  If this isn't the case, then two Option in this tutorial will show you how to set to wake your computer from a mode standby to run Disk Defragmenter. Eventually your computer will be to sleep after the usual idle time you defined in the Power Options.

• 4440 HP printer all in one reject job "Delete" in what.

  Can not get the print job indicated by "delete" to get out.  Pinter do not print!  The ink is fine, no paper jam, print glass but don't print computer screen.  Help, please.  Thank you

  Looks like you need to restart the print spooler for this clear the queue. Here are the steps to restart the print spooler.

  1. type services.msc in run or search programs and files

  2. scroll through the print spooler

  3. click on stopand then close the services window

  4 restart the computer

  My calendar gadget all orange background and does not display the date information. I tried the various help and resets listed in the site support, and also through a search engine search.  No solution that was out there was again active. I tried to reset the file .dll, re-installed McAfee, closed, deleted and re-installed the gadget.  I'm running to do a total reinstall of Vista (not), but I don't really want to do this for a simple gadget. I don't know that there is a difficulty there. I have install a registry cleaner and then uninstalled it, but I don't remember the name of the program. Thoughts?

  This behavior is observed if the XML registration is missing in the system. To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  • Close the Windows Sidebar . To do this, right-click on the Sidebar icon in the Notification area, and then clickoutput (GK: in the case of Windows 7, press Windows key + R > typetaskmgr and press enter > Proccesses tab > selectsidebar.exe > click on the end process button)
  • Open an elevated command prompt window. To do this, clickStart , click principally made programs , Accessories , right-clickguest , and then click run as administrator .
  • In the command prompt window, type the following command and press ENTER:

  regsvr32 msxml3.dll

  Similarly, run these commands:

  regsvr32 scrrun.dll

  regsvr32 jscript.dll

  If the registration was successful, you will see the message DllRegisterServer in succeeded to for each executed command. OpenWindows Sidebar (sidebar.exe ) and check if the problem is resolved.  You will need to disconnect and reconnect your user account to check if the issue has been addressed.

• HP All In One Officejet 4500: HP print jobs all in a single Officejet 4500 disappear. Print test pages. NO ERROR MESSAGE.

  Lenovo Thinkpad T61 refurb bought last fall. Today when you attempt to print a page of a web site (Firefox, latest update installed today) the print job has disappeared. I tried e-mail (Thunderbird and web) and files, and in all cases, the print job goes away completely. I did all the steps of printing test pages, and they all work very well. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the printer, without result.  I tried new drivers or updated without result.

  The light of attention seems to be on, but it is very weak and disappears when the printer goes into powersave mode. There is NO error anywhere, nothing appears on the search via the control panel.

  At this point, I have a broken printer? A situation of system restore?

  A wasted two hours and I'm about to be really annoyed. Ideas appreciated. TQ

  How very special. Not your answer, thank you very much for your time. But there were two solutions posted much sooner, within a very short time after I posted the question. Confined together part both of the solution and the rest of the solution were, essentially, download the software version of seven 2014, which supersedes what I had. So, I've marked the post as solved, says thanks a lot and thought no more about it. (Although I am still puzzled as to why it happened in the first place.) Now, my post is reopened, the responses of two originals have disappeared, and yours have been replaced, all this without any explanation. It's just a bit too scary. Fortunately, the problem seems to have been fixed by the software update. So, I'm marking as closed/resolved. Thank you.

• DeskJet 2542: May not print on HP Deskjet 2542 of HP 6910 p - but can all the other PCs in the House

  I have a brand new 2542 Deskjet and three computers.

  Two workstations.  Running a 8.1 and a running 7 home premium - both can print.

  The laptop can not print, but can scan.

  The laptop is running...

  Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit

  On a HP 6910P

  Have used both the drivers from the website, as well as those included in the box.

  None of the questions that he is, he just will not print.

• Gadgets Sidebar missing

  On my sidebar l had the calendar, clock, 3 new and different climate zones etc., but they're all gone.

  When l try to re - install only one of these gadgets, all the getting is a small white square for the calendar, etc. or a shadow of the clock.

  You would be extremely grateful if someone could help me recover everything - thank you.

  Recently the weather gadget for windows sidebar did not work at all. It keeps saying "Service unavailable". As I am posting this now, I clearly have internet connection.   for a 2nd page SideBar? Have you checked the firewall to make sure the sidebar and Gadgets can access
  for the net?

• all my files or icons open with paint

  I tried to do something because my sticky notes were not working

  and then I found myself by right-clicking on a file and then I klicked 'open with' and then I chose the paint
  I tried undo it, it didn't work, I don't want to create another user.

• Windows 7 Gadget weather Eye is not finding the place or show

  I have been using the Eye weather Gadget on my desktop. After trying to find a new location, the weather eye gadget would not find any location and view. I tried to uninstall and re - install the gadget and it does not display. It works on other computers, but it no longer works on my home computer where I used the Gadget weather eye for a long time. Does anyone have a solution so that I can start using the same eye weather Gadget again? It is a common instrument. My other gadgets all work fine.

• Cannot delete a print job from Quebec

  7310 HP all-in-one.   Electricity was interrupted during a print job.  I can't delete this job from the (QC) I have used the keyboard delete, cancel in the menu, cancel on the printer.  I have successfully deleted all other pending print jobs.  I turned off, unplugged and turned back again.   Certainly, I hope someone can help with this problem.  Thank you in advance Jackson

  I suggest the following: disconnect the cable USB, then download the full driver recommended from HP here.  Once the download is complete, run the Setup program.  Do not connect the USB cable until the installation program invites you to do.
