  • HP laptop G72: Battery only charge while turned off.

Hello, employees and others on the forum, I have a problem with my laptop currently battery. Are examples.

-Does not load when turned on, but cool when turned off.
-Port charger LED flashes between orange and white when it is off. (Although, when turned on the orange blink.)

I tried the method of discharge. (Disconnect the battery and Charger AC/DC, hold the power button / stop for about 30 seconds, then plug the battery back in and re-clogging the AC charger.) I had a problem with other methods, like I can't turn on the computer without the battery. I actually had this for 4 years and the warranty is already dissipated and it still works very well, except for the battery, so I don't want to lose, so if you could help me fix my laptop, that would be great! Thanks in advance if the problem is resolved.

4 years is about the max for laptop battery life. However, it should run/work with even without battery. You seem to have a defective power adapter - they wear out too.

Get your full model number or product and use it here to find the model of necessary power for your laptop adapter. Even if they don't have in stock, you should be able to find a way... Amazon, eBay, etc.

  • Computer laptop battery "in charge" but stuck at 0%

    Hello

I have a G6-1b79ca Pavilion and the battery stopped charging.

Windows show "Plugged in, load" and level to remain at 0%. Forever.

Of course it is now completely empty.

If I remove the CC of the computer plug, turn it off immediately.

Here's what I did so far, more or less in that order:

    1. replace the battery (recommended by the logon page BIOS...)

    2 tried this popular patch:

Stop-> remove battery and power cord-> hold down the button "POWER" 30 sec-> power supply DC-> Boot->-> battery-> uninstall Microsoft ACPI-Complient control method battery -> Shutdown-> put the battery in the Device Manager (cannot start on him alone because it does not... but maybe that might help)-> start the computer

    3. updated all the drivers and reinstalled all the HP utility (got the Intel drivers on the Intel site)

    4. I updated the BIOS with the latest version and reset to default settings

5 tested the power supply with a multimeter (Psu unloaded, sleeve ground referenced outside it read 19.8V = internal plug, 18V centering PIN)

6 replace the motherboard (which has already been replaced)

    7. replace the power supply

    8 reinstalled Windows

9 weld the power directly to the motherboard adapter in order to bypass the connections all contacts (cut the CC Plug and soldered the bare wires directly on the pcb)

The utility HP BIOS (F2 on startup) told me that the new battery fails the test and must be replaced. Awesome.

The battery in the utility test assistant (run in Windows) HP tells me that the battery is OK, but would need to be loaded (Seriously? It becomes funny...)

So basically the material is new.

Utility Windows/HP tells me that the battery is OK, but the BIOS utility will tell me to replace it.

    What the hell is happening?

The material is supposed to be (entirely replaced) A1 and windows were completely reinstalled.

Any suggestion? My beginning of sanity to fade...

On a side note, here is the situation that I hope not occurred:

    1. the original battery has failed

    2. he burned the motherboard charging circuit

    3. I replaced the battery then damaged mother burned load circuit card

    4. I finally replaced the motherboard that was damaged by the new battery, which was damaged by the previous motherboard, which was damaged by the original battery...

5 return to square one, hundreds of $ less and a lot of time to lose...

I can't buy ANOTHER motherboard/battery combo without going crazy...

    Thanks for any help!

    HE IS ALIVE! Lolll!

The problem is the new battery, I don't know why, but it was completely empty and never had to charge.

I ask the seller to replace and load a new a bit so I was able to start on battery only.

I removed the power supply and the battery, which held the POWER button / 30 sec and started on the battery alone.

Once in Windows I pluged the charger and now it is fully charged!

Looks like the key here is to be able to start on battery alone. one thing I could never reach while struggling with that drained.

This thread of hope help someone solve battery problems, because there are MANY possible solutions.

Thanks to those who have taken their time to help!

