my hp deskjet 3050 detects other networks.

My HP deskjet 3050 detects other networks, should I block the other networks? If I need to block other networks, how do you? And other people use my printer to win my internet useage?

Just as your laptop and desktop computer can detect other networks around your House, it will be in your printer.   Your printer will connect to a SSID only at a time with YOUR password.  So not to worry.

  • HPJ610a Deskjet 3050: Join the network wifi through router new Deskjet 3050 HPJ610a

I moved into an area of network connected to fiber (NBN Australia) and installed a new router D-Link DIR - 850L.  I was unable to connect to the router using WPS.  I had to buy a HP Envy, which connected wtihout difficulty.  I just upgraded my router to a TP - Link Archer C9, with a richer control interface, so I tried again to connect my Deskjet 3050.  Once again, no luck.

I read a number of posts about this, and they all back down to the re-use of your installation of the printer software.  The problem is that the software driver for OS X El Capitan comes from Apple and is already up-to-date. I am able to run the printer when it is connected by a USB cable, so if I could work out how to emulate an installation, I might be able to get connected.  Is it possible to do this?

    Hello

Sorry for jumping in, but the steps in Mac OS X are in fact incorrect.

In System Preferences, select Printers and scanners.

Double-click the listed USB printer, and then select the printer settings / Options.

Open the Utilitiy tab, and then click Open Utility.

In the screen, select Convert to wireless and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the pritner to your wireless network.

Note: If no option appears, click the top phone menu and select Connect a new printer, and then follow the steps by choosing a wireless connection.

    Kind regards

  • Wireless link has disappeared from the Sony laptop, XP, but the link still works on Vista computer. However, Sony can still detect other networks.

I have a Sony notebook 'dated', XP Professional, Service Pack 3, using a Netgear wireless router. It has worked well for years, but last week, in the middle of a session, I suddenly lost the wireless signal. The router works fine with the other, my Vista computer. The strange thing is that Sony can see other networks in the building and sometimes also my network, but does not connect. When I try to manually connect the connection disappears again.

Were there an XP update that may possibly be the cause or is there another explanation?

    Hi SveinD99,

Thanks for posting. The first thing I would recommend you do is go to the website of the manufacturer and the redownload and install driver wireless. I would also contact the manufacturer to see if they have diagnoses of material that they work to test and make sure that the material is healthy and working properly.

    I hope this helps.

Update: it is actually a service running in the Microsoft Windows services such as 'HPSupportSolutionsFrameworkService '.
The executable file is located in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hewlett-Packard\HP Support Solutions\HPSupportSolutionsFrameworkService.exe
This service runs, but does not seem to be enabled.
It adds a controller service background that adjusts automatically to

    13 - tried to run pnutil.exe

Because I managed to install the * printer driver (but not the * scanner driver) using the command

I was looking for a similar solution method for the scanner.
    So tried for example
RUNDLL32. EXE, SETUPAPI. DLL, InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 HPScanMiniDrv_DJ3050_J610. INF
but which failed with the error "failed to install".
Also tried to navigate this HPScanMiniDrv_DJ3050_J610 file in Windows Explorer. INF
then right click on the file name and select 'install' in the list, but that showed a dialog box

    Use:

    PnPUtil.exe f d oem0.inf-> Force delete package oem0.inf
    PnPUtil.exe -? -> This form to use

    So I ran this command:

    d:\ Tuesday, May 30, 16 16:33:39 > pnputil-i - one HPScanMiniDrv_DJ3050_J610. INF
    Microsoft PnP utility
    Processing inf: HPScanMiniDrv_DJ3050_J610. INF
The driver installed on a device on the system.
    Successfully added driver package.
    Published name: oem115.inf
    Total attempted: 1
    Number was imported successfully: 1
    --- cut here: end ----------------------------------------------------

The disk check showed the file "oem115.inf" was indeed installed in the directory "c:\windows\inf\".

