My HP Officejet Pro L7680 all-in-one will not print blue but my ink level is fine.
My HP Officejet Pro L7680 all-in-one will not print blue but my ink level is fine. I tried aligning the printheads and clean the print heads, but still does not work. Help!
Thank you. It seems odd that the magenta print very well and it seems that the cyan and magenta use the same print head? I will contact HP support. Thanks again for your help.

I started my printer and it won't print in black. Don't copy in black no more. Test page does not work and the color works very well. I changed all the cartridges, so it isn't the ink... No idea what is the problem? He served 6 months off and disconnected.

My HP Officejet 6500 E709n all-in-one will not print black. All other colors work very well. Have you tried what follows - new black cartridge installed, ran the print heads clean utility, made sure the wind was compatible black ink cartridge, turned printer off and restarted. Print tests still not print black - other colors and images to print, but not text black or shades of black in images. Any suggestions on how to fix or what needs to be repaired? Thank you.
Hi jim: I just had the same problem a few minutes ago. After having gone through all the troubleshooting steps, I realized it was all just a bad cartridge. The PIN on the printer heads were not reading the new cartridge, so nothing in black print could be printed. I installed a new black cartridge and I could resume my printing projects. I then contacted the HP store directly to report the faulty cartridge while they could send me a new, that I won't be out of pocket for a cartridge I bought directly from them.
Hope this helps you with your problem.
I just upgraded to Windows 8. My HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 all-in-One printer works fine, but the scanner won't. I get an error message that says: cannot find the scanner. What can I do to correct this situation? HP has a driver that works with Windows 8?
Did you uninstall this printer before the upgrade to Windows 8?
If not, then I uninstall the software for the 8500 A910 and reinstall with the drivers up to date.
The link here for the driver for the 8500 A910 page has e-all-in-one
You can also get drivers for HP printers in Windows 8 by using the HP printer installation wizard.
I have two printers, exactly the same thing, 5530 want all-in-one. One is in Arizona where I live part-time and we're in Oregon where I live part-time. I stopped instant Oregon printer ink when I went to AZ last November. I use instant ink program to AZ while there but she stopped this week when I went to Oregon. I tried to restart instantly ink, got an email that it was successful, but can not get all documents to print from laptop to the printer. Yesterday that it said unable to connect to the server and I chatted for two hours with HP on how to solve the problem. It will print the web now compatible congratulations sheet, but if you ask the computer to print, it circles repeatedly and it seems to wake up the printer at all.
- If the printer is connected to your Mac via a USB cable, remove it.
- Close any programs you have open.
- Click the icon of your Apple system and print and Scan preferences.
- Hold down the CTRL key and click the icon of your printer on the left.
- Click on reset printing system.
If you removed the USB cable, connect. Otherwise:
- Click the more in the lower left corner.
- Select your printer from the list.
- In the box titled use select your printer in the list.
- If you have an option to choose a name or location for the printer, enter a name such as Oregon. This should help you and your Mac to make the difference between your two printers later.
- Click on Add.
Please let me know the results after following the above. If you can print, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

