  I understand you are trying to set an application to open its windows on a particular space. To do this, move to the space that you want to use for the desired application, and then choose 'The Office' in the list of options you mentioned see (under Options).

  The option that you describe as missing is displayed only if you have connected an additional external display to your iMac and would set the app to open on the iMac screen or the external display.

  Office on the screen [number]: the application opens in the current space on a specific screen (if more than one display is available).

• Windows Server 2012 Remote Desktop "flicker/crash.

  I am running Windows Server R2 Standard 2012 on a server.

  When multiple users use RDP (Remote Desktop Connection) to connect to the server says, those who log after the first connected user (i.e. the user 2, 3, 4... etc) experience a "flicker" of the desktop and applications open close for said flicker when they try to open any application.

  So to explain step by step, once connected to the server using the RDP Protocol, the Server Manager application opens (the only application affected by flicker). Suppose I want to open the Task Manager, so I go to the taskbar, do a task manager, right click. Then the box office disappears for a time, including the taskbar and the background, while the application server manager remains open.

  This happens for all applications other than the Server Manager.

So look like an easy option, I agreed. It seems to have solved the problem (fingers crossed), but now it seems that I need to format the hard drive.   Firefox, Thunderbird and Quicken were active when I loadad & ran a slot machine game. When I left the game & click on icon to return to Firefox full screen, I could see the flash of the image to the right of my screen and disappear.   What is the 'alternative' open window that keeps popping up and what alternative programs you are requested to choose? Either by the way, not by chance is offered a selection of browsers to choose (this must be done in the UK and the European Union). If so just click OK button to connect to the internet. Once you have done this you will be given the choice of browser. If you do not want to change the browser, you already have IE 8.0, so I see no reason to change, then close the window and have no other problems. If you have a "Choose Browser" icon on your desktop, it can be removed.
