  If the computer is on an Internet connection, you can reset the password on the Windows Password Reset site.  If the PC is not online right now if that won't work because it doesn't 'knows' the new password.

  If there is another user account on the computer that has admin access, you can use it to reset your own password from the control panel.

  If there is no other user accounts, there are a built-in backup Administrator account, but for security reasons, you can only get to Safe Mode.

  I just did a clean install of Windows 8. I don't see my favorites in IE 10 metro. I don't see pinned and Frequent but not favorites.

  They appear ok in IE 10 office.

  Favorites are in the default location, although I have them kept somewhere else to make it easier to save as well as my other data. I have since moved to the default Favorites.

  When you use the modern interface internet explore, you'll see generally as the frequent and pinned to launch Web sites. To display the Favorites, we must first pin site to your Favorites and then it would be automatically displayed in the new area of the tab. Try the following steps to see how it works:

  (a) click on the bottom right of the Internet Explorer icon small pin

  (b) Select PIN to Favorites to add this site to your Favorites

  (c) now to do a right click anywhere on Internet Explore to access advanced options

  (d) now, click the new icon on the tab at the top right

  (e) now, you'll see a list of your frequent, pinned, and favorite sites in the background.
