or F3 Browse. I noticed that before I had to press the FN key for this and now she does without the FN + Fx, so I guess that the update of windows must have changed something here.

They used to work fine before the update. I reinstalled the display drivers (NVIDIA G-FORCE 820 - M) and looked for new drivers or update drivers using HP Support Assistant, but everything is up-to-date.

I was looking for hot key factors in the page of HP drivers for my product but could not find any keyboard, drivers or software related shortcut keys.

    any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,

    Marco

    Hi, Marco:

The system of the event utility is supposed to get the Fn keys to work.

    Details:

This package contains the HP System Event utility for the laptop models running a supported operating system. HP System Event Utility allows the special programming function keys.

    File name: sp70439.exe

You can find this file in the Software - Solutions section of the driver for your model page.

I think it's a bad place for this question, because this issue has nothing to do with the Toshiba TV.

I have no idea how the Windows 8.1 update works for other computers, but if upgrading 8.1 to Windows on computers laptops Toshiba, all tools and drivers must be updated to version 8.1 of Windows also.

I put t know how you plugged the calculation of this TV but it s recommended to repeat the connection procedure after the update of any system.

  • NB550D - does not start after Windows Update

NetBook may have turned off during the update of Windows like now it will not go beyond the Green loading bar with 'Microsoft Corporation' below. It gives an option to start windows normally or to load files to repair, but the two find themselves stuck on the Green loading bar. SafeMode (all options) earn as much as classpnp.sys and then freezes.

Using a different laptop I did a windows repair disc and then copied the files on the USB key (netbook has no CD drive) according to the guides online. When the USB key is loading files of repair, there is a flashing cursor, and then he's new to the Green loading bar. SafeMode (all options) gets stuck on disk.sys with inserted USB.

Found a few threads with similar symptoms with most being caused by a questionable HD (verified, nothing obviously disconnected) connection or the SATA mode in the BIOS the wrong (seems to make no difference between ACHI or Compatible). Next plan is to start a live version of linux and try to replace the classpnp.sys file with on another copy of Windows 7.

If anyone has experienced this before or can give indications that they would be much appreciated,
    Thank you.

    Hello

To be honest, never had any problems after a windows update.
But it looks like an anomaly in the system.
My first idea was the use of the repair option and you try to start the operating system using the option: use the last known good configuration.

But if it would not help, then you can try to replace the files to aid and booting from the Live CD. Not sure if this would solve the problem, but I think that it of certainly worth trying otherwise you will have to reinstall the OS using the HARD drive recovery (if still available)

  • Battery not detected after Windows update

    Hello

I own a HP Pavilion G series laptop and I have windows running on it 8.1. Windows just made me finish an update, after which it is not detecing my battery more. Initially, he says: "trendy but no charging current. That's why I shut down the computer, removed the battery and plugged in. Now, he said only: "no battery is detected.

I should mention that I do not use the original supplied with the laptop battery. It's a long battery life that worked well until the update. Please note that I am not too good with computers.

I appreciate any kind of help in this situation. In addition, please let me know if any other information is needed to help out me.

    Thank you

Edit: Now, sound to pass the message between: "no battery is detected" and "trendy but no charging current.

    That of Emad,

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

The updated patch is maybe not able to detect "non standard" battery you are using.

You could try to use a Restore Point and affecting the system to a date before the update was installed.  In this way, the offending update will be deleted from your computer.

Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)

Contrary to belief, you have a choice on the installation of the updates.   Windows cannot make you install updates on your computer.

You can set Windows updates notification, so you can decide what updates are valid for your situation.  Many people choose this course as one that fits, even if it forces you to do a little more work.

If you set the Windows updates to be notified

    • and you always create a Restore Point before you choose to install updates
    • and ONLY install you the important updates (never optional updates)
    • and you've read about the updates that you have any concerns at all
    • then, you may find that you have less long-term problems

  • External hard drive is not recognized after Windows Update

Original title: XP Pro wants to install driver for external hard drive that is Plug-and-Play

I think that using Windows Update can cause problems (unintentinally or not) for users of Windows XP.

In a series of accidents with an old computer and reinstall the XP Pro operating system, I discovered that MS Money installing only if it was made before the Windows updates.  (planned obsolescense?) The issue has to do with the removal of the registry AUTORUN file. INF for some new and improved files through Windows Update.  Before the updates, the file exists, and I could install MS money.  After updates, AUTORUN. Missing INF file of the registry.

Now, I encountered a new problem, and I think that it is also a result of Windows Update.  My external hard drive to IDE, that worked perfectly before on this computer (newer), is no longer recognized and want to reinstall the driver.

The problem is that it is a Plug-and-Play device, and no driver was needed before updates.  I read somewhere in my many attempts to find a solution that the MS Plug and Play system was replaced by a universal version of this feature (UPNP?)

It's on a more recent, computer replacement, which came not with a copy of the Windows XP Pro operating system, and I can't just reformat the hard drive and start all over again.

Someone else has encountered this, and if so, have you found a solution?

    Double Post suite-

Where is my external hard drive?

I'm under XP Pro on a Dell Optiplex PC with all the current Windows updates (SP3. Net4, etc..) and last month, I added a USB IDE hard drive. the hard disk enclosure is MASSCOOL, and I used a 250 GB Seagate Barracuda7800. The car worked perfectly until this week. I had the Windows Update critical update automaticlly value and security updates.

The hard drive has disappeared from "my computer." I tried to plug and unplug in different USB ports, restarted the computer, but continues to receive the "new hardware detected by saying me that new hardware has been detected and that I need to install the necessary driver.

The problem is that Seagate does not provide any driver for this drive, because it is supposed to be (and was so far) recognized by the Plug-and-Play of Windows XP software. The hard drive enclosure came with a mini CD, but this contains software to use the unit as a back-up, not for storage.

I can't understand that this change suddenly to believe that something in the Windows updates that have been installed recently changed the command structure, registry files or the drivers themselves.

I know this is possible, because I've seen what's happened to any program that relied on self. INF file that was originally part of XP. This resulted in programs like Microsoft Money and older versions of MS Office, not being able to be installed by those of us who are not 'technically lit.

I'm here in left field, or other people have had similar problems? And is anyone know how to solve this dilemma?

  • Windows XP does not start after Windows updates

Original title: recent Windows update for xp

As a result a my computer Windows xp, last Tuesday, my computer is now inoperative.  He was fine before this, but cannot get it to turn on.

When I tried again today, a message came up saying Microsoft to apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully.  A recent hardware or software change might have caused this.
    What should I do now?

    Grandmother,

If the options above do not, I suggest you use the Recovery Console to try to fix your Windows XP

Here's HOW - there images, so it is easier to follow. Read the section on how to use it.

Once you are connected to the Recovery Console, type the following command and press ENTER:

    CHKDSK/p

    There is a space between 'k' and ' / '.

This may take a few minutes and the command can fix registry issues possible that occurred. This is based on the experience that I have used this on an old XP machine and it showed a message after the recovery that looks like this

    See you soon ~!
