  • Dell 944 printer to copy and print very well, but does not scan

My printer will copy and print, but will not scan.  We have recently received a new computer and downloaded all the updates.  I can't understand why I can print and copy but will not scan.

    Rhonda,

You have the OCR program installed?

In the digitization, if you have the disc that came with the printer, and then insert the floppy disk to the printer and keep it from running. Go to my computer and double-click it. Locate the drive that contains the disk Dell inside. Right-click on it, left click Explore. Find the folder of the OCR. In the OCR folder, there is a folder of Abbyy. Right click on setup.exe, which is located in the folder Abbyy and left, click Run as administrator. This will install the OCR program.

  • printer prints from the internet but does not print the document files

My photosmart Hp 6510 series prints from the internet, but do not print documents saved in my Toshiba computer files. He did print before files. What should I do? This message has been incorrectly marked as the solution

Are you connected via USB or you print wirelessly?

I've included a few scareen shots below the best way to go about printing a word document. The icon of the file clicked at the top left, click on print and follow the screenshots below.

Make sure the printer name is identical to the one that you want to print to. older printers may appear in the window also so do of course have chosen the right one.

  • Printer installation problem. Watch is printers and fax machines, but does not print

I had to move my printers due to a collapse of the motherboard.   I moved my HP DeskJet 710C from a computer (under XP SP3, through LPT1:, where he was part of a network home and works very well) to another computer, also under XP SP3 on the same network, but who doesn't have a printer port.   I replace the cable with a USB printer and I tried to install if via a port USB001 printer.   The machine seems to install the printer (manually - it is not automatically find) and it shows in the printers and Faxes folder.   However, it does not print.   Any document disappears into the other, is not listed as a document to print, but it does not reach the printer.    I did everything I can find listed on the HP web site and run the FixIt program nothing works.   A search for network printers, are looking for a printer, provides a list, of which some are listed as invalid.   I think that I had uninstalled to printers to my computer until I tried to install this printer.   Now, I wonder if these "invalid" entries are mucking up of my installation.   How can I remove 'Invalid printer' names in my list of installed printers.   It seems in any simple way.

I have my sure others must have had similar problems, but I can't find it on the net.

    Any help would be welcome.

    Thank you, Tom,.

I have found no useful HP support. They seem to only want to buy a new printer, but if I can't install my old I'll be able to install a new one? Or > when you think that you download using them, you actually download scanning for the third-party driver software, which has then finds all kinds of driver problems > and wants you to pay to get them replaced or updated.

This isn't HP; That's the scammers try to sell you anything for an exorbitant price.

As the computer receives automatic updates from Microsoft and works well otherwise, I do not trust software that detects problems everywhere in my machine. Or am I > stupid? Or is it driver/driver scanner software update that you can trust?

Most of the pilot sites is not trustworthy. I used Device Doctor and found useful. There no drivers to download IIRC; It just tells you that drivers must update and where to find them. Here is an article on this subject (and no, that Thomas is not me):
    http://mintywhite.com/software-reviews/maintenance-software/device-doctor-totally-free/

I'm still a little worried about 'Invalid printer' entries in my system network and feel that if I could get rid of them, I could make progress. When I try > print (via USB connection) my wireless network camera flashes with enthusiasm, typical activity out via the wireless network. The file is certainly went > somewhere, because it is more listed as a document to print.

What printer you put as a default? This should be where the printed document (Word of the device - expected :-)).

You can start automatically with Windows, BUT you will get an arror message if you turn on the computer FRONT of the printer.

  • OfficeJet 6500 stopped 709n of print, print e-mail messages but does not print silkscreen.

I deleted and reinstalled the driver software, I run WIN7, but drive is not compatible. I have reset my wireless connection and all the test gives a good result. When I try printing an element, as a recipe that has a print button, printing is no beep, no impression is given. I have this printer for some time and it was working fine until, mysteriously, it stopped and gave to this problem. Nothing will in the queue, at the same time things went in the queue but never printed. Help, please!

    Hi CaptainSteve,

I'm sorry to hear that you have problems with your Officejet 6500 E709n.

I have included a link to the driver Windows 7 given that you indicated that your CD is not the driver for Windows 7. HP has a wizard called printer install wizard for Windows 7 and Windows 8.  It will search for the best driver for your printer and your computer, and you went through to install the appropriate driver.

I have also included a document on what measures to take when print jobs are stuck in the queue in case of problems. HP also has a utility shooting known as the printing and scanning doctor.  It is a diagnostic tool and solves many problems of printing, scanning and connectivity.

