How can I fix a system32\bxrifwe.dll
Whenever my computer starts up, it gives me this error (c:\WINDOWS\system32\bxrjfwe.dll). Why this is happening and I do this with difficulty to spend money? I tried a google search and bing on this error message specific and you can find another thing that people say to download a registry cleaner for $ 40. Please someone help!

A web search doesn't get any hits on bxrjfwe.dll, it is almost
certainly a name randomly generated by a malicious software program. You did
recently remove a malware? If so it's maybe just a small remnant
of which has been deleted.Do not download a registry cleaner even though it's free.
Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registration is not necessary and is dangerous. Let alone register and
do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
What software record cleaning suppliers are trying to convince you,
have unused registry entries is not really make you hurt.
The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
It can have.

Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
good deal.Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP

I created a ghost of a 32-bit 2003 server image and tried to restore the image on the same server of model\type. I got an error message with the following.
The user interface of logon C:\windwos\system32\msgina.dll DLL could not load or restart the original DLL. Turn it back on.
Tried to fix the server with the operating system and can not find the disk driver. I found the driver load it on a floppy disk, f6 entry, insert the diskette. I have a message with the following text.

SP1 crashes with c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll
Op - sys Vista Home pre.
After D-load of SP1 (MS web site... updated wasn't) started the installation. Took the time to run EXTREME. I haven't watched the process, but noted that, in a reboot, the computer (laptop HP, AMD tru. 64, 2 GB ram 160 GB HDD - 85 GB free) seemed to be hung while activating or ongoing enforcement of the estarted and watched all the intermittent processes... until... ALL collapsed when the c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll file has been reached. the screen showed this:!! 0xC 0000022! 810/67181 (c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll)
I couldn't get to win on the desktop. Solution Explorer. Then I rebooted and used F8 to get a menu and choose Mode without failure. Given that I had a copy of the file on a USB stick (1 GB) c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll I have pluged in there during post and watched the process. This time I got a message the waqs there is no system disk insert and press a key. So I have... .pressed the any key.
Interesting the SP1 update resumes at step 3 of 3. I have not watched the process of steps 1 and 2 (it was like watching paint dry). When you have finished part 3 I was taken in the section connection and do zip! There was the office. I did what I should have done before and copied all the files which means nothing to me and the rest of the world on my 250 GB USB key and again my 500 GB ext.
Now as I mentioned above, I tried to simply rename the old file, then copy the other file in the same directory, restart and all would be well in the land of the greyknight. But..................................
Alas, it was not, the file on the computer (orig. wuaueng) was protected I don't have permission to anything but smile and look at him.
What has caused this problem is the file for bad update process? How can I get good copy?
I'm now going to try to restart my laptop hang on and I'll let you know what happens...As to manually replace the .dll file, you can find info here:
Some Windows Vista functions may not work, or Windows Vista may stop responding
How'ever, the problem you are experiencing may be related to a bad update to SP1. That would happen if you had other programs / services running that could have interfered with the update process (example is Antivirus software), or your system has been damaged before installing SP1.
I answered your second post regarding a restore disc, order one of your manufacturer and a new facility will be the best option for you.

Fortunately, not all is lost here for you. You have several options. You will need to create a CD of the utility. (1), you can boot from a usb flash drive and run utility Cd or 2) you can buy a removable usb device cd rom and there. It's the best option, but instructions differ radically, so I need to know which is your choice of boot options to help you. You won't have a windows disk to perform the procedure.

Original title: how to reinstall windows root system 32 hall.dll

I can't start windows; has received an error message indicating that I have a missing or damaged file and it said to reinstall windows root > system 32\hal.dll. There is no operating system or the startup disk. How can I recover it?
This error could be the result of a missing or corrupt hal.dll, or it could be the result of an incorrect boot.ini file.
Follow instructions on the link below to create a drive of the Windows Xp Recovery Console.
http://www.repairbotsonline.com/T109-how-to-create-a-bootable-Windows-XP-Recovery-Console-disc
After you have created the disk follow the instructions below.
1. start from the drive of the Windows Xp Recovery Console.
2. When you receive the message to press R to repair Windows by using the Recovery Console, press the R key.3. Select the Windows installation that you want, and then type the administrator password when you are prompted.
4. type bootcfg/Rebuild, and then press ENTER.
5. when the Windows installation is located, the following instructions are displayed:
Add installation to boot list? (Yes/no/all)
[Type Y in response to this message.]Enter load identifier:
[This is the name of the operating system. Type Windows XP Professional or Windows XP Home Edition].
Enter operating system load options:
Leave this field blank, and then press ENTER.
After completing the previous steps, restart the computer, and then select the first item in the start menu. This should allow Windows XP to start normally.
After Windows XP is successfully loaded, the Boot.ini file can be modified to remove the incorrect entry. Post your results and I will show you how to remove the invalid boot.ini file.

How can I reinstall the following deleted dll: "system32\wxvault.dll."

