  • Satellite P100-324: the Fans are still running

    Hi to you all,.

Maybe you can answer me the question.
Is it normal that my laptop fans are still running. I put the 'silent' settings in the bios and forced the laptop to run always on 1000 MHz, if I only use it for writing
    in Word or reading emails.

It's really annoying. I don't know what to do.

Thankz for your help in advance

    Michael

    Hello Michael

It is nothing unusual that cooling fan runs constantly on low speed. On modern laptops, there is a powerful hardware that needs to be cooled correctly. Especially many different processes are active in the background and CPU is standing under pressure. Not much when you use just the laptop for writing, but obviously enough to increase the temperature of the CPU.

Try it please set the CPU and cooling to a minimum level method. Also check the Task Manager and end the process, you don't need. Maybe this will help!

  • Tecra A8 PTA83E fan is still running

I have a Tecra A8 and the fan runs always, always, when I start the laptop.
The parameters energy saver is battery optimized, but I tried several settings, no changes to this problem.
Already tried the game still at low speed of treatment (C-States, and many other options to set different) in the BIOS, no change.
Try to use system (speedfan, nhc) tools, but not detect the conroller of fan, so no change.
After 1 hour using Intel thermal analysis tool (navigation, writing emails) shows me:
    -ACPI thermal zone: 35 ° C
    -C State: C3
-Digital basal temperature (two hearts): 29 ° C
    -frequency: 1 000 MHz (CPU T7200, 2 GHz)

The area thermal ACPI stay at 35 ° C until the time of base reach this temperature 35.
When I put the level of workload to 100% (two hearts), the maximum temperature of 55-60 ° C running very quickly (within 1 minute).
The disk HARD sensor (in Everest Ultimate) makes clear, temperature of 25 - 30 c.
Tried BIOS versions (and not the changes made to this problem): 1.50, 1.60, 3.20 and the new 3.30.
What's wrong? Why not work the fan control?
Is there another tool that can control the fan or can help to diagnose (or difficulty) this problem?
In service centre (in Hungary) has replaced the motherboard (the laptop turns on), the problem exists as of this date.
I will not go, I have no other 3 weeks to fix this in the service center and I not satisfied with his work, because his "turned eye" on this problem and try no difficulty (very noisy fan after plugging).

    Please someone help me!

    Hello

    > In service centre (in Hungary) has replaced the motherboard (the laptop turns on), the problem exists as of this date.

Well, seems that it started after the replacement of the motherboard.
So I know it's hard for you to leave your laptop for several days (weeks?) but I put t see any other solution.
Maybe the DMI must be updated
So if you want to get rid of this behavior strange fan, you need to contact the ASP in your country

    Hi guys,.

A few days ago my cooling fan packed in and my laptop closed indicating a 90 b cooling fan error.

  • Fan is still running on the Satellite P300-275. Size fans?

    Hi all

I just bought a P300-275, which looks like a very good machine. But I have the problem that the fan always works, even when I only surf the web or even when the computer is idle. And this fan is quite loud.

    So I tried the following:
    -J' installed xp
-J' tried to notebook hardware control (which does not work under vista with this laptop)
    -J' tried rightmark clock
    -J' tried speedfan
-J' tried different profiles with the 'Toshiba power level.

Nothing works. I looked for a solution on the forums and found nothing so far.
I tried to launch my P300 on two "ice" (the things you put in the fridge and keeps the cold), but that market is not.

My last idea is to change the fans. Could you tell me the size of the fan (s), please? (so that I can look if I can find more "silent" fans for this size?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello

Cooling modules are developed and created exactly for this model!
You know that laptops cooling modules are not always the same.
Every laptop supports layouts of different motherboard and extends. Amount of space available inside the laptop is always different.

I don't know what is the size of the cooling modules installed, but what I know is that these cooling modules are only compatible with this series of laptop.
If the other modules will not match.

  • Toshiba Libretto W100 is hot and fan still works

    Hello

my new Toshiba libretto W100 is still very hot and the fan is still running.
Even with programs that use few resources.
If I use programs like Trackmania or Fifa 11, the temperature rises again, and the fan works very quickly and loudly.

Is this normal? reduce the temperature and noise?
    Thank you. Best regards.

    Hello

I think you use high hard who insist a lot on the CPU.
This causes higher heat dissipation and therefore the temperature drops to a higher level and this is why cooling modules run faster.

So in my opinion, everything is ok here; It s nothing unusual in the world of computing. the warm air must be removed, and so the fans run at a higher speed.

I think that the fans don't run faster if you use low performance applications. Right?

  • Fan runs almost always since the installation of Sierra and MacBook Air running Mac OS.

    Hello

Since upgrading to Mac OS Sierra last night on my MacBook Air (2013, i7, 8gbRAM), fans work almost always, even when I use Safari.  Previously, the fans would go only when I was playing a game, or video edition.  The basis of my Macbook Air is also much more hot he was under El Capitan - once again, just when you use Safari.  As a result, my battery life is horrible - dropped from 100% to 23% in a little over an hour.  Once again, under El Capitan, if I was just using internet, use of an hour would see the maximum of 10 to 15% of decline in battery.

I turned off my Macbook Air and it turned on again after fifteen minutes, but in 10-15 minutes, fans revived upward and the base (and the top of the keyboard) heated again.  No uncomfortable levels, but certainly noticeable levels.

Just to remind - I use Safari only when this happens.  Moreover, since the beginning of this question five minutes ago, the % of battery has dropped from 29 percent to 22 percent and the fans are still whirring like the dickens.

No idea why this is happening?

Hello, take a look at this maybe of http://www.macworld.co.uk/feature/mac/fix-overheating-macbook-3592266/ article it will help.