HP C4280 all-in-One will not print color or B & W photos on photo paper. Color and B & W photos on plain paper prints. It is used to print normally on all documents. No change, I am aware of cause this malfunction. Any suggestions?
Open your printers folder and right-click on the printer and review the printing preferences. Set the media media photo here and in the application you are printing from. When you say that it will not be printed on photographic support what do you mean... the page is white? the quality is bad?
My HP Photosmart C5180 all-in-One does not print black without be eliminated text or streaks in the text. Will print fine text color.
Have tried all the "patches" you list and much more. The printer prints fine on my old PC Windows XP and worked fine on my
new PC using Windows 7 until recently.
Please don't tell me to... Reinstall, download the new driver, install the new cartridge, clean align the print heads, different paper or go to 'solutions '... Etc... Etc. I HAVE ALREADY BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT!
Everything you "patches" end with 'the unit of service... " WHAT IN THE WORLD WHAT THAT MEANS!
This has been a nice printer for more than 5 years, but is somewhat glitch spoil me when using the BLACK INK?
Thanks for the reply, expecting not one, but what you say is all that we need to buy another printer if we did all the "fixes", etc... etc. you know that take a printer to a repair shop will cost more
then buy a new one.
It was stupid of saying me to check on the warraty of HP page when I already told you that the unit is 5 years old.
But don't thank you for the reply... even if it was a joke!
Recently had to wipe my hard drive and reinstall everything. I use Windows 7 (64-bit), and my all-in-one does not print anything from the computer.
I downloaded the latest driver for the 1315 all in one series (AIO_CDB_NonNet_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe) from the Web site. After that several unsuccessful attempts installation, following the troubleshooting guide, I was finally able to have it installed, but it still does not print. It will scan and copy, but not reading as a printer.
It seems to be a problem with the computer and the printer communicate with each other. Have you tried another USB cable or port? Have you tried setting the printer wireless or network? If he works on the network, then the problem is with the USB cable or port. You are using a USB hub?
Upgrade to Windows 8.1 on Pavilion g6. OfficeJet 4500 Wireless all-in-one still print but not scan. Downloaded driver full features. Installation quit giving the error message "file not found". Tried the 'chat' with no resolution sessions
Thanks for the reply. HP has called since then and was finally able to install the driver.
My HP6210 all in one printer will not print from a computer that has Vista. My operating system is Windows. The printer worked fine with my old laptop that did not have Vista. However, as soon as I have my Phoenicia connected, which has Vista, it will not print. My computer doesn't work anymore so I need to use hers. What can I do to make it work? Thank you
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I noticed that your HP Officejet 6210 won't print from your Windows Vista computer. I am pleased to see that for you!
First of all, I would make sure that the full feature software and drivers are installed, by downloading it from this link: HP full feature software and drivers. Then I would run the HP print and Scan Doctor, to ensure that everything works.
Let's start with these steps and go from there!
I hope this helps!

I have just upgraded to Windows 7. I installed the HP update software/driver for my HP C6150 all-in-One. I can scan, but I cannot print. I can print a test page from the HP solution Center under the Toolbox settings/printers; However, it is not a full test page. I was also able to print an Extended Self Test diagnostic of the HP solution Center under the settings/printer Toolbox. When I try to print from anywhere else the printer icon appears, but it shows 0 pending work. Nothing happens, and the icon of the printer ends by goes. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software/driver with no luck. I can't find a patch and update HP says there is no new update. All diagnostic tests, I'm saying that everything works correctly. Please help me.
I was able to remove the printer drivers by using a printer driver removal utility. The printer driver for Windows Vista and Windows 7 (I've upgraded to Windows 7) were apparently contradictory. I reinstalled the software/driver and everything is good. Thank you!
Twice now, I sent a cartridge black staple, thinking that there was something wrong with it because the printer would print fine for the first copies of 20-40, then stops. When it happened a third time, I started thinking maybe this isn't the ink cartridges. Just the printer does not print in black. Can I change the font color of blue and all is well. When I try to print something from black, the printer ACTS like it was printing but nothing comes up except the color elements. The diagnostics show no problem, that the printer has no error message, even shows the full ink cartridge (which is)... but it just will not print in black.
Try to soak the printhead as described in this post.
The printer tells me the envelopes are the right size and will not print. I use Windows 7. I put in all the exact measurements for the envelope in both software (Word 2007 or Hallmark Cards), then in the window HP I set the size, but it will print only on paper in full format, not the envelope. Is it possible to substitute the rejection of the printer of the envelope?
Check the paper type: in the C7280 printing preferences/options is set to plain paper.
Yellow & blue color on the machine being empty cartridges, the machine doesn't let me print anything in black ink only. It cancels the print job. I want to use the black print cartridge (large & 1/2 full) before installing the new HP all-in-one, I bought. The black cartridge is expensive, about $70 + as I recall, & I'll be doomed if I lose. Anyone know of any way to get around in blue & yellow cartridges so I can print in black? This kind of greed on the part of a business is driving me crazy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Change the printer in gray scale, see the Manual pg 164.
