My game is not kompitabel with Windows 7

I just upgraded my operating system to windows 7. The problem is that I have, just before I did the upgrade, bought a game called "Empire total war. But now when I have Windows 7 the game is not working properly. I didn't know what the problem was at first but then I searched the webb and found a site that proved all my system now for the game and he showed that he was my os my game does not work. Is it possible to fix it somehow? all my other system requierments enough and the game worked before I did this upgrade.

You do not describe the problem you are experiencing, but the first suggestion is to ensure that you have the latest video drivers.  A lot of people who bought steam ETW are running the game on Windows 7: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1003609

Suddenly the game works, I had just to click on the button "Retry" a million times. It is still coming up with the same error message, but it seems to work (a bit)

If it worked on vista and you win 7 is the same bit (32-bit for the two, 64 for both) it should work in win 7 by installing in compatibility mode

To install an older driver in win 7, you must install it in compatibility mode.

  • The Sims 2 is listed as not compatible with Windows 7, but expansion is. It will be the game does work if I install the extension?

In the Windows 7 Compatibility Center it is said that the Sims 2 is not compatible with Windows 7. However, it is said that an extension kit is compatible. This means that it will work if I install the extension?

original title: The Sims 2 compatibility
    I had no problem running a Sims 2 expanded on a Windows 7 (x 64)
System. I don't remember trying to run the Sims 2; at the moment I have
has obtained a Windows 7 system, I got all the extensions and Packs of Stuff, then
I installed them all in one session.

I recommend installing the program and download the application of all
updates to the core of the program, and then do the same for each subsequent
expansion or Stuff Pack, in the order they were released.  Download
and apply all updates for a given extension / pack before installing the
    next expansion/pack.

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

Review the information from the Windows 7 Compatibility Center.
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/search.aspx?l=en-us&type=software&s=Grand%20theft%20auto

He says that version 2 is not compatible.

If Aero is the problem, disable it before installing the game and then turn back on.
I would say as you right-click on Setup and select "Run as Administrator".

    I hope this helps.

  • eGames Solitaire Master does not work with Windows 7

Original title; Programs Application Applications Apps game games Legacy Crash crashes Hang Application Compatibility hangs

Tried master eGames Solitaire, this does not work with windows 7. When will Microsoft a compatabillaty mode that actually works. If this is not the case, stop advertising as such. Its time Microsoft was made responsible for the costs involved in the duty of the latest edition of the software because of their own mess.

Then you may need to try the modes of virtualization I listed above depending on the version of Windows 7, you have installed. However, XP Mode was created mainly for commercial applications and not for games so graphics intense games may not work correctly even in XP Mode.

You can check with the manufacturer to see if they have an update or a fix that will allow the game to be run on Windows 7. Since the site egames solitaire Master 3 or 4 Master Solitär does not show to be compatible with Windows 7. However, they show to be compatible with Windows Vista.

It is the manufacturer of games to make their games compatible with the operating system back.

    Hope this will help.

  • Zoo Tycoon 2 will not install with Windows 7 x 64

Recently, I switched from XP to Windows 7 Ultimate x 64. When I went to reinstall Zoo Tycoon 2 and all the expansions and discovered that only the base game and endangered species will even install. Even the add-on downloadable Addax and the update does not work.

    I keep getting 'LOC_WRONGUSER' or 'LOC_ZT2NOTINSTALLED '.

I am logged on as administrator (my account is also the only one on the pc). I have a solution sought for hours, but can't find fixes for the memory problem. I don't have the memory problem, the basic game and endangered species play a lot. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know how I can get to the African adventures, Marine Mania and extinct to install animals? I think it's pretty sad that a game Microsoft has problems with a Microsoft OS lol.

    Hello

As I mentioned in my previous answer, some versions of Zoo Tycoon is not compatible with Windows 7. You can get the best solution from support of Zoo Tycoon. I suggest you try to contact support.

  • I want to install the Commander of the force star wars on my new PC, but says it is not compatible with windows 64-bit. I try the windows XP mode and it tells me that I need to connect a hardware device 3D

I want to install the Commander of the force star wars on my new PC, but says it is not compatible with windows 64-bit. I have try on windows XP mode and it tells me that I need to connect a hardware 3D device. I really love the game and I want to use it again.

Any old copy of Windows XP that could be installed in the host system? If you do not, it should be available at a modest price of an online seller. Perhaps (I'm not too), even an old Windows 98 TO work. The game (using a 3D engine) will not work under pure DOS, so you need a Windows environment so that it can work. Just FYI: If you get this old classic to run, new issues may arise. Known are the "mss32.dll" runtime error (you may need to replace this file with the newer version of SW:KOTOR 1) and the issue of video cutscenes (the games uses an obsolete video codec, Smacker - either you find an old *.) DLLS for it or have you convert movies in a modern format).

In conclusion: get old games to run on software/hardware modern (it is not only a problem of BONE) is one of the most fascinating and rewarding challenges to a real fan. But do not expect it will not be easy "out of the box" (or simply insert a CD).

