  Well, I finally got to work by trial and error.  Here are the steps I used to run:

  (1) make sure that you are not behind a Firewall/VPN/etc, just connect directly to the internet (if possible).  I use Adobe for my work laptop, and I was informed that this could be a problem during the installation process.

  (2) uninstall Photoshop via the creative cloud application interface.

  (3) click on icon creative cloud of the system and "Quit" status bar (it is automatically started for me to a previous start)

  (4) make a right click on the creative cloud desktop icon and choose "Run as Administrator"

  (5) Photoshop re - install

  After completing the above steps, I can now open any file png, jpg, gif, etc, so that start a new file.  I have no idea why it works or if my not play no role in fixing it, but I thought it was worth sharing for others to try if they encounter a similar problem.  It could be the firewall that I was behind, or the permissions (I don't think creative cloud starts as an administrator).  But I'm not able to say that I know the exact resolution.  I hope this helps!

Suddenly, when I clicked import, and then click my card, vignettes on the map came yesterday, but most have been grayed out, and the program wanted to import photos select a few. I made the updated for 5 of Lightroom, but still can't get the photos to import. The same thing happens again today with a second card, and I can't uncheck / check all photos or find another way to get photos of gray to become not gray or import.   These questions are normally due to a kind of hardware malfunction.

  The cards themselves may be a problem (less likely because you have used multiple cards).

  The card reader could be a problem.

  The USB cable connecting the card reader to the computer may also be defective (you could try another cable and see what happens).

  Sometimes the USB port and the controller are may be damaged.

  Something to try passing through all of the options is to copy images from the card on your system, and then try to import them into Lightroom from the hard drive and see if the problem persists.

  This process is something a little test by mistake.
