my headphones (or headsets) does more work when plugged into the audio input jack

I have a 2010 27-in. iMAC.   I am running Yosemite 10.10.5.   Recently I can't get audio on the audio jack that I always used with my helmet.  Have tried the other sons of contact as well as the apple earbuds.  Audio is great internal speakers.

When you plug your earphones sound still come through the internal speakers?

When you plug in your headphones, you see those as an option in preferences-> sound-> release system?

  • How to get a popup when the device is plugged into the audio input jack?

Original title - card Audio HELP

I have a small problem that should be pretty easy to answer. A quick response would be nice. I'm new on Windows 8, and when you plug a device into the audio jack, a box used for poster asking which device is connected. Now that the box appears when I plug in a device. How do I get it to appear again? I have Windows 8, with player realtek HD audio. More info can be provided.

    Hello

This problem can occur because of incorrect audio settings. Let's try a few steps to solve this problem.

    Method 1:
As you use Realtek HD Audio, I would suggest trying the following steps and check if it helps.

    Enable auto-popup
    a. press the Windows key + X, choose Control Panel, select hardware and audio.
    b. scroll and select Realtek HD Audio Manager.
    c. click the icon for folder just above and to the right where it says analog panel back and just below the device's advanced settings.
    d. click Activate dialog popup automatically when the unit is plugged in.
    e. click OK twice.

    f. now, restart the computer and check the issue.

    Method 2:
If the problem persists, I suggest you to set the headphone or speaker that you connect as a default value, and check if it helps.

    (a) right click on the volume icon in the system tray and then click on "recording devices".

    (b) right click on the space empty in the window pop up and then select "Show disabled devices" and "Show disconnected devices".

    (c) right click on the headset and then click on 'Activate'.

    (d) (d) mettre put out the microphone, then choose "set as default device".

    (e) click apply and Ok.

Hope this information helps. Answer the post with an up-to-date issue report to help you further.

  • NotifyIcon() does not work when integrated into the application (.exe)

    Hey everybody,

I use the NotifyIcon() of System.Windows.Forms.dll (.NET 2.0) to create a menu for the handling of an application. I started work with the example shown here http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/3915and the code works when running in the IDE of LabVIEW.

However, when I build the code in an executable file, the icon not during execution. Someone has an idea of what could be the problem?

My code is still very messy (still in try-everything-and-see-what-works phase), so I will clean it before returning and detachment.

For reference, I'm doing a system-tray only monitor for a NI DAQ 6009. Program begins in the system tray and begins to record data. The user can right click to display the main window where he can change the interval plots or update view.

    OK, I got it working!

It turns out that I had a few errors:

    1. when I copied on the System.Windows.Forms.dll, I also need to copy System.Drawing.dll because I used during the creation of the icon.

    2. I had the .dll files in the build directory, but I forgot to include the icons used by the program.

It turns out that the NotifyIcon() has been called, but a picture of the icon was never created! So why I couldn't see it...

If you want to try the native audio driver, the instructions are through this link above. If you want to see if it is better to have a driver directly from Realtek:

Go to the selection of downloads Realtek page. http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/
On the page, click on 'High Definition Audio Codecs.
Check "I accept", and then click "next".
In the column named "Description" you can find the file named README. Who has the instructions for the installation or update.
In the column named "Download", click one of the server names to download the Readme.
Return to the column named "Description" and select your operating system (and if it is 32 bit or 64 bit) at the top of page 2 choice in the list.
In the column named "Download", click one of the server names to download the driver.

The current version on the Realtek site is R2.75. Don't know how that one differs from Dell.

  • Headphones + microphone does not when plugged into the headphone jack on Macbook pro.

    Hello

I have a problem that has caused me a lot of irritation just because it seems so simple to fix, but Ive tried practically everything that I can think to do better and it has really improved.

I was skyping the other day and I took my headphones into the headphone. They have a microphone in them. When I plugged hide them in, I could hear the other person, but they could not hear me. It was the first time Id used for Skype, but still, something must happen in this brief moment of ruin.

So I did some research here and on google and I couldn't find much. The page here titled "Why slope my friend hear me on Skype" seemed to work correctly the first time, I followed his instructions, but to test it, I unplugged my helmet again. Once again, it fouling all upward. I even wrote the settings he was conducting (apple System Preferences) and Skype and when I put them in the way it was when it worked, it worked this time.

Just to be clear, I fixed it, but then to test it, I took out my helmet again and it has stopped working and even with the same settings, it will not work. It's extremely frustrating.

It will work when I plug my headphones into the audio jack, but then I can't out of my helmet, which defeats the purpose of having them.

My headset is not broken and my helmet is not broken because I can listen to music through my headphones and use my headset to call my friend on my helmet.

I feel that somehow, my helmet (which previously was transmitting my input headphone MIC perfectly) has become messed up somehow (I feel like there must be a setting or something that Im overlooking) and I just need to configure it to work at the time of entry and exit instead of having input/output divided between the helmet and the microphone port.

I hope this was clear enough. Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions that you may find useful.

I can't tell if it's a Skype problem or a problem of mac, but Im asking here just see what I can learn.

    Thanks in advance

Too bad. I forgot the first rule to set anything on the computer: turn off and on. It works, but it seems absurd that something like that (what I think is something fairly common) would need to restart your computer.

    Well.

  • the volume button on my computer does not work, when I turn the sound upward just bar falls to zero, no idea?

can someone me, help the sound icon on the bottom of my scree of the computer doesn't work, when I puch the bar until you get sound on my computer, it just goes back to zero all the time...

    Hi JacquelineStueck,

Parameter by default on your computer would be to reduce the volume when inbound communications are detected.

    a. change the setting in your control-> Sound-> Communications tab panel ' doing nothing '.

    b. click on apply. Click OK.

If this does not help, perform the clean boot in order to identify the request at the origin of this problem:

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

  • Challenges of the audio input jack (seems not work)

    Hello

    I use an HP Envy 15-j030eb, running Windows 8.1 x 64.

Recently, I need to use my laptop audio input jack to connect my speakers, but I don't get all the sounds. I tried to connect two different types of headphones, with no audio to come through. I don't remember really when I finally used, but I'm sure it worked at some point.

Otherwise it is inserted into the Jack, I get his normal good through the internal speakers, connect a TV via HDMI also works very well.

I tried most of the solutions I could find online (definition of default playback device, change the bass and treble levels, do a hard reset, reinstall the drivers...), but nothing helped. Start Notepad from a live USB Ubuntu USB also translates the same behavior; play music while my works of great internal speakers connection helmet muffles all. This leads me to believe that it is not a Windows/driver issue, but a bios/firmware/hardware one.

Run HP (from usb boot) and the test of speaker adio also doesn't send audio signal to my helmet and gives a failure code: gll3kv-6nm782-mfgjxg-20ek03. I could not decypher this identifier.

Any suggestions on how to proceed and get my audio jack working again please?

    Kind regards

    Klmdb

    Hi @klmdb

Welcome to the HP Support Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I saw your post about the problems with your audio jack. I looked in that identification code of the failure that you have posted and there is an audio hardware failure which could be a couple of different things, but from what you describe, it's the audio jack that has failed.  The audio jack is not a replaceable part, you will need to seek to replace the motherboard or card mother.