    Hello Jimmie Jr.,

The problem is that the software or programs that have been created for the previous operating systems such as Windows 95/98/XP have no way to correctly work with an operating system like Windows 7 that did not exist when the programs were written. Windows Vista and Windows 7 have been written on a different kernel of Windows 95 and Windows XP. However, you can try compatibility mode and if this does not work you can try using a virtual machine to run the software. Much of the time the software publisher will publish updates to make old software work with newer operating systems.

If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

    Use the following steps:

    (1) right click on the program

    2) click Properties

    3) click on the Compatibility tab

    (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows XP or other system that the program has been run successfully operating.

Check out the link here: make sure to run older programs in this version of Windows

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

If compatibility is not successful, then try and self-test program compatibility issues:

    1. open the program compatibility problems theStart button.

Then click on Control Panel. In the search box, typetroubleshooter, then clickTroubleshooting. Under programs, clickRun done for previous versions of Windows.

    2. follow the instructions in the troubleshooting.

If you are unable to install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the Troubleshoot utility, navigate to the program setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. This utility is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.

If you are running Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate version, install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx) and run your software in Windows XP.

If you run Windows 7 Home Premium, try VirtualBox (www.virtualbox.org) or VMware Player (www.vmware.com), or any other software virtualization part 3rd and install a separate copy of Windows XP (family or professional edition) for this purpose. You can find the virtualization software free that will run on Windows 7 Home Premium.

Hope this helps you understand better.

    Sincerely,

    Marilyn

    Hello
    I have problem with Toshiba Satellite C660 - 1CN PSC0QE.

Touchpad do not start with Windows 7 Home Premium.
All the drivers are up to date.
    BIOS - lastest.

After logon, I need to click on * double * "FN + F9" and after it is OK until the next reboot.

    I tried:
several drivers of Synaptics - no change.
    Reinstall Windows - no change.
Mini Windows XP Hiren - no work.
    Default BIOS - no change

After that I installed 'toshiba value added package' I can't turn on the touch pad at all.

To be honest, I never heard the show. According to specification for laptop, your laptop came with Win7 home premium 64-bit. With factory settings touchpad should be activated after the OS has started.
I can read you have reinstalled Windows. Have you reinstalled with the original recovery image and tested with factory settings?

  • Why my printer does not print with Windows 8?

Why my printer does not print with Windows 8?

Did you just upgraded or purchased a new computer with Windows 8, and now you can't get your printer to work?  If so, this can help you.  Many people have questions about the installation of their printer on a new OS.  This will help you answer these questions and make sure you get everything installed.

    Before you start

Before you try to install the printer on a Windows 8, you should check to make sure that the printer is compatible with the new OS.  The link below will give you a list of printers that will work in Windows 8.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03168175

If you have upgraded your computer to Windows 8 formed another version of Windows, make sure all software uninstall complete of your printer.  It should still print, but to use all the features, you will need to reinstall the software, if available.

Another thing to consider is how you want to connect the printer to the computer.

    1. USB.  You must ensure that you have a USB cable which does not exceed 6 feet (about 2 m).  Be sure to connect the printer directly to the computer.  Do not use a USB hub.

    2. Ethernet cable.  Make sure you have the network configuration, you have a free cable port on the router, and you have an available Ethernet cable.

    3. Wireless.  You must ensure that you have the configuration of the wireless network, and you have the password of the wireless network.

    1. installation Via USB

Installation via USB in Windows 8 became much simpler for users of HP printer.  In other versions of the Windows operating system, you need to launch the installation and wait that it asks for the USB connection.  If you do not, you will need to uninstall the printer from the devices and printers folder and then launch the installation.  In Windows 8, which won't be a problem.  If you plug the USB cable from the printer and then install the printer software, work remains.  Now for in depth instructions on installing the printer via the USB port click on the link below.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03521864

2 installation Via an Ethernet network connection

For an Ethernet connected printer, the installation is disconcerting.  All you have to do is to connect the printer to the network.  Once you have done so, Windows 8 will automatically install the drivers for you.  Then, all you have to do is install the rest of the software, if available.  It's really as simple as that.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

3 installation Via a wireless network connection.

For a wireless printer, network installation is disconcerting.  All you have to do is to connect the printer to the network.  Once you have done so, Windows 8 will automatically install the drivers for you.  Then, all you have to do is install the rest of the software, if available.  It is roughly the same as just Wireless Ethernet installation.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

    Alternative installation methods

With Windows 8, the drivers of many printers are installed with the operating system.  These are called pilots InOS, since they come built-in to the operating system.  If you have one of these printers, you should have to do simply connect it to the computer via USB, or connect to the network via Ethernet or wireless.  Once you have that makes Windows will take care of the rest.  There are other methods of installation of your printer if normal methods don't work for some reason any.  You can install the printer is using the printer, or through Windows Updates Setup Wizard.

    Set printer wizard:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02681060

    Windows Update:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03460648

Note: The drivers of Laserjet for the Asia-Pacific and the Japan will come only at a later date.  See below the link support site for the availability of the driver.  I will update this post once they become available.

    Hope that answers some questions.
