My iTunes is full and I can't open it to remove files

Hello my iTunes is full on my new MacBook Air.  A warning appeared asking me to delete files and I went to do it was too late and it won't open now. can I delete the iTunes files without opening it? Thank you very much.

Hello

If you have an external hard drive with sufficient capacity, you can move your iTunes folder all there by holding down command while dragging the folder iTunes users / home folder / music on the external hard drive.

You can open iTunes from there launching iTunes while holding down the button Option key, then choose library and navigate to the folder iTunes of the external HD.

P.S. You say "iTunes is full", but I don't think that there is a limit to how many songs iTunes holds, or if there is, it must be very high. I have 40 GB of music in iTunes and other users have a lot more. Most likely your boot disk is complete.
