  You can use the code in userChrome.css to set a lower minimum width for normal tabs (not pinned APP) to have several visible tabs on the tab bar.

  I'm using Firefox on Linux Mint 41.0.1.

  I noticed that the browser appears bad Unicode characters/icon fonts. The attached pictures show what I see in Firefox (bad foreign characters) and what I see in another browser on the same platform (icons on the right, as expected).

  So I'm wondering how to fix this behavior. In addition, the option "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above" is checked.

  Version 2.0.2.0 shown in Plugins is the version of the Firefox Plugin, not the version of VLC. To see the version of VLC, open VLC then help > on. The Plugin version 2.0.2.0 has remained constant on the latest VLC updates few and probably will not change until a revision is made to the Plugin, if necessary.
