  I can't connect my iPhone to iTunes on my Sony Vaio laptop. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes several times, as recommended on the Apple Support communities, nothing helps. I also deleted and set my phone from scratch. The device is recognized as a storage device, but not iTunes. Can someone please advise as to why this would be the case? As far as I know, everything on my laptop is up-to-date and the phone will not always be recognized.

  I guess you mean that the sync button in iTunes, not on the iPad, will not work. If you are sure you have the latest version of iTunes and iOS (your profile shows 8.1) try quitting iTunes on the computer, restart the computer and force restart your iPad

  If you use iOS 10.x, you need the latest version of iTunes, 12.5.1. If you use iTunes 12.1.3, it makes me think that you have Windows XP or Vista. Is this the case?   The problem is that the version of your OS X may be too old to support the latest version of iTunes.

  If you are unable to update or restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

  You can put your device iOS in mode of recovery and then restore with iTunes.

  Recently I noticed that whenever I try to connect my iPhone 5 c (with the USB cord) to my laptop (currently Windows 10) to sync all my music, it does not / is not recognized at all. I tried every different USB port, I tried:

  -Restart each device

  -Uninstall and reinstall iTunes

  -Check for updates for both devices (whether they are for the program, drivers, or for each device itself, I.E. of IOS or Windows)

  -Through the Apple website and followed all the troubleshooting guides (iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support)

  I don't know what else to do or try, and I just want to listen to my music. Any help would be really appreciated.

  I have a 30 GB iPod Classic model PA002LL. After the recent update, I can no longer sync my iPod with iTunes on Windows. It's not to recognize that the iPod is connect. I have already uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled to see if that could fix the problem, but I had no luck with that. However, the computer recognizes it because it will charge the unit.

  Only, I went to verizon and purchased the iPhone 6 s. I have the iPhone 5 s. I created a backup of 5s on my computer in iTunes (the latest version). I restored the iPhone 6 s at startup screen. Whenever I get to the screen saying connect to iTunes to restore the backup, nothing happens. The iPhone will appear in the post. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes. Both phones are updated to the latest software. I noticed that the apple mobile hub is not displayed in the devices (Apple Mobile Device USB Driver), but the apple mobile program is installed. Uninstalling and reinstalling itunes was supposed to solve this problem, but didn't. The computer had some updates, but nothing to really what appeared to be related. Any help would be great! I'll try to go to the Apple store to transfer my phones data because it is too big for icloud, but I'll need later so that it can connect to iTunes. It is very odd that the 5s will connect and show, backup, etc in iTunes, but the 6s won't. I have windows 64xbit 10.

  I found this solution.  My symptoms are that windows 7 64 bit detected my iphone, show it in devices such as cameras and Printers window and would transfer photos on the iphone, but the iphone do not show up in ITUNES.  I followed the suggestion to http://forums.techarena.in/guides-tutorials/1168298.htm that says basically made a right click of the camera of the iphone, update the driver using the driver to c:\program files Apple Mobile device support\drivers.  The system has added a new device in the devices window and printers, saying: Apple Mobile Device USB Driver, once again with the same camera icon.  ITUNES now once more shows my IPHONE and sync up without problem.