  • MacBook Pro Fan not working

I have a mid-2014 13 "MacBook Pro retina and El Capitan running - my fan has stopped working and it gets very hot. It just started today. I noticed, that he had been getting hot in the last months, especially if I watched the video on a browser in addition to Safari, but the fan is still come to cool. This is not the case now.

I did a SMC reset. Someone at - it any other suggestions?

    Thank you!

You could try The Apple Hardware Test.  You should probably take the MBP at home.

  • Fan of extremely noisy satellite A300

    Hello

My fan was working perfectly and out of nowhere it extremely noisy without reason and kept the laptop stop while playing every 30 minutes.

Then I opened the laptop to clean the fan and it is 100% clean.
After closing, the fan was still extremely loud, but now, the pc was also extremely slow.

What could have touched at the opening of the PC that made him slow xtremely and what could be the problem of fan?

    Hello

There are different reasons for noisy fans; dust and debris that prevent the cooling system of rotation correctly or a malfunction of the cooling module.

I read in your other old thread, as your A300 cut during the game.
Generally, this is caused by the high temperature.

Maybe your cooling modules did not work properly and therefore the temperature rose.

I can only speculate, but can your cooling modules must be replaced.

  • Problem with fan for laptop!

Hello, I bought a HP 2000-2b43dxbefore 15 days and I am sneaking suspicion there is problem wih fan / air on my laptop.

When I turned my laptop first and next 2-3 days, my fan was silent until I couldn't hear his work so its normal because when I turn the laptop there is no operation takes this fan needs to cool the components.

After using my laptop for 3-4 days I have noticed that my cooling fan starting immediately when I turn laptop and fan so it is quieter as the first 2-3 days. So my fan always cools, I can feel and hear, no matter what I do on my laptop. When I closed all my apps, the fan is still cooling for a long time. is this normal if I use the laptop only for internet and we know that the internet doesn't cause components to heat.

I have a photo of the user manaul, where we can see that fan to turn on and off successively during the routine operation, but my fan is almost always on. Here is picture

Have the fan lights is usually automatic. Depends on the laptop to the extent that utility controls the cooling fan.  My current product HP Envy17-3002ea a HP CoolSense book loan, but not all laptops have it. Some portable cooling is controlled by an algorithm in the BIOS ROM, which is based on the temperature ramp (delta) in the motherboard and CPU.

The fan come on your laptop starting up is quite normal. If the temperature is too hot the CPU turns off as self protection.  There are a number of Programs utility we can use if we're slightly paraniod on the temperature of the processor of the laptop, but so general, it is not really much to worry.

    Best regards

  • Strange noise coming from the fan on Satellite P100

My Satellite P100 just makes a noise like a seriously heavy drill. Nothing else happened significantly so I turned off immediately and left for an hour or so overheating had the broken fan.
Now back on and everything seems fine, but I'm worried. Is there something that can explain this? I got 5 interviews next week for which I use the laptop to prepare a presentation and I do not want to fail on me at the last minute...

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hello

that could be an object (something really little) is/was blocked in your FAN and is now gone. If this would be a problem of turnover so the fan would still some strange noises.

I suggest you do the following: use your machine as usual and if noise appears again then ask a technician to clean the fan/ventilation system. I Don t think it s some malfunction of the equipment.

    Good bye

  • HP 15 f018dx: fan noise

Since the 'fan always on' disable in the bios my laptop hp-15 is very quiet. It is now a pleasure and it is just as quiet as my friends laptop HP-15 F018dx (which has the bios F04).

If I play a game, the fan does not turn and step on it because I think it should be, but then he goes right, return to calm less than a minute after I finished the game. In the past, the game (asphalt 8) would make the fan lights quite noisy and then sometimes he would really loud as a Jet engine out of the blue, usually after playing the game more earlier in the day. Now the fan is still very quiet. I put my ear close to the laptop to hear a silent snoring also sounds very low hard drive. The laptop also seems generally quite cold to the touch, not warm.

In any case, disable the fan always option in the bios seems to have solved this problem of fan for me without having to change its current F25 to a previous one as F04 bios.

  • Satellite A300: missing letters when typing fast & noisy fan

    Hello

I hope someone can help me.

I've had this laptop for almost a year and slowly this is driving me crazy. I type very slowly and deliberately when you use IE.

For some reason it doesn't pick up evey key STROKE. It is very well when using office however applications. It seems to be possibly related to the fan constantly on.

    Online games run slowly also.

I bought an air duster can but not much came out of the box fan, so the solution suggests everyone is custody here for fan questions has not helped, the fan is still noisy and it took me ages to this type.

    Please help me!

    Andrea

What plugins are you using IE? Some plugins/toolbars can drastically affect performance.

Have you tested in FireFox or another browser? You can download FireFox here: http://www.getfirefox.com

Have you installed Windows yourself? Or are you using the factory Windows installation?

Maybe you are missing some drivers, for example, if you have not installed the correct graphics drivers, Windows will run in Mode VGA (software mode), which is very slow.
Take a look in the device for driver issues Manager.

It can also be caused by software installed. Perhaps you have two antivirus installed? Maybe you should try to back up your data and running recovery. Who would determine if it is a hardware or software problem.

An update of the BIOS can also help. You can get the latest version of the BIOS on the Toshiba site in the support section.

  • Fans of 0 RPM MacBook Pro 2015 retina

I know that the new MacBook Pro 2015 idling retina have fans at 0 RPM.

My MacBook pro retina early 2013 have fans idling about 1500 rpm, they are always on.

Is it normal that my MacBook pro retina 15 inches?

    Thank you

I don't know where you got information about a speed of 0 RPM. The good idle speed is 1500 rpm, and the fans are still running. This is what cools the machine. If you see a 0 RPM fan; then, there's a major hardware problem.