  • Satellite A60 - laptop battery not charge/work

    Hello

My stop laptop when you use the battery power. It will not re-start until I plugged in to the power supply. Every time I disconnected power laptop would shutdown. laptop does not work on batteries, no lights are working.
When it is plugged seeing orange lights. Battery remains 90% fresh even after hours on departure av! I suggest that I can't use the battery power and the battery won't charge.
Only a new battery in a month and has worked well up until now.

I tried toshiba control energy saver but made no difference.

I can't say with certainty if this happens because of the battery or something. In my opinion, it can be either battery or electronic power supply.
Satellite A60's old laptop and everything is possible.

Pre-installed software doesn t have a any influence on this. Toshiba power saver is preinstalled to consumption, Manager, with other words to help reduce battery power consumption and longer battery.

  • HP laptop G3 255: nine 255 G3 laptop battery not charging...

I'll put a G3 255 for a friend and I noticed that the battery won't charge. Indeed, the battery, unlike all the portable precedents that I put in place, had a load zero on the box. From memory, with all previous laptops, new batteries held at least some charges.

Icon in the tray of food says "0% available (plugged in, load)" while the balance of the battery in the utility HP Support Assistant says "the battery works fine but has not been charged recently.

Just to be clear, if I unplug the machine turns off instantly and if I try to turn it on without the power cord plugged in, absolutely nothing happens. Certainly feels as if the battery has no charge be and takes no fees either.

Of course that one day, the machine is under warranty, but I just wanted to get opinions on the question of whether the battery or laptop will be the problem. Only, I discovered the flaw after hours to transfer all the stuff from his old address so prefer to avoid it even once! I hope that HP sends out (or swap) a new battery.

Anyone has similar experiences with batteries not charging or maintain any load and with HP response?

Your description describes one main battery failed.

The main battery and the mains adapter are covered under warranty for any cost of replacement devices guarantee.

I ask that your question is raised.

  • Why my battery only charges to 76%?

I have a laptop Gateway NV53A I bought a year ago and the battery charge up to 76%. The light on my computer not display blue more that it's always red.

Question (or 'Test'): turn on the laptop, but instead start in Windows, go into the settings 'system BIOS.  To do this, turn off the laptop and when you turn it on - gave is a gateway - start by pressing "F2" on the keypad once per second.  That should put you in THE system BIOS.

See if there is a section in the BIOS for your battery - saying wewillgive health and the current load on the battery.

Remain in the BIOS on this system for an hour with plugged into the power supply.

    Your battery levy?

Start Windows and refer to the web site for download to support and drivers Gateway and locate your exact model laptop and download the latest motherboard chipset drivers and install them.

Batteries last between one and two years currently in laptops given how many people use them.  (Many people leave the battery in the machine all the time, completely busy and currently in use, but connected.)

  • Laptop battery not charging?

    I use a HP b4p41pa with Microsoft windows 7 home 64-bit

The problem I have is that I noticed that I had not used the charge for a while cable so I checked my percentage of left to find I got 86% with computer reporting I got 116 hours and left 32mins. Of course, that couldn't be good if I put the charger and after 10 minutes, and then verified the number once again, still 86%.

I took out the charger and it still says 86%. All the way up to what it off no charge at all. I put the left rear feeder lunch and in. Since then, charger in for 30 minutes or outside for 4-5 minutes, it says I have 5% left and until his remarks goes.

In all honesty I don't know if it's the battery, charger, or if the computer falsely reports the amount of fees because I used it for these 4-5 minutes without it cutting.

I ridiculed my wife to purchase a Toshiba who gave his problems after 2 months, but I got this HP for the grand total of 4 days. He can't have these problems already surely?

Thanks for any help in advance and I hope I've provided enough information.

    Hello

  • Strange behavior of TM2 recharge battery - only charges when almost dead

    Hi people,

I have a new 2200 TM2T who exhibits some strange behavior of battery charge.  When plugged in, the battery will say "connected, charge", but the battery does not charge at all, no matter how much time he has left in (reported remaining level remains the same).  However, if I leave the battery discharged completely, it will start loading again, all the way up to 100%.