During troubleshooting earlier, I already copied the file
    HPScanMiniDrv_DJ3050_J610.dll
Located on the HP installation CD
    in the folder
    c:\Windows\System32\
    and also to
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\

I then run the steps here:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/working-with-Scanner-Camera-Installation-Wizard#1TC=Windo...
Before using the wizard, connect your scanner or camera and turn it on.
If Windows detects the device and installs the correct driver, you're all set. There is no need to run the wizard.
To start the scanner and Camera Installation Wizard
Open the wizard scanners and cameras by clicking on the
Start button, then click Control Panel.
In the search box, type scanners and cameras and then click Scanners and cameras.
Leave administrator needed if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation,
type the password or provide confirmation.
I can't find that on Microsoft Windows 7, but clicked on the button 'add a device '.
This shows the scanners currently present on the system.
If it is present, double-click it.
Microsoft Windows will be found the driver for you.

But he could not find a scanner or install the scanner driver.
    So not solved.

14 - Note: If a successful installation: for example, you should be able to see the
device scanner in 'Start' > 'Control panel' > 'System' > ' Imaging
    devices

15 - I then tried to run Windows fax and scan program
    (you need to install first)
    WFS.exe
    But not find scanner.

16 - I then connected the printer with a USB cable to the computer.
He began the installation of the driver and reported a successful installation
    and analysis successfully.
I guess that somewhere in the previous steps, that the pilots were in the right
    place.
But it works with my attached USB cable.
If I try to remove the USB cable it says
"Cannot find the scanner." No scanner or other source TWAIN found on the system'

    17. I also tried to run the Installation Wizard of HP printer
    http://support.HP.com/in-en/document/c03521864
    but that no longer works.
    It has detected now:

    "HP Deskjet 3050 J 610 series" - network
But for the network one he noted a problem:
"The wizard has reported a problem with the software driver for the selected printer."

    "HP Deskjet 3050 J 610 series" - USB
For this version of the USB what he reported:
"Basic features drivers seem to be installed for the selected printer." We recommend you to install the complete HP software to get all the features of the printer"

If you click 'next' again it downloads the usual HP software that you
can not install. With the same mistakes as in step 2. and 3. here.
    So no solution.

18 - of the current workarounds:

    a. - possibly try some of the steps above which may take for example, the printer and scanner driver to the right place.
Then connect a USB, Microsoft Windows should detect the printer / scanner
    and install the drivers.

    But printing should work wireless.

    Disadvantage:

To analyze you will need to connect using a USB cable and the scanning doesn't work so not wireless.

    b. - buy or use Hamrick VueScan. It installs its own drivers to scan.
But it is not free software. But it works by scanning wireless also.

Question: If you have the best solution or workaround solutions, for example to activate
scan wireless too, please let me know.

    Hello @knudvaneeden,

It is a great place to get help! I read your post and see that you receive an error when trying to install the software to print, but you have finally managed to install the printer by a USB connection. When you use the printer as a wireless connection, you are not able to scan. Please provide all the detailed steps that you have already tried. I want to help you solve this problem.

Make sure that you disable the Antivirus software and scan in real time if your software Antivirus has this feature. It can affect the entire software installer.

Follow this document to see if you can install all drivers: HP monofunctional and printers multifunctional - installing software Fatal Error "fatal error 1601' (MSI error 1601) displays for HP. »

Try the scan of the painting to see if you have the same problem.

Run the Print and the doctor Scan and let me know the error codes or if everything is checked. You can attach a screenshot.

Scanning ports is not open on the router to the origin of this problem. You can contact the router company to verify and to open these ports 9220/9500/427 on the router.

I'll put up a simple LAN to play files high-resolution audio composed: 1) router. (2) switch; (3) PC Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit as a music server. and (4) two Synology DS1512 + software like NAS storage for audio files.

I correctly installed hard disks in hibernation, and all the State LEDs show that hibernation work correctly.

At this point in the installation process, the Synology installation instructions indicate that the software should be detected in the network by music PC server.

However, hibernation appear not in: start > computer > network.

Music PC server is properly configured to recognize other devices on the network: 1) Home Network; (2) such avancΘs adapter required for network sharing and network mapping; (3) LLTD protocols are installed and enabled in the properties of the NETWORK adapter. and (4) the firewall is disabled.

I can connect the music PC server to another local network which includes two other PC and see all the network devices in the LAN to help start > computer > network.

The router DHCP table indicates that music PC server and two DiskStations are in the same subnet, and I can ping the two hibernation since music PC server.

I would ask for more information: 1) what protocols made a PC uses to detect other network device when you use Start > computer > network? (2) have I forgotten something in the configuration of PC? and (3) someone had a similar problem? If so, what has been done to solve it?