It seems that this file belongs to The Embassy Suite from Wave Systems Corp. and is shipped on some Dell computers. It is not an XP file and has nothing to do with XP. What a pity that it knows absolutely nothing about your system (thanks, MS Answers).
I seriously doubt that the restoration of the system will help you, because this file has nothing to do with XP. That looks like an engineer of 'expert' technical support which is retained by Microsoft wild goose chase. Anything for a reply with a link to a KB article...
I do not have this software, but it seems that you might be able to download and reinstall from the site WWW Dell here.
If you are not sure and that the download is not look right, you could post a message in the forums of Dell support or wave of support.

C:\windows\system32\nvcpl.dll worm xp
I have a slow XP machine running. In troubleshooting, I remove all items with msconfig startup by disable it all the button and rebooted the machine.
On a msconfig, a verified MvCpl.dll command line was there. The original on was also there uncheck the box. I searched my C NvCpl.* drive and received:
Help file NvCpl C:\Windows\Help
C:\windows\system32\nvcpl.dll C:\Windows\System32
NvCpl C:\Dell\Drivers\R65699 help file
C:\windows\system32\nvcpl.dll C:\Dell\Drivers\R65699
NvCpl C:\Dell\Drivers\R89437 DL_File
NvCpl C:\Dell\Drivers\R89437 HL_File
Tossed on the internet and learned that a rwiz.exe seem to belong to this worm. It is also in my msconfig startup page.
Any help with the removal of this worm would be appreciated.

I just re-read the entire thread. I was struck by two things:
1. this PC once stood on a field.2. this PC had Trojans.I am aware you reconfigured the PC to change the field to the Working Group, but still there could be something in profile looking for something on the field. I suppose you could create a profile of costs, but I don't know that I would waste my time since then...I think the PC is always compromised. Malware can sometimes be VERY difficult to remove. Sometimes it SEEMS to have disappeared, but there will always be a nasty, almost impossible - to detect rootkit now (or maybe even a "bootkit' hidden in the boot sector). The symptoms you describe certainly indicate the presence of malware; the PC could very well be a part of the "botnet" at this time.I recommend that you make sure that all data is backed up and nuke the drive and start from scratch. It is a hassle, but it would probably still be the fastest (and certainly the most efficient) way to treat this disorder.If you had an unlimited period and wish to experiment and explore (but I think you said that this PC belongs to a friend), you can search the Web for tutorials of Process Explorer and start a thread on Bleeping Computer or a similar site for interactive assistance. But I really think you will be better off if you flatten and rebuild.Good luck and happy new year! -

I was trying to stop some HP programs to start when I start my desktop computer. I did the following: start > run > msconfig. Click on startup and unchecked HP four applications. Restarted my desktop computer and immediately had a black screen with the following message:
The window could not start because the following file is missing or damaged:
system32\hal.dll Please reinstall a copy of the above file
I can't do anything in Safe Mode or one of the other options. Cannot re - install Windows XP Home Edition because Windows or Internet Explorer 8 will not run. Only the black screen and the message mentioned above.
I use a desktop Dell Dimension 8400 computer.
[1] Just finished everything on your step 10. I went with the Microsoft Security Essentials.
[2] I still need to download site driver Dell trying to correct this "floppy seek failure pilot 1,2 and 3 not found: ATX, SATA 1, 2 and 3' problem"
[3] I just got e-mail from Microscoft response that the thread that I created has been deleted, so I answer to you of a past replica.
Wanted [4] Thank you for your time and patience to help me. Is there something else to do for me, you can recommend?
A1. Wise move IMHO. The computer seems "snappier" now?
A2. I can't imagine that another owner of a Dimension 8400 (or 4800?) has not encountered this problem before. Discover (i.e., search) the Dell office equipment forum: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3514.aspx. If necessary, start your own new thread (registration required).
A3. If you start another thread on the computer, I have posted a reply to this & you asked to publish a follow-up replies to your original thread. [?]
A4. Welcome & thank you for your comments.
In fact, there is something else you may need to do: it turns out that KB2607712 is replaced by the KB2616676 in Vista & Win7; Windows XP needs to have both installed [despite the mention you referred in your post on September 14, above] !!!
=> So if Update for Windows XP (KB2607712) is NOT listed in Add/Remove Programs, you will need to manually download/install a revised version [long story, involved - you don't want to know]:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ACTIONS:1. open Internet Explorer to http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=27244 & click on the button CONTINUE.
2. after VALIDATION, download the installer for KB2607712 & save it to your desktop - NOT run again!
3. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).
4. double-click on the file that you saved in #2 above to install the update. Follow all the instructions (reboot required).
5. check that the Update for Windows XP (KB2607712) is now listed in Add/Remove programs.
===============
PS: If you have NO Office or Silverlight or any installed Windows Live Essentials application, I can tell you how to start your Windows XP computer & full load more quickly.