  • Works of scan, print says it works but does not work

Hi all! Everyone seems to have the opposite problem - wireless printing, but the scan is not. Not me! I choose "scan" of my printer OR computer interface and it starts right up. Problem is, when I go to print it crosses the 'impression' screen, then said "finished printing" (no crash, error, or something in the queue to delete - it's in the queue, then it disappears as if printed), but no results of the company at the end of the printer!

Before ask you, yes the printer works (print from a card SD inserted directly on the printer, or old computers connected via a network). Yes, I turned everything and turn it back on. Yes I tried to download printing HP & scan doctor, and he said all right, see ink levels etc, but its test page like any other print job. Yes I deleted the whole HP and re downloaded and searched/connected my computer via the wireless network. And, as previously mentioned, it scans. Oh and tells me that my ink level! Clearly, there is communication, but not for that. What weird sous-parametre I'm missing?

And also, if you can solve this problem, can you give me an idea if it's going to suddenly begins to print 80 pages or I tried to beam on, so I can stop it? : )

    Thank you muchly!

    Hi @theshrew

Please try bypassing the spooler to see if you can print directly to the printer.

    1. click on start and go to devices and printers.
    2. right click on the printer and click on printer properties.
    3. choose the option "print directly to the printer.
    4. click on apply and then OK.

If it works, follow the following steps and try printing again.

Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the Run dialog box

    • Type services.msc and press enter
    • Locate the print spooler and double-click it to open the spooler properties
    • Make sure you that Startup type is set to automatic, if not please click the menu down and select automatic
    • Under Service status, please stop the server, wait a moment, and then click Start

If bypassing the spooler does not have a feel successful, let me know.

  • HP 8600 will print a test page but does not Word print

    Hello

My HP 8600 worked very well, but is no longer allows to print from Word. It will print when I go to the HP page to test, but not from anywhere else.

    I'm on a Mac OS X.9.5

I tried to uninstall and reinstall.

    Thank you

HM, OK, thanks for getting back to me!

    Try power cycling network devices:
Turn off the printer and the computer and unplug the router for 1 minute (do not press the buttons on the router).
Plug the router back in and wait another minute, and then turn on the printer and the computer and test print.

  • Printer gets the job, but does not print the entire Page

When I try to print on my network from my laptop printer, the printer receives the job, but only print a tiny part of the page, leaving about 90% white.  He does it everywhere where I launched a print of.  Excel, Word, Web sites and pictures.  All documents, it's the same thing.  I'm guessing it's something simple, but since a few days I can't understand it.  All of the suggestions.

    Hi BobbyPhillips

1 can get you a preview of the page you print completely?

    2. What is the brand and model of the printer?

The problem might be related to the printer settings. I suggest to get an overview of the page and check if the printer settings have been correctly configured. You can also check cartridge and any hardware problem associated with the printer.

    I hope this helps.

  • The driver Wizard indicates your printer drivers are disabled, but does not solve.

Series OfficeJet 6500 E709a.  Windows 7 64-bit.       Printer operates from Word, emails, copy function. Two programs, Photoshop and Printshop, no longer print when the order to print it.  PrintShop says "install a printer".  Print shop has patches in the queue for the printer and will not print.  Driver HP Assistant says:

The current full HP software is already installed for the printer selected but the basic features drivers seem to be missing or misconfigured.  Click Next. After the click: d are turn off the drivers of your printer, click next to allow them.

These responses wrap with no other option.

  • Printer HP 8600 Ok, but does not print anything

I have tried everything I can thingk of. My HP8600 (Wi FI) pro works very well, the PC says it's all Ok, no problem, but I cannot print anything (it was working perfectly a few days ago).

It can scan from the printer to a computer predefined shared directory without any problems, but the PC does not print anything, even not the computer test page and nnthing present in the queue either.

I ping the printer without problem!

I have reinstlalled the pilot tiimes much, at no. avail etc...

problem remains the same, says there is a configuration problem, I'm lost.

In computers, it says after the installation, but the icon of the image is the kind of an empty rectangle, not the picture of the printer itself.

Hope you can help. Maybe I'll try to destroy the driver and load it again, it's the last thing I can think.

    Hi, Rolland,.

Welcome to the Microsoft community. I might help you.

To better understand the issue, I would need more information on your side.

    1. What is the brand and model of the scanner?

    2. Do you get any error messages? If Yes, what is the full error message?

This problem might have occurred because of these reasons:

    1. Corrupted driver.

    2. Hardware problem.

    Method 1:
I suggest you to run hardware store and check if it helps.

    (a) press the Windows keyboard.

    (b) Troubleshooting type in the search box and press enter.
    (c) click on material and audio.

    (d) click on hardware and devices and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Method 2:
If the problem persists, I suggest you to download and install the latest scanner driver\software on the manufacturer's Web site.

Hope this information helps. Reply to the post with an up-to-date report of the issue so that we can help you more.