Thank you very much for your help.

In your message, you indicate that you have installed new readers to the DiskStation 1512 +, power on and the lights indicate that the systems are running

    Of the Quick Setup Guide

    http://originwww.Synology.com/en-UK/support/download/DS1512+#download_tabs_doc

Chapter 3, Page 13 shows that the next step would be to install DSM on DiskStation that is actually the OS for NAS. To do this, you need to install System Wizard (Ch3:1) on your PC. This then scans the network for devices and image (Ch3:2) shows that at this time the system is "not installed". Follow this guide through install DSM on the device, remember that Synology Assistant package may not have the last included DSM and the last may be available separately.

    http://originwww.Synology.com/en-UK/support/download/DS1512+#download_tabs_dsm

On this page, the package of DSM is 4493 package 4448 is that may be the version of DSM included yet.

When you have installed the disks, they were blank discs. Has DSM of a web interface for you to define what to do with these readers, that space will be used for different functions, which users can access the drives and so on. The SA is the tool of DSM load

Read the User Guide to see how to use the Web interface to configure how to configure these options. Once you have access to the web interface Windows only participation lies in the fact that you use a browser to implement the DiskStation, it can just as easily be a Mac or a Linux PC. It is therefore really Synology support you have to go for more information.

  • Why my Mac under Lion does not detect my HP Deskjet 3050?

    Product: HP Deskjet 3050 CH376

I got my printer works perfectly for like a year on my Mac, which runs on Lion.

I never even had to use the CD or anything like that. So the other day I tried to set up wireless.

I put the CD in and it said that the CD was outdated for my operating system, and that I should install the latest version of the software.

I installed the drivers and software current, but then my computer could not detect even my printer, even through the USB connection.

I uninstalled the software and then reinstalled.

It seems fitting that my Mac cannot detect my printer.

    Help, please

    OK, more ideas:

    1. connect your printer directly to your Mac, not to a USB hub.

    2. check if your Mac sees the material:

-go to the Apple menu, hold down the Option key, and then choose system information

-Click on USB on the left side.

-Is it your printer appear as being recognized by the hardware?

  • HP Deskjet 3050 - unable to connect to the WPA secure wireless network

    Hello

My first post here so please excuse any misstep on my part.  I bought this HP Deskjet 3050 a week ago and have since been war with it.  I would be really grateful if someone could possibly give advice on how I can solve this problem.

I am unable to connect the printer to my secure wireless network, even if the other computers, cell phones, etc. are connected without problem.  I tried WPA, WPA2 and WPA2-Mixed modes with the same failure security. Specifically, the 66% reached Connection Wizard, then displays the error that the wizard can not find/network printer.  If I disable the security, the printer connects very well.

I use a Linksys WRVS4400N router with firewall and associated firewall disabled settings.  The router broadcasts on 802. 11 g / N mixed mode.

I install the software provided on the CD for installation on a Windows XP SP3 System.  I confirmed that the PC and the printer are connected to the network are the same.

The issue as well, if you will allow me: I have not yet tried these drivers, but I see there are any updated drivers for the printer in date from 14/12/2010.  The release notes indicate the improvement of networks, but do not develop beyond that.  Does anyone know if there was a known problem with the connection to secure networks that has now been corrected?

Finally, just a note that I am partially blind and using a screen on all systems reader.  I'll try my best to be as helpful as I can to please forgive me if I can't find the settings, etc. on screen and sometimes need help for a little more detail.

Thanks in advance for your help, I really enjoyed.

    Have a nice day,

All the best for now and take care,

    Hussein.

It is not the fact that it is impossible, is the fact that this was not done, yet.

    Hello

first of all, my apologies for the delay getting back to you.  Poor health means that I had little time or want to do great thing on the side of the computer of htings.

In any case, I am please to say the problem with the HP 3050 failing to connect to my network is now resolved.  There seems to be a bug with the installer, and that seems to include the version the most recent publication Dec 2010.

