  If you want to try to roll back the clock I can describe a procedure to do this. In short, it would be to create a new folder of parameters (a new Firefox profile), deletion of the contents of this folder and copy the contents of your old data from Firefox on the desktop file.

  Does not take long, if you are interested, but then you have to troubleshoot why the old profile was slow. Here's how:

  Resucitating your profile before reset

  (1) create a new Firefox profile:

  Close Firefox and starts in the Profile Manager, as described in this article:

  Use the Profile Manager to create and delete profiles Firefox

  Any time want spending profiles, close Firefox and come back to this dialog box. When you create a new profile, I recommend that you use the suggested default location, not to delete all profiles without first making backups. For quick reference, name the 12 profile so you can easily recognize.

  (2) when you start in the new profile, it is almost empty. Open the profile folder using

  Help > troubleshooting information > "view file" button.

  The bar of Windows Explorer should show a name combining random characters with 12.

  (3) keep this folder open, exit Firefox. Allow a few moments for Firefox complete update of the files in the profile folder. Then delete the contents of the folder new profile. This will leave you with a profile folder 12 vacuum.

  (4) in a separate window, open the folder of old data from Firefox on your desktop. Copy all the data of this file in the profile folder 12 vacuum.

  (5) run Firefox. It is expected to launch in which looks exactly like your discount to zero prior configuration.

  Now on troubleshooting. If Firefox feels slow, I suggest starting with Safe Mode. It is a standard diagnostic tool in order to avoid interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

  You can restart Firefox in Mode safe help

  Help > restart with disabled modules

  In the dialog box, click on 'Start mode safe' (not Reset)

  I had a list of calendars in WLM.  After the migration, one a few years ago, I always had two elements that says Original Calendar.  I deleted one of these calendars "Originals", which seemed to have virtually nothing in it and all appointments are gone!

  I tried to do a system restore.  I looked on here where someone said to use the button CANCEL.  I see not a button CANCEL anywhere.

• iPhone 4S has been reset and claims has been lost or stolen? Help, please

  He may be sitting on the gray screen because it's stuff that should be done after the power failure.  Longest I've seen here is a user who has had to sit on the gray screen for 3 hours before he left for blue - then office.

  Keep the laptop plugged in-stalled upward, so it can stay cool and wait - it can also sit on the blue screen for a while.

  After that your desktop comes up - do a restart and look at the screens - as it might still have some startup problem - if yes - once more generally he does.

• I changed my debit card and country and now I've lost all my purchases

  I moved from Britain to the Ireland and needed to update my debit card on my apple as my British card account was obsolete. I was not allowed to add a credit card to Irish on a UK account so I interchanged, without thinking about it. Now it looks like I lost any purchase I've ever made.   Check if the purchases you lost can be bought in Ireland.   If they can communicate with iTunes and ask for explanations.   If they can't, it's why you lost.

  If the original HP recovery partition is intact then you should be able to create the recovery media.

  Before attempting to improve once again, use a hard drive of commerical known reliable product imaging in the image of your hard drive to external media.  This will save you a lot of time and effort, if you never experience questions requiring to return to a fresh factory restore and then have to go through the whole update process again. The image will also save you if your hard drive fails.  If the HP recovery media is the plain W8 then take the shot.  Then after all the updates are applied and your with set success to date to W8.1 and then take another picture.

  Hi, you can try it for only bookmarks: first open the bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > restore and see if you have a backup there.

  The toolbars are still on display in your browser?

  If you still have the address bar, right click on any part that is not a text box or the icon, or if you do not like that of any space right click on the three horizontal lines on the right side of the address bar window. This should show some options, click on 'Menu Bar' and the tabs you are missing should appear.

  As a side note, usually if these options are missing, your icon of firefox in the upper left corner of the window should look different (being a rectangular button itself as opposed to an icon), and the 'file', 'Edition', 'Bookmarks', etc., are found after clicking on this button.
