It gives me the msg of error that my product key is already used, but I do not use the old hard disk which is crushed for anything other than back up now, so it doesn't matter if I can't start Windows on this drive.  I bought a new drive and want to install windows on it.  My question is: How do I disable my last windows installation so that I can activate it on the new?  I am running windows 32-bit Home Premium.
    Thanks for any help.

You can reactivate your Windows Vista installation by doing the following:

    1. click on the Start button and in the box, type search: slui.exe 4

    2. press the Enter key on your keyboard.

    3 select your country.

4 follow the instructions for the activation of the telephone (toll-free).

  • Need to reinstall XP but have lost my product key

I have a windows computer that is so old that, until recently I only ran from 98SE to this topic.  A few years ago, I bought XP - just before XP exploded the market, actually.  When I installed it, I discovered that the only programs I've used with no matter what regularity still existed, a couple who worked in the BACK (!) and the other who would not run in XP.  So I went back to 98SE.

Recently, I bought a Macbook Pro.  I have an emulator on BACK, so I run now these two programs on the Macbook.  And I have a Mac program, which replaces the one that did not run in XP.  But (1) I need the Macbook to the old Windows of the network computer, and it doesn't seem to work with 98SE; people on various forums suggest that it will be easier with XP.  (2) I downloaded a new program that does not run under 98SE, but works on XP, Vista and 7.  (My old windows computer is too low to run whatever happened to XP.  Even XP stem it.)
So now I want to reinstall XP.  I was barely in the process when the message came to enter my product key.  The problem is that shortly after the first installation, I put the disc in a box, without getting into account that the product key is on the original cardboard jacket (or whatever XP came in--I don't even know).  I've looked everywhere and can't find it, and apparently I copy down the key to product no more.
Y at - it * all * way to reinstall?  Or get my product key for Microsoft (I register XP when I installed it first)?  I can't reach tech support tonight, I get an error message.

I need a vista clean reinstallationof. I jave an Acer laptop and I have the key product for the vista operating system installed which has completely disappeared. How can I get a copy of vista to reinstall?

    Hello

See if you have a Recovery Partition of Acer.

    http://Acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/2631

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • Cannot find the product key to reinstall Vista

I want to reinstall Windows Vista to clean my Toshiba laptop, but when I bought it, it came with the Windows Vista disc. When I searched the help options, they said I have a sticker on my laptop that has the product key to this topic. I'm sure that I have this sticker, but it is worn out, so I can't read the key top. Is there another way for me to recover this product key, so I can reinstall Windows Vista?

    Hello

Key Finder programs are useless to use on the OEM of the computer like Toshiba, Acer, etc.

They will only find a product key that is used on several computers during the Manufactuering which is of no use to you when reinstalling the operating system.

These programs are only useful to find retail operating system product keys, which then can be used.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Follow these steps to reinstall Vista:

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

With a Toshiba recovery process can be started by pressing 0 (zero) at startup. (Power on / start)

This is Toshibs; has instructions on this subject.

"How restore your laptop Toshiba to its state of charge software factory using system recovery"

    https://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/bulletinDetail.jsp?soID=2737864&PF=true

The methods above resettlement generally do not require allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

And you have a pre-installed OEM license or a retail license?

If it is an OEM preinstalled contact license (Acer, Toshiba, etc.), the manufacturer and, ask them if you have a recovery Partition and if so, how to use it to reinstall the operating system to a new State by pressing F10, F11, or a sequence of different at startup button. or if you do not have a recovery partiiton asked to send you recovery disks, what they should do for a small fee.

  • I installed Windows 7 not genuine, I need to activate it, but I could not find the product key

    * Original title: product key

I installed Windows 7 not genuine, I need to activate it, but I could not find the product key. Could someone guide me please.

If you can't find the product key, you will need to buy a new one:

You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.

There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? Don't ask Microsoft. »)

  • Need help finding the product key.

Here, can anyone help me find the product key of Norton antivirus software that came pre-installed with my hp Pavilion 15' inch laptop notebook pc. I need to update the software and I can't do it without the key.
    Impatient in waiting.

If the product is installed (Norton _) - it would be better to contact them (Symantec / Norton) support - as it's their product and they will be able to tell you where to look.

otherwise, you can try third-party products like Belarc Advisor - that should give you said information if it exists on the system.

  • My wife down loaded window 8. But I want to reinstall vista 32. No cd. but I have the product key.

My wife down in 8 loaded window, but I want to reinstall Vista 32. (not), but I have my product key.  I need help!  Thank you

    Hello

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista from how you bought your computer, IF the 8 Windows Installer do not wipe it.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

  • need to find the product key for Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium

Last year, I bought a HP Mini 110 series laptop running Windows 7 Starter. I'll tell you the real story, months later, the operating system does not load. Before that, I bought the Windows Anytime Upgrade Windows 7 Home Premium. Days later, the DVD arrived from Microsoft. After the operating system does not load, I called HP support and said the problem of my laptop. Then they sent me a USB which has Windows 7 Starter (which is authentic and no time - watch) and a subscription for 1 year for Norton Antivirus 2011 (now expired). But when I bought the Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium, on the site Web was my product key, I did a .txt and copied the product key. And then when the OS does not load, and I had to perform a recovery on this piece of *. Can use a work card, or do I have to call microsoft? Just give me an answer, and NO pirated keys or I point out the text

You can do a upgrade Express from Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Home Premium.

Windows 7 - upgrade Express features:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/products/features/Windows-Anytime-Upgrade

If you are in Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States, you can use anytime upgrade. If this isn't the case, you will need to purchase the version of Windows 7 you want.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/products/Windows-Anytime-Upgrade

First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click the option to purchase a key. Wait while loading of the Express Upgrade page, click on the Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade to buy it.

Click Next, fill in your details (it is important that you do this because the product key will be sent to you as a backup in case you need to reinstall) enter your credit card information, click next to begin the upgrade, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement , click upgrade, wait while the software updates, (it may take 10 minutes or more, depending on the case, updates are required), your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify its update of the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a windows will pop up by notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium, your files, programs and settings stored, proceed to activate Windows 7 Home Premium.
