my HP photosmart Plus B210 won't print black. a cartridge Printhead Cleaner would help?

my HP printer has been activated in May 2010.  How his cleaned print head?

There is a document with steps to help solve the problems of print, such as no black print quality, in the B210 located here.

If the steps documented not to get the backup device and go, then we have to determine the status of the guarantee. If the printer was purchased in May 2010 and has been purchased without carepack, then the printer is out of warranty.

We can try a few things at this point:
(1) can try to clean the printhead manually, by using workaround in the thread located here.
(2) you can buy the print head for this device since the HP parts store using the CN642a part number. The HP parts store can be found here.
(3) we can try to buy another printer, please consider to call the HP Technical Support and investigate the upgrade program.

    Experts!  Help, please!  HP support by phone could not find a solution.

    I bought a new Photosmart Plus B210 last month.  I am a moderately advanced computer user and have not been able to print a picture of this printer, EXCEPT when printing directly from a card inserted into the machine.

    I installed the printer on two laptops, one running Vista, the other running Windows 7.

    The problem persists if printing wireless or USB.

    The printer works perfectly as this major problem.

    Thanks in advance for your help.  If I can't make this work, I'll have to return this printer and will likely purchase another brand.

    First of all, in vista - please turn off the printer, restart your pc and to clean the print queue and turn on the printer.

    Now, make sure you select the exect for the tray paper size, that the same for the type of paper and size when printing... now see if there is a difference.

    What about win7 - what do you want to see exectly? the option is grayed out? You may see other options to select related to it?

  • Photosmart Plus b210 - intermittent wireless printing problem

    I'm new to this forum so I appologise if I'm a little ditsy...

    I just bought a Photosmart Plus b210 and have successfully connect it wirelessly to my iMac. However, since I got it, I had a problem when trying to print wireless from it.

    When I try to print from my iMac, it will open the print job request and it will say 'sign in' at the start, but then she stays like that for about a minute or two before, it says that there is an error. At this point, I have to cancel the work because he'll just try again and give me the same result.

    I found the only time wherever it prints is when he says "connecting" then after a few seconds it will say 'inactive' and only then it will actually print. So what I'm basically doing print, wait a few seconds, if there is no 'inactive' message I'll cancel the job and reprint the document, and follow this process until I see a notification "inactive." Once I am successfully able to print a job, it will allow me to print documents more first time but it is frustrating that I have to go through this lengthy process everytime I turn on my printer.

    Someone at - it from similar solutions/experiences?

    We will set an IP address of the printer:

    -Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
    -Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
    -Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
    -On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). Apple is 10.0.1.2 a.200 use 10.0.1.220 for your printer.
    -Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
    -Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the bridge and the first DNS. Let the second white.
    -Click 'apply '.

    Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

    After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

    I tried all the techniques of "Troubleshooting" listed on the page Web - align, clean the print heads, install the new cartridges, looking for trouble with the vents, etc.  I have only used HP ink cartridges.

    Usually, it is a result of dried/clogged ink nozzles in the printer or the print head.

    According to some other users on the forums, you can remove the print head (use this guide if you are unsure how: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01944580)

    Make sure the cartridges are removed from the print head

    Dive head in hot water, nozzles downwards. (about 1 in. of water) and leave any residue of ink to flow. This process should take about 15 minutes. Ensure that the print head is completely dried out and there is no moisture in the electrical contacts or the rest of the part.

    I see that your printer is not printing black once the print head had been replaced.  I would be more then happy to provide you with some suggestions that can make things work again.  The first thing I would suggest is to remove the cartridges and printheads the printer and manually clean the electrical contacts on the printhead and the printer.  It is possible ink sprayed on the copper contacts causing a bad connection, when the new print head has been installed.  If the printhead is not getting a good connection, you may notice messages on the printer error and poor print quality.

    I just installed all new cartridges (they are real HP). But it does not print black.

    I went so all the help which is suggersted in the forum. But, no luck.

    I think that the print head is probably bad.  I spent about $70.00 for four cartridge 564XL.

    I'm too lazy on the purchase of a new black cartridge.

    Also, when I try to scan the alignment page, it says not found alignment page.

    It's more than 3-4 years. So, I probably need to buy a new.   HP maintenance tool detects any problems.

    I just wish I have not wasted $70.00 for the cartridges.  A new HP printr costs less than...

    The message here is a troubleshooting document links for the Photosmart 5520.  If steps it do not solve the problem, Please contact the HP Support, even if the printer is no longer under warranty.   If the above does not give satisfactory results so please post back here after contact you HP.

  • Photosmart C6380 AiO won't print black

    Hello

    We have a HP Photosmart C6380 all-in-one, that allows to print is darker. The photo in the black and color cartridges are OK I can say. This is the regular black which does not print.

    We had this happen the last time we changed the regular black ink cartridge. For some reason any the new cartridge was not print anything so temporarily, we went back to the old cartridge and it worked again. Then we took on the old cartridge and put in new cartridge and it continued to work. Now, the cartridge is about half empty and he left black print.

    This should not be a computer related question. But in the case where it is important: WIndows XP SP3. Sorry I don't know exactly what version of driver that I use but I ran HP update by the solution Center-> help-> Check for Updates and everything is up to date as far as I can tell.

    I tried to get the printer to print in black through the menus on the printer itself Setup-> tools-> Printer Status Report. He throws only a blank page. I tried to run the HP Hardware Diagnostic Utility. He points out that everything is fine, but, of course, when I told it to print a test page it launches a blank page.