To resolve this problem, I did the following:
    1. disable all security for the network options, so it's just an open network.
    2. connect the HP 3050 to the network by using the installation wizard. This time it connected OK for me.
    3. Locate the IP address of the printer.  I used the table of customer list accessed by my router interface. You may be able to get this through the printer on the menu screen, but as I am partially blind, it wasn't an option for me.
    4. Enter the control panel of the printer to http://ip.address.of.printer for example http://192.168.2.108
    5. under Advanced options, configure the network settings, including the password and the Security Protocol.  Don't forget to enter the SSID of the network exactly as it is configured on the router.
    6. apply settings, disconnect from the control panel of the printer.
7 log in the router configuration panel and re-apply the security options.  Make sure they match these match those entered for the printer.

I hope it will be useful to others in the same position.

    Thanks again for your time.

    Best,

    H.

  • HP Deskjet 3050 j610: what is the port port HP rediscovered network monitor?

On my trips with the 3050, I noticed a port with the description "HP network rediscovered port monitor", called CN * HX. (this name is the serial number of the printer, I discovered)

My assumption is that it is somehow, which re - assigned IP address of the device.

I want to put a static for my printer IP address, so that it is predictable on several machines, use it on a wireless network, at different times - rather than a new allocated IP address from time to time as one or the other computer online or stops.

The CP applet using devices and printers, the print server properties, I can't delete this port. On different computers, Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, I have the same port when I installed the HP Deskjet 3050 (in both cases, undivided and as devices on the same wireless network).

    Is this necessary?

    Hello @westernwombat,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I hope you have a pleasant experience here.

I would help to shed some light on questions about the rediscovery of HP Network Port Monitor.

As a general rule, when you install an HP printer via a wireless connection, the software will automatically set up the printer on a rediscovery of HP Network Port. Basically, this port is bound to the monitor so that it will scan the network for your printr before sending a print job (just in case the printer's IP address changes). Function of your network, this can be really useful so that you are not having to reconfigure your printer at any time your restart your router.

The monitor Port Discovery is the part of the software that actually seek the network your printer. If you plan affecting an IP address manually for you printer and to a manual TCP/IP port to print directly to this IP address then you probably don't need the service running.

I hope that answers your question!

  • DeskJet 3050 j610: unable to connect my printer HP Deskjet 3050 J610 to my network wireless at home

I recently change my router a Netgear to a Lynksys wireless. I can't go to my printer. I tried to use the printer setup wizard thing (temporarily connect a USB key), which is on the printer stop blue wireless light flashes, but still couldn't print. When I print a report out of print it directly, the "Configuration Summary" shows the outskirts name (SSID) and Netgear84 (my old router). Hey @dbot,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I understand that you have some problems with the printer all-in-one Deskjet 3050 connection to your new router. I can help you with that.

First of all, we will restore the default values of network on the printer. To do:

Remove the USB cable to the back of the printer.

On the printer, press the wireless icon that looks like a radio tower.

Click on the white button next to settings.
Click on the white button next to default settings.

If there is a screen asking you to confirm, then press the white button next Yes. Blue wireless light should turn off.

Now on your PC we will uninstall all software associated with the printer.

Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

Once installation is complete, you should have the printer connected to your wireless network.

Please let me know if this solves your problem or if you have any other questions. If not, have a great weekend!

To connect to the printer Deskjet 3050 to a wireless network, you will need to temporarily connect to the computer with a USB cable. I'll link the instructions detailed below. If this does not work, let me know and I'll see what I can do to help.

  • HP Deskjet 3050 All in One J610 - do not connect to the network

    Hello

I have a HP Deskjet 3050 All in One J610 peripheral.

It worked fine for about a year, until one day he simply ceased to connect wireless to my network.

I have not changed anything in the network, so I don't really have an idea why this happenned.

The 'Wireless' has stopped flashing and I cannot know where to choose my network of. He asks a PIN (?) when I go to the wireless setup.

    Problem solved.
I used the HP print and Scan Doctor tools, helped me to solve the problem.
Thanks for reading my post and sorry for the spam your forums

  • DeskJet 3050: HP Deskjet 3050 nothing happens when printing from a laptop computer, but works very well of others

So I just got a new laptop and I am trying to connect to my printer. I think he has connected all the beautiful and the printer will appear on my laptop. When I go to print something good, it is said that it is printing on my laptop (including indicating the percentage of how much it is printed) before disappearing from the queue on my screen. Nothing happens however on the printer.

When we use another laptop that is connected before, it prints perfectly.

Not really sure what is in place and was hoping someone could help me!

    Thank you
