my hp 940c seems to work ok on my new hp p7 1010 but I don't have desktop toolkit

I just purchased a p7-1010PC HP and connected my HP deskjet 940c. It seems to work ok, but I noticed that I don't have the desktop icons for the printer and the Toolbox I had on my other HP computer. Should I reinstall with the disc that came with the printer?

Yes there is no Toolbox for your device in Win7.  I searched through the manual online and did not see a button for cartridges align from the buttons on the front panel.  I don't see a solution for you in there.  the link I sent you says something similar.

In my view, that a procedure Align cartridges is performed automatically when you insert a new cartridge, so that might be another way to trigger an align cartridge.