    We finally gave up and put in a new black cartridge fresh (564 XL) and it does not print anything. Any suggestions?

    The printer seems to have spontaneously printed a test page with black text on it. No one said here of the printer to do a test page. The black cartridge now seems to work. Just a report of the status of the printer and everything seems OK.

  • HP Photosmart Plus B210 Series does NOT print black

    I use Windows 7 to print to the printer HP Photosmart Plus B210 Series. The black cartridge has been listed as half full, but I installed a new black cartridge with no improvement. I selected the clean and align the print head, but the printer prints only the color inks and not black. I checked the vent of the cartridge on the black ink cartridge, and it is clear.

    Any suggestions?

    I have completed the troubleshooting steps and nothing fixed the problem. I even followed the instructions for soaking the printhead for 10 minutes in hot water. I guess that the printhead has gone bad and needs replaced. Thanks for your help.

  • Photosmart HP 6510 will not print black.

    I bought this printer less than 2 years ago, but the warranty has expired. Ran through all the troubleshooting steps and replace the black half full with a new cartridge. It still won't print black - other cartridges work fine. What is going on?

  • New ink print head error on Photosmart Plus B210 alert

    My HP Photosmart Plus B210 printer has suddenly started giving me the following error message:

    "New alert ink print head.

    Used cartridges may not be not all print head start.

    Install the new cartridge or press OK to continue with those used. »

    It was new HP brand cartridges when I installed them. I printed earlier today without any problems and did nothing for the printer before the error.

    (I use a 32 bit Windows Vista OS on my Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop and am printing via a wireless router.)

    -What it means and how to fix it? When I try to print, it just says: "print" on the touch screen but nothing prints ever and when I try to stop it, it freezes and I have to unplug it.

    First try printing a self-test page.
    1. click on the setup of your printer
    2. choose reports
    3. click on the status page or printer self-test report

    Hello, I got the printer above for about 4 years with no problems. He suddenly started printing blank pages. I went through all the cleaning cycles, alignment etc., but without success. I bought a new genuine HP print head and installed new cartridges and still once, it prints blank pages. The message I get is that alignment process has failed. Does this mean the printer is down and I'll have to buy a new one, or can you suggest a solution? I went through all the steps suggested for this type of printer on your forum, but I still get blank pages. It is a disaster for me and my wife whose work depends on the network printer. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Given you have changed the print head and the problem persists, according to me, maybe it's time to consider a replacement printer.

    Alignment is a failure because the printer does not black. If you have followed all the steps in the following document, it might be time to give us a call to weigh your replacement options: HP Photosmart Plus B210 printer - color or black ink not print.

  • Since I have OSX Lion I can't print/scanning wireless more with my HP Photosmart Plus B210?

    Given that I've upgraded to OsX Lion my HP Photosmart Plus B210 stopped working corrctly.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled but ntohing worked.

    The report of the printer tells me that my printer is connected correctly.

    Have you installed using the installation disc?

    If so, make sure to install the Compatible Lion software below:

    First, uninstall completely any software installed:

    * Please note that the following steps will delete all HP software installed.
    1. click on menu go (click the desktop, then watch the menu in the bar at the top of the page)
    2. Select Applications
    3 select the Hewlett-Packard folder
    4. double-click on uninstall HP application
    5 follow the uninstall to prompt to select a device to uninstall
    6. press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall
    7 approve any prompt to uninstall all HP software.

    Then download and install the Lion software for your printer below:

  • Series HP Photosmart Plus B210: Connectionproblem iMac - HP

    Since I installed Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) (OS x 10.8 Mountain Lion) my printer does not (always) enable to printing purposes. What should I do to make the printer work properly?

    When I stopped the printer completely for awhile (220 V, several minutes), the printer can begin to work, but not in all cases.

    Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

    I see that you have some problems with printing regularly from your machine Mac OS x 10.10 for the all-in-one Photosmart Plus B210 printer. I can help you with that.

    To start, make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Once this is done, if the printer is connected to your Mac via a USB cable, remove it. If it is connected wireless network, turn the printer off and remove the power cord at the back of the router for a minute. When the lights come back on the router, turn on the printer.

    Now, let's try printing. If you were able to print quickly then the issue is related to the network. This document explains How to troubleshoot wireless connection with your printer. As a result of this document should help you identify why your connection issues.

    If the printer is still not printing on a regular basis then:

    1. Click on your Apple icon, system preferences and printers and Scanners.
    2. Hold down the CTRL key and click on the picture of the printer on the left side of the screen.
    3. Click on reset printing system.
    4. Open your utility Applications, file and disk utilities.
    5. Click on verify disk permissions. This should take about 10 minutes.
    6. Click on repair disk permissions. This should take about 10 minutes.
    7. Restart your Mac.
    8. If you removed the USB cable, connect. If this is not the case, click on your Apple icon, system preferences and printers and Scanners. In this window, click the icon 'more' in the lower left corner. Now, select your printer in the list. Click in the box next to and select your printer. Finally, click Add.

    At this point, you should be able to print. If this isn't the case, please let me know what happened following my directions and I will be able to help you further.

    HP Photosmart Plus B210 printer started printing blank pages. Seems to go through the motion of printing from word documents, but comes out blank. Printer did print a photo.
